Abstract

This research discusses the study of gender bias in Webtoon The Secret of Angel by Yaongyi. The data in this study are excerpts of dialogue that lead to gender bias, especially those in contact with male characters contained in the stories expressed by the author in Webtoon digital comics. The data source for this research is Webtoon The Secret of Angel by Yaongyi which was published in 2018 which consists of 223 episodes. The instruments in this study were the researchers themselves and documents in the form of conversations that described the categories of gender bias experienced by male characters. The results of this research show that gender bias or gender injustice is not only experienced by woman but also by man, it is concluded that the male character in Webtoon The Secret of Angel by Yaongyi named Seungho experiences gender bias or gender injustice from the family and community where he lives.

Abstract

In the way of communicating, community contributors use a unique language in a jargon shape that is usually only understood through contributors of the community. Jargon is a variant of language that appears as the quit result of the intersection of social phenomena, social interactions, and approaches of speaking inside a community. The reason of this research is to describe the formation techniques and meanings of a number jargons in a community of splendor salon employees in Kecamatan Kronjo, Balaraja, Banten and their implications for mastering Indonesian in excessive school. Qualitative approach and descriptive technique are used in this research. Observations and documentation have been carried out in this study. Proficiency concerned commentary technique, free conversational engagement technique, recording technique, and notice taking approach have been also used to acquire data. Of the 50 statistics collected, the jargon used to be correctly recognized and classified. There are variations of the adjective jargon used in the Beauty Salon Worker Community in Kecamatan Kronjo, Balaraja, Banten, specifically 17 data, 12 records for nouns, and 11 statistics for verbs, pronouns as many as 6 data, adverbs are four data, and numerals are only 1 data. In addition, the jargon in the structure of a whole of 6 data. The consequences of this study on versions of jargon can be implicated for mastering Indonesian in excessive school, namely in primary competence 3.5, particularly writing anecdotal texts associated to the content and elements of implied meaning in anecdotal textual content material in classification X semester 1.

Abstract

This research uses quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this study used The Randomized Posttest Only Control Group. The population of this study amounted to 238 students with sampling using purposive sampling. The research instrument is a test. The test used is a performance test that is useful for measuring anecdotal text writing skills. Data analysis can be concluded that the results of the t-test (t-test) in the experimental class prove tcount = 7.5188 with ttable = 2.064, because tcount is greater than ttable (7.5188 > 2.064), then Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted. Furthermore, the results of the t-test (t-test) in the control class prove that tcount = 2.9176 with ttable = 2.064, because tcount is greater than ttable (2.9176 > 2.064), then Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted. The results of the t-test (t-test) are the results of the comparison of tcount = 3.2435 with ttable = 2.021, because tcount is greater than ttable (3.2435 > 2.021), then Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted. The conclusion of the study, anecdotal text writing skills have a stronger effect using caricature media than without using caricature media.

Abstract

In general, the purpose of this study is to describe the effect of the Zoom application on the learning outcomes of class XII students of SMK Bina Nusa Bekasi. The subjects of this study were 20 students of class XII. In this study, the method used is a descriptive survey in which a research method that takes a sample from a population and uses a questionnaire as a data collection tool. In this study, data and information were collected from respondents using a questionnaire. In this study, the technique of collecting data used a Questionnaire (Questionnaire) technique with a Likert scale. Data analysis in this study began by making a questionnaire related to the benefits of the Zoom Meeting application. Then, the questionnaire was distributed to the respondents which was made in the form of a link. Next, the researcher collects the answers from the questionnaires that have been filled out by the respondents. Based on the results of research and discussion on data analysis, it can be concluded that learning through zoom application has a positive influence on the learning outcomes of class XII students of SMK Bina Nusa. This can be shown by the results of hypothesis testing which shows that a significance value of 0.067 > 0.05 is obtained, so it can be concluded that the zoom application variable (X) has an effect on the learning outcome variable (Y). Based on the t value, it is known that the calculated t value is 5.910 > t table 2.101 so it can be concluded that the zoom application variable (X) has an effect on the learning outcome variable (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to be able to see and find out how to improve students' writing skills after using the mind mapping method and besides that to find out students' abilities in writing narrative essays using the mind mapping method in fourth grade students at SDN 39 Pontianak city . This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) using a psychological approach. In this study two cycles were carried out, each cycle was carried out 3 times face to face, by going through the stages of Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students at SDN 39 Pontianak City, totaling 27 students consisting of 10 male students and 17 female students. The data sources used in this study were obtained directly from students and teachers at the school where the research took place. In this research data collection was carried out using tests, and documentation and observation. Data analysis used is qualitative data analysis. The final results of this study prove that the lesson of writing narrative essays has increased, this can be seen from the results of the average score from cycle I to cycle II in cycle II, the level of students' writing skills has increased to 100% pass and there is no score below the KKM. Besides that, using mind maps can increase student self-confidence and students' creative sense in class.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that learning is still teacher-centered. The rapid development of information technology in recent years has changed the paradigm of society in seeking and obtaining information. This technological advancement has also influenced instructional media. Teachers typically use print learning media. This study aims to produce an effective learning media called "picture pockets" to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics. The study can be classified as quantitative research with a quantitative approach, employing a quasi-experimental method. The study was conducted with second-grade students at SD N 14 Ranah Pesisir. The research instrument was developed to assess the effectiveness of the "picture pockets" learning media. The results of this study, at the effectiveness stage, were analyzed using statistical analysis, specifically the Paired Sample Test equation, yielding a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < alpha value of 0.05. This means that the Sig.2-tailed value (0.000) is smaller than the alpha value (0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Hi) is accepted, indicating a significant difference in students' mathematics learning outcomes before and after using the "picture pockets" learning media.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors causing students learning difficulties of social science subjects at SMP Darul Kirom Bekasi. The research method used is a quantitative with technique of data collection used is questionnaire. The sample in this research is 57 students from all VII grade at SMP Darul Kirom with the sampling technique using simple random sampling. The results showed that were 8 factors that formed from the learning difficulties for class VII students at SMP Darul Kirom.. The factors that have been formed consist of: motivational factor with the highest eigenvalue of 4,879, school factor with eigenvalue of 2,496, attitude factor with eigenvalue of 2,325, psychological factor with eigenvalue of 1,871, interest factor with eigenvalue of 1,619, parental support factor with eigenvalue of 1,221, health factor with eigenvalue of 1,118, and social environmental factor with eigenvalue of 1,074.

