Abstract

Background: Forward Head Posture is posture disturbance marked by further movement of head position caused by excessive use of laptop and hand phone in non-ergonomic position. Self SNAGS is the technique of self mobilization completed with active movement that can decrease the pain on cervical vertebra. Deep Cervical Flexor Strengthening is the exercise to strengthen neck stabilizer muscle, so it can support the neck in straight position and decrease neck pain. Objective: The objective of the study was to investigate different impact of Self SNAGS and Deep Cervical Flexor Strengthening to pain in Forward Head Posture condition. Method: The study applied quasi experimental pre test and post test two group design. The samples were 12 students taken by sample random sampling. The samples were divided into two groups; group I obtained Self SNAGS intervention conducted 3 times in a week during 4 weeks, and group II got Deep Cervical Flexor Strengthening done 3 times during 4 weeks. The study used Visual Analog Scale (VAS) to measure neck pain. Result: The test result of group I with paired sample t-test obtained p=0,007 meaning that there was impact of Self SNAGS exercise to the decrease of pain on Forward Head Posture.

Abstract

Abstract

Typhoid fever is one of infectious diseases which can cause many problems in Indonesia and other developing countries. This fever occurs as a result of infections triggered by Salmonella typhi bacteria. The growth of Salmonella typhi can be inhibited using antibiotics. This study aims at investigating whether there is a difference in sensitivity test of Salmonella typhi bacteria in isolate of patients with typhoid fever and pure culture in laboratoryonsome antibiotics. Salmonella typhi bacteria were isolated typhoid fever suspects at one of hospitals in Surakarta. Pure cultures of Salmonella typhi bacteria were obtained from Microbiological Laboratory of Setia Budi University. Sensitivity test of antibiotics on Salmonella typhi bacteria used diffusion method. Data of antibiotics of inhibition zone diameter (mm) of antibiotics were analyzed statistically using Two-Way Anova test. The research results demonstrate that the sensitivity test on Salmonella typhi bacteria in isolate of patients with typhoid fever shows resistance (R) towards amoxicillin and sensitivity (S) towards trimethoprim, chloramphenicol, gentamicin, ciprofloxacin. Meanwhile, pure culture shows sensitivity (S) towards trimethoprim, chloramphenicol, gentamicin, amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin. The diameter of inhibition zone of patient isolate is smaller than that of pure culture.

Abstract

Aedes aegypti acts a vector of dengue fever disease. Chemical pesticide application caused A. aegypti resistancy. Bitter melon (Momordica charantia) extract is valuable as an alternative pesticide replacing synthetic pesticide. The aims of this research are to find out the existence of larvicidal properties of fruit extract of Momordica charantia on Aedes aegypti larvae and to define the histopathological midgut changes of Aedes aegypti larvae. This research is an experimental research laboratory using post-test only control group design. Bitter melon fruit extract was tested in a concentration of 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm, 2000 ppm, 2500 ppm, 0 ppm (negative control), and temephos 1 ppm (positive control). The results showed that the LC50 value was 1833,295 ppm and LC90 value was 2467,264 ppm. Results of ANOVA showed the effect of bitter melon fruit extract concentrations against mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae with p = 0.000 (p<0.05). Midgut histopathological observations showed damage to the membrane of peritrophic, epithelial cells, and the basement membrane of midgut at different levels of concentration of bitter melon fruit extract, whereas the positive control midgut condition was normal as in the negative control (0 ppm). It was concluded that the extract of bitter melon fruit was effective as larvicide and affect to histopathological midgut of Aedes aegypti larvae.

Abstract

Hepatitis B is a liver inflammatory disease caused by hepatitis B virus. Hepatitis B virus that enters the body will attack the liver cells and do self replication that causes inflammation in the liver. Black cumin has benefits as an immunomodulator with the main content of Thymoquinone that can boost immunity. Thymoquinone may increase macrophage activity through Toll-like receptor (TLR) to microbial phagocytosis so as not to inflammate the cells. Determination of CRP levels is the easiest marker of inflammation. The purpose of this study to evaluate the response of the extract of black cumin (Nigella sativa Linn) on levels of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) in Wistar rats induced hepatitis B vaccine. Black cumin extract as imunomodulator dose 75 mg per kilogram of body weight and 150 mg per kilogram of body weight for 7 days to respond to the levels of CRP in Wistar rats induced hepatitis B vaccine.

Abstract

Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 44 Year 2016 regarding the Guidelines for Public Health Center Management, it is explained that the Public Health Center known as Puskesmas is the First Level Health Facility (FKTP) responsible for public health in its working area in one or part of the subdistrict area. In performing its duties and functions, it must implement Public Health Center management effectively and efficiently. The cycle of quality Puskesmas management is a continuous series of routine activities, carried out in the implementation of quality health efforts, which must be monitored periodicly and regularly, supervised and controlled over time, in order to repair and improve performance. The error that can be found at Candipuro Public Health Center is that there is no system that loads related to the search of patient database so that it makes redundancy for patients who seek treatment when the old patient's word can not be found. With the advantages in the Public Health Center is a computer facility on every poly and service units, as well as adequate internet access. To support this research, data collecting method is done by observation, interview, literature study, analysis, system design, system building, testing and system implementation.

Abstract

Smoking is one of the health problems that is difficult to solve even has become a national and international problem. One of the negative effects of smoking is a decrease in HDL levels in the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of HDL levels in active adult smokers aged 31-35 years in RT.04 / RW.01 Mlajah Bangkalan Village. This research is a descriptive study, with a research design using cross sectional design. The variable of this study is the level of HDL in active smokers with a population of 15 respondents selected as samples using total sampling. The data collection method uses a photometer, the data obtained are then presented in a frequency distribution table. The results of research on HDL levels of active smokers mostly low HDL levels less than 60 mg / dl with 11 respondents (73.33%) .This happens because the nicotine contained in cigarette smoke will stimulate the hormone adrenaline which will consequently interfere with fat metabolism which causes HDL levels in the body decrease. From the results of this study it is expected that a smoker should reduce smoking habits and better carry out regular health checks

Abstract

Widal examination is an agglutination examination using suspension of Salmoella typhi and S. Paratyphi as antigens to detect the presence of antibodies against Salmoella typhi or S. Paratyphi in patient's serum. Salmonella infections in humans can vary in the form of infections that can heal itself (gastroenteritis), but can also be a serious case if there is a systemic spread (enteric fever). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of delaying the slide method widal examination in typhoid fever patients at Anna Medika Madura General Hospital. This research uses a quasi-experimental method (pre-experiment / quasi experimental design). The variable of this study is the effect of the delay of the Widal Slide Method examination. The population was 25 patients at Anna Medika Madura Public Hospital, while the sample was 25 respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The analysis technique used in this study was the Repeated Anova Measure test. The statistical test results of this study were obtained the level of confidence α = 5% (0.05) with P value> α 0.05 ie P Value = 0.354 then H0 received H1 was rejected, so it can be concluded that there was no effect of delaying the widal slide examination method in typhoid fever patients at Anna Medika Madura Public Hospital. Based on the results of the study, it is expected for further researchers to try to conduct widal examination using plasma without being separated from the tube with temperatures above 25 ° C
