<![CDATA[The task of organizing education is primarily the responsibility of parents and assisted by the community as long as it is needed. The task of organizing education is also the responsibility of the Church. The Church takes part in the world of education, among others, through Catholic religious education in Catholic schools. The learning process of Catholic Religious Education is intended to improve the faith of Catholic youth. The research was conducted by using qualitative research method. Qualitative research method is a form of research designed to examine attitudes, views, feelings, and behavior of individuals or groups of people or social issues being investigated. This study aims to analyze the extent to which Catholic Religious Education affects the development of faith and behavioral change of the Catholic Junior High School students in Madiun. The results of the research indicated that 7 (58%) of respondents stated that junior high school students were students between 13-15 years old. There were 12 (100%) respondents said that Catholic Religious Education taught in the School was able to help the junior high school students to have more knowledge about Jesus and his preaching. As many as 6 (50%) of respondents stated that Catholic Religious Education is very helpful to get know more about themselves personally. There were 8 (67%) of respondents stated that the teaching of Catholic Religion made their faith progressively improved. Broadly speaking, all respondents experienced that Catholic Religious teaching has made their Catholic faith being developed so far. It made the respondents more diligent and actively involved in throughout Catholic Church activities and any social affairs.]]>

<![CDATA[Motivation is a conscious effort, which comes from within and outside of a person. Motivation is affecting a person's behavior so that he moved his heart to act to do something to achieve a certain result or goal. The call to be a catechist must be well motivated and not just looking for a position. This motivation is also needed by students of STKIP Widya Yuwana, as a potential catechist. The issues that arise are: whether the students of STKIP Widya Yuwana have pure motivation from inside themself as catechist? Are their motivations fixed or changed? Do they have the motivation to serve? How far the initial motivation to enter college to give influence for students of STKIP Widya Yuwana? How does motivation have an impact on pastoral care, which is the duty and responsibility of students of STKIP Widya Yuwana, as a potential catechist?Based on the problem, the purpose of this research is to see how far the influence of early motivation for college students of STKIP Widya Yuwana to the spirit of service in the environment.Through questionnaires to 48 respondents using quantitative research methods, it was found that most of the students admitted that there was an influence between the initial motivation to enter the lecture toward the pastoral practice in the environment, but the initial motivation of the students as candidates for catechism and/religious teachers needs to be refined so that students seriously answer the call of his life as a catechist candidate, not just to pursue offers that offer a position or salary alone. Thus, the coaching of these students needs to get the attention of many parties.]]>

<![CDATA[The family has a great responsibility and role in the child's faith education. Children's faith education can be done through a family’s together prayer habit. One of the ways commonly used as a habit for Christian families in educating and nurturing children's faith is to instill the habit of praying in the family. Does the Christian family have a good understanding habit of the praying together in the Christian Family? Does the family have an awareness of the faith education for the development of the child’s faith? Do they understand the effect of praying together in their family for the development of the child’s faith? Based on these issues the research in this paper attempts to analyze how far the influence of family prayer for the development of the child’s faith.This study uses a qualitative method. The respondents of this study are Christian families who have children in the age range 0 to 12 years, and who live in the IV region of St. Cornelius Madiun Parish. The number of respondents in this study were 8 families. Based on the results of the study, all respondents or 8 respondents (100%) realized that the together praying in the family has a great influence on the development of the child's faith. There were 7 respondents (58,33%) emphasize that habit of the praying together in the Christian family can give spiritual provisions for the children, besides 5 respondents (62.5%) who said that habit of the praying in the Christian family is a means to educate children and 4 respondent (36,36%) expressed the habit of praying together in the family can fostering attention in the family.]]>

<![CDATA[The Sacrament of Baptism and of Confirmation urge the faithful to participate in the mission of the Church. One of various realizations of the Church’s mission is running the Catholic Schools. In other words, all members of a Catholic school: teachers, employees, students, foundations or parents, are called and sent to be involved in the mission of the Church. One of the fruits of carrying out Church missionary duties in Catholic schools is baptism. In 2012-2016 the number of baptisms in the Catholic High Schools in the city of Madiun was 15 people. Starting from the above, several questions can be asked as the starting point of this research: 1) What is the Church’s mission? 2) What is the Church’s mission according to the Catholoc religious educators? 3) How do the Catholic religious educators implement the Church’s mission in the Catholic Senior High Schools in Madiun city? This study aims: describing the understanding of the Church’s mission, to analyze the understanding of Religious Educators on the Church’s mission and to analyze how the religious educators to realize the Church’s mission in the Catholic Senior High Schools in the Madiun city. To achieve these objectives, researcher used qualitative research methods with interview techniques. The respondents of this study were religious educators in four Catholic Senior High Schools in Madiun. The results of the study show that: 1) The Religious Educators know the understanding of the Church’s mission. 2) All faithful are responsible to participate in the Church’s mission. 3) The Religious Educators had to be responsible and to involve in the Church’s mission in Catholic Senior High Schools. 4) The Religious Educators had already done and implemented the Church’s mission in their schools. In fact, there were some difficulties come from extern or intern of the schools.]]>

