The design used in this study is a quasi experimental research design with one-group pre-post test design. Subjects were observed for pain levels before and after the intervention using numerical rating scales. The population in this study were female students of Nursing Academy Krida Husada in the first and third semester, totaling 137 people. Samples taken in this study were 15 students who experienced dysmenorrhea on the first or second day during menstruation. The results of this study stated that the average pain scale before acupressure therapy in the experimental group was 5.4, and the average pain scale after acupressure therapy in the experimental group was 3.13. Wilcoxon test showed that there was a significant difference between pain scale before and after acupressure therapy in the experimental group with a p value of 0.001 (p <0.05).

Abstract

This research entitled Lift The Flap Storybook to Grow and Raise Awarness about Sugar Intake in Early Chilhood and Their Parents. The purpose of this research is to develop a media to grow and raise understanding of the balanced proportion of sugar intake in early chilhood and their parents. The expected benefit from this research is to provide educational media that is easy to use and understand, and does not harm children, besides that it can instill awareness of healthy living from an early age and an understanding of the importance of balanced food intake by parents for family members. This research is a development research (R & D) using a qualitative approach as a data collection and analysis process. The subject of this research involved 20 parents who have early childhood as participants/media users and also three experts in the field of early childhood education, graphic design, and language as validators. The results of this research showed that: a) of the 20 participants who were involved in the study, 9 families had a pattern of excess sugar consumption, b) the results of media feasibility validation by experts show that the content, design and language in the media are in the good and very good categories, c) the results of trials related to the effectiveness of the use of media by users (parents and children) show that there is an increase in awareness as indicated by changes in sugar consumption patterns in children and parents (families) which initially tend to be more balanced. Keywords: Lift The Flap Storybook, Sugar Intake Awareness, Earlychilhood and Parents.

Abstract

The hospital is one of the health service facilities that play a very important role in providing health services to the community. To increase patient satisfaction in the hospital, it is necessary to evaluate the quality of existing health services both from a technical and administrative perspective. This study aims to describe inpatient satisfaction with the attributes of the health services quality dimension in hospitals in Indonesia. This study used secondary data with a cross-sectional design based on Risnakes data in 2017. The sample used is samples of Risnakes in hospitals in 2017 after deducting missing data, namely 7,287 inpatients from 380 hospitals in Indonesia. Data analysis used univariate analysis. Results of this study showed that the level of inpatient satisfaction to the attribute of health service quality dimensions in private hospitals was better than in government hospitals. In the tangible dimension of the various attributes studied, there are 5 attributes still below the standard of patient satisfaction (90%), while for the reliability dimension there are 2 attributes, the responsiveness dimension 5 attributes, the assurance dimension 2 attributes, and empathy dimensions 3 attributes. To improve the quality of health services, the management of all hospitals in Indonesia needs to routinely evaluate all of the attributes of health service quality dimensions in the hospital.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the diseases that attack on the cardiovascular system. Management to overcome hypertension can use pharmacological therapy and nonpharmacological therapy. Non-pharmacological therapies for hypertension include soaking warm water on the feet and classical music therapy. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of warm water soak therapy in the feet and classical music therapy on hypertension client blood pressure. The research design used in this research is using Pre Post experimental design. Sampling techniques use simple ramdom sampling. The number of respondents in this study were 20 respondents for warm water bath therapy and 20 respondents for classical music therapy. The results of this study indicate that in systolic blood pressure there is a difference in the effectiveness of warm water soak therapy in the feet and classical music therapy with p value (0.036) <α (0.05) while diastole blood pressure does not differ in the effectiveness of warm water soak therapy in foot and classical music therapy with p-value diastole (0.108)> α (0.05). Based on the mean value, it is known that warm water soak therapy on the foot has a mean systole value (150 mmhg) and mean diastole value (89.67 mmhg), while the mean value of sistole in classical music therapy (154.5 mmhg) and the mean diastole value of classical music therapy ( 92 mmhg) so that from the mean results the soak therapy in warm water on the feet is more effective in reducing blood pressure.

Abstract

Labor pain is conventionally defined similarly to acute pain and exhibits a complex constellation of multiple physiological and psychological factors. Pressure, anxiety, fear, feelings of self-efficacy, coping skills, and social support are influential factors regarding a woman’s perception of pain and labor experiences. This pain varies greatly and often described as the most extreme pain that can be experienced or as agony or like torture that women may go through. Although epidural analgesia is generally accepted to be the gold standard method in intrapartum analgesia, there are risks associated with their use. Any less invasive but effective non-pharmacological approaches that can be used as an analgesic adjunct would be of great importance to the obstetric community. In recent years, clinical hypnosis and birth ball exercise have become an area of increasing clinical interest as methods to help the mother cope with the laboring process. They are frequently applicable, low-cost, and can be used as a supplementary treatment with other medications. Given widespread claims of efficacy, we aimed to review the available evidence regarding its effectiveness as an adjunct therapy for the management of labor and delivery pain. This is important as there is increasing interest among expectant parents and some health care providers about these methods for pain relief during the childbirth process. While many of some investigations show positive effects on the outcome studied, in fact, there are conflicting findings in others showing no statistically significant of its benefits.

Abstract

Hydroquinone is a chemical compound widely used in cosmetics that acts as a removal of black spots/spots on the face. The use of hydroquinone in cosmetics, according to BPOM regulations, is only allowed with a maximum level of 2%. Excessive use of hydroquinone can cause pigment abnormalities in the face. The materials used in this study were hydroquinone BPFI, 96% ethanol, absolute ethanol, sodium sulfate, methanol (HPLC grade), aquadest, ethyl acetate, and face cream samples (X and Y). Qualitative and quantitative analysis of hydroquinone content in both face cream samples was carried out by TLC and HPLC methods. The results of the qualitative analysis by TLC on both face cream samples (X and Y creams) showed that both samples had the same Rf value 1as the standard hydroquinone Rf while the HPLC chromatogram results of both samples had the same retention time as the standard hydroquinone. Simultaneously, the results of quantitative analysis on cream X samples contained hydroquinone of 3.06% and Y cream of 4.15%. From these results, both face cream samples positive contained hydroquinone with levels> 2%.
