Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti Roman Bukan Pasar Malam yaitu bagaimana ideologi yang diusung dalam Roman Bukan Pasar Malam. Bukan Pasar Malam karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer sebagai obyek material penelitian ini menceritakan tentang keadaan ketidakadilan yang dialami oleh pengarang. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Diceritakan tentang tokoh yang gagah menjadi lemah ketika memperoleh kabar ayahnya yang seorang guru sakit dan akhirnya meninggal. Roman ini dapat digambarkan sebagai bentuk kemarahan terhadap sistem individu, dan organisasi dari pihak yang menindas yang berlindung di balik sistem keadilan. Di bagian awal Bukan Pasar Malam ini, Pramoedya menginginkan kemenangan demokrasi yang bebas buat individu-individu yang tidak bisa mengelak dari demokrasi.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to find out the correlation between watching movies with subtitles and students’ vocabulary mastery as well as to find out students’ perspectives that affect watching movies with subtitles and vocabulary mastery at Universitas Bina Darma. A quantitative method was used in this research. The instruments of the research were the vocabulary test and questionnaire. The samples were 60 students of the Information System Study Program Universitas Bina Darma. The samples were chosen by using the purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed manually by using Product Moment Formula and recalculated by using Product Moment Formula from SPSS 20 Version (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). The result of the analysis showed that there was a positive medium correlation between watching movies with subtitles and students’ vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe types of polysemy and the effects of how polysemy is formed in Banyumas regional society. This search is descriptive qualitative and the data were words that often communicate by Banyumas community. Data analysis resulted that polysemy in Banyumas region in term of part of speech can be divided into there types namely (1) noun, (2) verbs, and (3) adjectives. The verb is the most dominating polysemy type. Those three types of polysemy then were grouped into two forms namely (1) basic polysemy, and (2) derivative polysemy. The derived polysemy was grouped into three; derivative polysemy with an affix, duplicate derived polysemy, and derived polysemy of the combined process. Then a derivative noun polysemic with the suffix {ne-} is found. Derivative verb polysemy is affixed with prefix {di-} and prefix {N-}, and with the confix {ke- + KD + -an}.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social values ​​contained in Andrea Hirata's Father's novel and its implementation as literary teaching material in high school. The data source is Father Hirata's novel Andrea Hirata. Data collection techniques in this study using library technique, listen, and note. The data analysis technique in this study is to use dialectical techniques. The validity of the data for this study is to use data triangulation. The results of the research show that the theme of Father's novel is the struggle of a child who wants to provide happiness to his parents, especially to a father figure; the setting of this novel is in the Bangka Belitung area, using forward paths, and perspective as an all-knowing third person. The social values ​​are kinship values, values ​​of affection, cooperation, and mutual respect or respect. Based on data found from the novel, it can therefore be related to the Indonesian Language Lesson RPP in high school that is relevant enough to be used as teaching material for senior high school/equivalent.

Abstract

Using the sociological theory of literature, the researchers agreed to study Leo Tolstoy's novel Anna Karenina, which will bring on connections in the social arts. In a descriptive qualitative, the investigator uses note sheets as analysis methods to evaluate knowledge to illustrate how the tension of social significance and religious hegemony arise. After an overview of the results, Leo Tolstoy in Anna Karenina Novel concludes his research finding on the social conflict. The social role and religious hegemony were expected. A social role is also a pit for social participants in their unconsciousness, such that conflict becomes an inseparable aspect and obstacles between groups in the social order, and religious hegemony, which in human behavior is manifested as an important role in the social realm of humans, religious instruction. Religion is a reference to the social and moral life.