<![CDATA[Prayer was very important in Jesus’ life and the saints’ lives. Prayer also becomes the important need in the faithfuls’ life. Prayer is a mean to fight againts the devil and the power of sin. Prayer is also an expression of faith in God. It also becomes the way of human being to always remember to God. There are some problems: what is prayer? How do the Catholic teens of St. Hilarius’ Parish, Klepu pray together? What kind of benefits of praying together for the Catholic Teens in St. Hilarius’ parish, Klepu? What kind of impedements in praying together that the Catholic Teens of St. Hilarius’ Parish experience? The aims of this research are: to clarify the definition of prayer, to explain how the Catholic Teens of Hilarius’ parish, Klepu to do their praying together, to explain the benefits of prayer together for the Catholic Teens of St. Hilarius’ parish, Klepu. Finally, to identify various factors that supporting or inhibiting the practice of prayer of the Catholic Teens of St. Hilarius’ parish, Klepu. This research used qualitative research methods. In this study there are 10 respondents consisting of 4 male respondents and 6 female respondents. They are between 13-15 years old. They are members of St. Hilarius’ parish, Klepu. The conclusions of the research are: 1) The Catholic Teens of St. Hilarius’ parish, Klepu know the understanding of prayer. 2) The Catholic Teens of St. Hilarius’ parihs, Klepu already carry out prayers in certain times either personally or communal prayer in St. Hilarius’ parish, Klepu. 3) The Catholic Teens of St. Hilarius’ parish, Klepu understand that the benefits of communal prayer are: creating a partnership or relationship with God and friends, as well as the means to develop their personality.]]>

<![CDATA[The reality of religious radicalism in Indonesia is increasingly troubling every day, especially after reform. Religious radicalism is displayed in heartbreaking (inhuman) acts of dishonesty, such as the Bali Bombing, Poso tragedy, Ambon, Sambas, Tolikara, etc. All that is evil, such as the act of killing, terrorizing, burning, destroying fellow humans is strangely framed in the name of religion. This paper wants to limit itself to discussing religious radicalism in Indonesia from a philosophical and theological point of view. The method used is the verstehen method by listening to the reality of radicalism and looking at it in the eyes of philosophy. This becomes important for the growth of a good attitude in objectively viewing religions and living them properly in the context of a multicultural and Pancasila Indonesia. Religious theology, education and lectures should be education of peace, humanist aspects of growth, human culture bloomers, and not education about mastering religious materials that are very formal. Religious education must be in harmony with the values of the nation's called Pancasila.]]>

<![CDATA[The call and mission of Catholic laymen in the Church and in the midst of society is often associated with the parable of the hired people in the Lord's vineyard (Mt 20: 1-16). Changes and various problems which have been occurring in the Church and in the community at all times urge the Catholic community to respond immediately. Catholic lay people are prohibited from becoming spectators when facing various problems and changes being occurred. The question is how and to what extent has the layman tried to live a family life and organize economic, political, legal, social, cultural activities, etc. according to God's plan and will?Answering the question, this paper intends to describe a number of main things, namely: first, lay call and mission in the community, second, Spontaneously answer of lay man to the call and mission of God; third, the perfection and novelty of life; and fourth, the call for holiness of life. This writing is inspired by the parable of the hired men in the vineyard (Mt 20: 1-8).]]>

<![CDATA[Pope Francis promulgate Iubilaeum Extraordinarium Misericordiae. In the context of that jubilee, it is needed to reflect on the Christian family. How to make God’s Mercy radiat in the midst of Christian families through their problems. Christian families need God’s Mercy because nowadays, there are so much wounds exist in the families. We hope every Christian families receives God’s Mercy to encourage their lifes. Every people are called to show God’s Mercy in their own families. The research was made with qualitative research methods by reflecting the fundamentals of church faith such as the Scriptures and Church teachings. Furthermore, from the basis of this faith, the author will try to explore and reflect on the problem of the Christian family today. Next, look for and reflect on how God's merciful face is present in the midst of Christian families, now and here. Every family member needs to experience and realize. Forgiveness rooms are wide open for each family member. Grace rooms are open to every member of the Christian family who is involved.]]>
