Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students of class XI Social Sciences at SMA N 5 Padang. This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of the Liveworksheet-based LKPD in improving student learning outcomes in class XI IPS SMAN 5 Padang. This experimental study uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The population in this study amounted to 36 students of class XI IPS SMA N 5 Padang. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a total sample of 36 class XI IPS 1 SMA N 5 Padang students. The data collection technique uses pretest and posttest questions with a question indicator that presents a phenomenon so that students can identify the meaning of social integration and actual examples of social integration in the surrounding environment and the driving factors of social integration. The average pretest score was 52, and the average posttest score was 86. This study was analyzed using David Ausubel's meaningful learning theory. The data analysis techniques used were normality, homogeneity, and paired t-tests. Normality test and homogeneity test function as test requirements to find out whether the t-test data analysis can be continued or not. In contrast, the paired t-test is used to determine the difference between samples after and before using the live worksheet-based e-LKPD. To measure the effectiveness in this study using SPSS 22 with normality test results of 0.43, homogeneity test results of 0.68 proven sig value. > 0.05 means that the data is usually distributed and homogeneous so that the T-test can be carried out, and the T-test results are 0.00, which proves the sig value. <0.05 so that H0 is rejected, which means that there are differences in students' sociological learning outcomes. So it can be concluded that using Liveworksheet-based worksheets effectively improves student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the Odd Semester Final Examination Questions for Class XII Sociology Subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Padang Panjang in the 2021/2022 academic year in terms of analysis: 1) content and empirical validity, 2) reliability, 3) distinguishing characteristics, 4) difficulty level. And 5) distracting qualities. This research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach because all the data or information obtained is manifested as numbers. The research subjects were students of class XII SMA Negeri 2 Padang Panjang, with a total population of 163 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using the documentation method to obtain data on questions, answer keys, and student test results. Based on the results of data analysis, the results of a review of aspects are obtained: 1) The validity of the content of the questions has a high category material aspect, a high category construction aspect, and a high category linguistic aspect. 2) Empirical validity, there are 7 items valid questions (17.5%) and 33 items (82.5%). 3) In terms of reliability, the question has low reliability of 0.19. 4) Discriminatory power, questions with less discriminating power 23 items (57.5%), questions with sufficient discriminating power 14 items (35%), good discriminating power three items (7.5%). 5) Difficulty level, 16 items (40%) are classified as easy, 12 items (30%) are classified as moderate, and 12 items are items (30%) ) are difficult. 6) The effectiveness of distractors, 29 items (72.5%) are eligible, and 11 items (27.5%) are not eligible. Thus it can be concluded that the quality of the items tested is not good.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the index card match learning model to increase students' motivation to learn sociology in class XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Rao Utara. The results of this study will be helpful for teachers as a guide in implementing a simple and fun learning model for students. By looking at the purpose of this research, it can be seen that this type of research is classroom action research (CAR), where the data collection technique that the author does is through the observation sheet. The subjects of this study consisted of 22 students in class XI IPS 2. Then the resulting data will be analyzed with quantitative descriptive techniques so that the resulting data can be tested for validity. The indicator of the success of this research leads to the average percentage of students' motivation in classical sociology learning, which is at least 70%. The results showed an increase in students' motivation to learn sociology. The pre-cycle found students' learning motivation with an average score of 15.58%, then in the first cycle of 42.85%, and the second cycle of 72.72%. Thus, this learning model has succeeded in increasing students' motivation to learn sociology in class XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Rao Utara.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the occurrence of various problems with the character of discipline in SMA Negeri 1 Junjung Sirih, especially among students of class X Social Sciences. Problems with the character of discipline, such as students not obeying the rules that apply at school and the low attendance list of class X IPS students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This makes the researcher ask what factors cause the low discipline character of class X IPS students at SMA Negeri 1 Junjung Sirih. The study aimed to explain the factors causing the low discipline character of class X Social Studies students of SMA Negeri 1 Junjung Sirih. To analyze the problem of this research, the researcher used Structural Functional Theory from Talcott Parsons to analyze this research. The research method used is a qualitative method with the type of case study, and the informant selection technique uses purposive sampling with a total of 16 informants. In-depth interviews carry out data collection, observations, and documents—data analysis using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis technique. Based on the results of the research that the researchers got at SMA Negeri 1 Junjung Sirih, it can be concluded that the factors causing the low character of students' discipline are internal factors such as the lack of awareness of students and low self-motivation of students. In contrast, the external factors are teacher factors such as socialization. Regulations to students, habits, and character of teacher discipline in schools, and inconsistent teachers in giving punishment to students, while environmental factors are the school environment that has not been fully fenced, and road access to schools is less supportive.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the 21st century has resulted in various changes in society, one of which has occurred in the education sector. The 21st century is also called the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, where life is getting faster and more open. In order to adapt to this century, humans need life skills called 21st-century skills. To acquire 21st-century skills, learning must be adaptive to developments because information technology is fundamental and must be mastered and applied in the learning process. This study aims to determine the need for e-comic learning media in sociology subjects. This study uses quantitative research methods with research subjects of class XI IPS students with a sample of 35 people and two sociology teachers. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire. The observational data analysis technique was used in the form of quantitative data, which was obtained from a questionnaire analysis of the needs of E-comic learning media for students and teachers. The analysis of the data was carried out descriptively. Based on the questionnaire, it is known that the teacher has never used e-comic learning media. The results showed that the need for e-comic media for students was 99.36%, and for teachers, it was 100%. In conclusion, students' needs for e-comic learning media in sociology subjects must be considered and fulfilled so that the learning process can run optimally.

Abstract

The background of the research is the phenomenon of student learning behavior after online learning at SMAN 4 Pariaman. In the 2021/2022 academic year, online learning is shifted to face-to-face learning, resulting in changes in student learning behavior. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of student learning behavior after online learning. The theory used in this research is the behavioristic learning theory of B.F Skinner. This research method is qualitative with a case study type. The informant selection technique used is the purposive sampling technique. The number of informants in this study was 13 people consisting of students, sociology teachers, and parents of students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's interactive data analysis, which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results obtained are the form of student behavior after online learning, namely often arriving late to school but being willing to participate in group discussions, completing assignments on time, using textbooks as learning resources, being enthusiastic in completing daily tests, and being willing to repeat lessons at home.
