Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension continues to increase, around 2.31 billion people in the world have hypertension. According to Barudin, et al (2021), hypertension significantly affects quality of life, patients suffering from hypertension who do not manage themselves properly have a poor quality of life. Patients who suffer from hypertension with comorbidities or complications tend to experience a decrease in quality of life, such as in physical, psychological, social, and environmental aspects (Alfian et al., 2017). This study aims to identify the factors that affect the quality of life of hypertensive patients in the Subangjaya Village, the Working Area of UPTD Sukabumi, Sukabumi City. Factors that can affect the quality of life include: gender, age, education level, employment status, length of suffering, and self-management. This research is a correlational study with a cross sectional approach with a total sample of 136 respondents. Total sampling way of taking research samples. Hypothesis analysis in this study used Chi-Square and logistic regression tests. The results of this study identified no relationship between age, gender, employment status, and duration of suffering from hypertension with quality of life because it had a P-value > 0.05, and there was a significant relationship between self-management and quality of life with a P value -value 0.000 and correlation value (OR) 12.632. It is hoped that the UPTD Sukabumi Health Center can improve health education regarding the importance of self-management of hypertension sufferers.

Abstract

The main problems faced by teachers facing changes in learning dynamics include schools being transferred to homes through online and blended learning processes, transformation of technology-based learning media and learning adjustments and demands for collaboration between parents and students at home as a substitute for teachers controlling student learning. This sudden change also raises various new problems such as causing work stress.  The purpose was to analyze the personality description of teacher’s hardiness towards learning dynamics during the Covid-19 pandemic at public elementary schools in city and district of Kediri. This research was conducted at SDN Setonorejo I,2, SDN Ngronggo 3 and SDN Burengan 2, Kediri City. This research used a descriptive analytical research design. The samples were all teachers at SDN Setonorejo I, SDN Sukorame 2, SDN Ngronggo 3 and SDN Burengan 2 who met the inclusion criteria with total sample of 50 respondents. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The results showed that 47 respondents (94%) had good hardiness personality. It can be concluded that while facing changes in the learning dynamics, the teacher has developed a good coping mechanism so as to foster a high and resilient hardiness personality in dealing with stressors in learning dynamics. The results of this study are expected to be able to support the nursing profession to better participate in preventing work stress and improve the Hardiness Personality of education personnel, especially Elementary School Teachers.

Quasi Experiment Design used is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The target population in this study were mothers with children of 5 – 10 years in the working area of the Seelakau Public Health Center. With an average value that has increased as much as 44.9932 in the intervention group and in the control group also increased by 8.5107. Based on the results of Wilcoxon statistical tests that show Asymp. Sig. (2-Tailed) is 0.000, meaning that there is a difference between the groups using video and those not using video. Counseling will work well when using the right methods and tools that are of interest to the respondents. The use of video in this study functions well as an extension tool for the Tepid Sponge Compress.

Data analysis using Wilcoxon study. The research is targeted to have met the Technology Readiness Level scale, which is when the intervention is started, the basic principles are observed, practical applications can be explored/developed. The application is still speculative and there is no detailed evidence or analysis to support the assumptions used and the examples are still limited to paper studies. The results showed an increase in knowledge about stunting prevention with a p value of 0.00 and an increase in attitude with a p value of 0.00 so that RS2R can be used as an activity that can be implemented in the wider community, especially adolescents.

Abstract

Complementary food for brastfeeding (CFB) can ideally be given at the age of 6 months. But in fact there are still mothers who give CFB when the baby is not yet 6 months old. This causes an increase in mortality and morbidity in infants. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics associated with complementary feeding. This research method is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 54 respondents. The results of the study reported that the higher the mother's education, the better the knowledge about giving CFB automatically (OR 7.2, p value 0.005). Mothers with primigravidas increased the risk of good knowledge in giving complementary foods (OR 4.3, nilap p 0.04). The conclusion is that the characteristics associated with increasing knowledge of complementary feeding are high maternal education and parity.
