Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out how the effect of financial performance is proxied by ROA and ROE on the firm value which is proxied by Tobin's Q with CSR that is proxied by cost allocation as moderating the plantation sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2013-2016. This research will seek the causes of whether CSR data allocation is able to strengthen or weaken the influence of financial performance on firm value. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and eight companies were selected as samples of plantations with a four-year research period to obtain 32 sample units. The analytical method used is descriptive statistical testing, panel data regression analysis and moderated regression analysis (MRA) using e-views software 9.0 versions. Based on the result of the test, the financial performance variables that are proxied by ROA and ROE partially and simultaneously have a significant positive effect on firm value. While the MRA showed that CSR weakens the relationship between financial performance and company value. Based on the result that the companies and investors need to pay attention to the composition of financial performance and disclosure of corporate social responsibility, hence the investor is able to minimize the risks that will be borne when investing their capital.

Abstract

The occurrence of the gap phenomenon between Indonesia's economic growth and population has increased but the retail market has declined. Therefore, the purpose of research is to find out how much the relationship between sales promotions and customer satisfaction in Matahari stores. The research method uses a quantitative approach with accidental sampling method through the distribution of questionnaires to 100 retail customers. The result of this research is the relationship between sales promotion and increasing customer satisfaction. The management should focus on midnight sale and member membership because it has a significant impact on customer satisfaction. The voucher discount variable and buy two get one free have not significant on customer satisfaction. In the next future, the research focuses on the increase of online shore sales promotion.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to investigate the factors associated with the sustainable entrepreneurial intention on undergraduate students. In line with the sustainable development program, it observes the intention which is perceived by female students. Based on previous of studies, four variables are determined, consisting of role models, entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial support, and green value. The female students of an economics faculty from one of the entrepreneurial universities in Jakarta were selected as the sample for the study. By using multiple regression, determinants of student intention was computed. Results are shown as follows: the perceived green value is able to predict the intention. Inversely, perceived role models, entrepreneurship education, and entrepreneurial support are insignificant. Understanding their perceptions within the concept of sustainable entrepreneurship is an important stage when designing the mechanism of triple bottom line implementation in the high education level, specifically in developing the entrepreneurial education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of implementing ISO 14001, Financial Performance is proxied by ROA and ROE on Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosures in non-financial companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2016. The study used secondary data from the annual financial report and sustainability report on the Basic Industry and Chemical Industry sub-sector manufacturing industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014 - 2016. The sample technique used purposive sampling method, while for the study 20 samples of manufacturing companies and research methods used analysis multiple regression. The results showed that the impact of implementing ISO 14001 had a positive effect on disclosure of corporate social responsibility, financial performance variables through return on assets had a negative and significant effect on disclosure of corporate social responsibility and financial performance through return on equity had a positive effect on disclosure of corporate social responsibility.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to examine influence of the relationship between Financial Behavior on Investment decision that moderated Retirement variable of employees who live in DKI Jakarta area in 2018 This study approach is survey research by distributing questionnaires online and manually. Data analysis was carried out using path analysis, namely by testing the outer and inner models. Results indicate that Financial behavior affects Retirement planning and investment decisions. Second, Retirement preparation does not affect investment decisions. Third,  Retirement planning is not a moderation variable of the relationship between financial behavior and investment decisions,  both for male, female, and overall gender. Gender factor does not has different effect relationship between Financial Behavior on Investment decision and retirement preparation.

Abstract

Malaysia and Indonesia are two of the ten countries with the largest total assets of Islamic financial markets in the world. The religiosity of a company can influences one of the qualities of accounting. The accounting quality of a company can be measured from accounting conservatism. This study aims to determine the comparison of conservatism between Islamic banks and conventional banks. The samples are Islamic banks and conventional banks in Indonesia and Malaysia from 2013 to 2017. The samples are 13 Islamic banks and 45 conventional banks so that the total sample is 290 observations. Data analysis using pooled least square regression. The result showed that conventional banks in Indonesia tend to be more conservative compared to sharia banks and sharia banks in Malaysia tend to be more conservative compared to conventional banks. Furthermore, changes in non-performing loans and changes in loan charge-offs have positive effect on conservatism.

Abstract

The development of ecotourism can not be separated from the empowerment of local communities and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The purpose of this research is to develop ecotourism development and planning model, especially the relationship between ecotourism and sustainable community development through green entrepreneurship development strategy by highlighting local uniqueness as the main weapon to enhance the attractiveness of ecotourism destination in NTB Province. Results of primary and secondary data collection have obtained SWOT picture which is useful to make the draft of village tourism policy in lombok NTB. Green Village based tourism entreprenuership and local wisdom to enhance tourist attraction to Lombok NTB: Output, governance system of green entrepreneur development and Tourism Village in NTB province, consisting of (a) Policy of developing green entrepreneur and tourism village for ecotourism destination development (b) Action Plan green entrepreneur and green product (c) Planning Indicators and (d) Monitoring and evaluation system.

Abstract

The market reaction on changes in corporate's name on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study tried to investigate empirically market reaction over the announcement of corporate name changes of companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The market reaction is measured by using abnormal return with a single index model approach. The database of corporate name change announcements on the Indonesia Stock Exchange has obtained from an annual fact book report. The sample of this study consists of the companies that make a name change from 2005 to 2017. Hypothesis test uses one sample t-test. This research's result proves that there was a positive and significant market reaction to the corporate name change announcement. Moreover, This research’s result shows that there was a positive and significant reaction on the corporate name change announcement which is included on major change while at the corporate name change announcement which included on minor change there was no significant market reaction.

Abstract

The main problem of SME Catering family business in Makassar City is low competitiveness which has an impact on financial performance. This study investigates the causes of low competitiveness through the role of the manager's innovative behavior and emotional intelligence. Sampling uses purposive sampling by setting the owner and manager as respondents. Data was transformed from the score to scale data through SolAnd 1.9 software application and data analysis using WarpPLS 3.0. This study found that Catering's financial performance is good because ownership is increasing. The more catering ownerships are the better innovation of managers and better financial performance. Although innovative managers are good, the emotional intelligence of managers is still low, financial performance is also low. The catering business is vulnerable to the risk of raw materials. Therefore, managers who are able to innovate and have personal qualities to work are needed indeed the competitiveness of this business increases.

Abstract

The concept of Green Brand Equity (GBE) is a benchmark in determining the degree of value accumulated by green brands based on the function of green products. Many people use mineral water that is taken directly from the packaging and realize to use environmentally friendly mineral water packaging. The packaging must be easily recycled. Results shows Utilitarian Benefit (UB) has a positive effect on Green Brand Equity (GBE) mediated by Green Brand Image (GBI) based on Gender, which men and women have almost concerning for environment friendly packaging. The reason is the environment damage such as environmental pollution includes water pollution, air pollution, environmental damage eg.forest damage, erosion that causes flooding, damage to coral reefs to global warming. The effectiveness of Green Brand Equity (GBE) enhance Green Brand Image (GBI) and brand loyalty including insight environmentally friendly packaging is important to keep the safe environment