Abstract

Curriculum 2013 is a curriculum that emphasizes the modern pendagogik dimension of learning is to use a scientific approach. The learning process is based on the curriculum in 2013 in five core activities consist of the following principal activities of the learning experience to observe, ask, gather information, associates, and communicate. Curriculum 2013 aims to strike a balance between knowledge, attitudes, and skills for learners. The purpose of this study is to determine how students' perceptions of Class VIII of the implementation of the learning process based on the IPA curriculum in 2013 SMPN 2 Lengayang. This research is descriptive data obtained through questionnaires (questionnaires) were given to students of VIII SMPN 2 Lengayang. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling technique. where each class is taken 30% of the total number of students. The data obtained were processed using techniques percentage (%). Based on the analysis of data obtained from the research is that students' perceptions of class VIII on the implementation of the learning process based on the biology curriculum in 2013 SMPN 2 Lengayang as a whole is simply the percentage that is equal to 77,09%. Of the five activities in the learning process based on the curriculum of 2013, there are two categories: good and sufficient. Where that has both categories, namely the activities of observed and which have enough category on the activity ask, associate, collecting and communicating information.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of the story of the tomb of Sheikh Ibrahim Mufti which has strangeness and supernatural powers in the future which are always associated with his sacredness. This is what encourages people and pilgrims to visit the sacred Tomb of Sheikh Ibrahim Mufti. This study aims to reveal how the story of Syekh Ibrahim Mufti's grave in Surau Tuo Nagari Taram is. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The research location for the story of Sheikh Ibrahim Mufti's tomb is in the Tuo Nagari Taram surau, to be precise, in Jorong Parak Baru. Researchers as the main instrument require recording equipment in the form of camcorders, recording sheets, and interview guidelines. Data collection was carried out in two stages, first the data was collected through recording, where the informant's speech was recorded using audiovisual. The results of the recording are transcribed into written form. Furthermore, the results of the transcription are transliterated from the regional language into Indonesian. The second stage, data about the story of Sheikh Ibrahim Mufti's grave was collected through three techniques, namely direct observation, interviews and documentation of the story of Sheikh Ibrahim Mufti's grave in Tuo Nagari Taram surau.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the effect of the problem-based learning learning model on the learning outcomes of fifth grade mathematics at SDN Rawa Gempol. This study used a Quasi-Experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The population subjects in this study were all fifth grade students at SDN Rawa Gempol, totaling 51 students, by taking two classes as a sample, namely the VA class, which consisted of 25 students as the experimental class and the VB class, which consisted of 26 students as the control class. The data collection technique uses a test item instrument consisting of 10 valid and reliable questions. To test the pretest hypothesis in this study used the t test, from the results of the t test obtained tcount = 1.48 and ttable = 2.00, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in effect between the average pretest value of the experimental class and the control class. Whereas for testing the posttest hypothesis from the t test obtained tcount = 2.51 and ttable = 2.00, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in effect between the average posttest scores of the experimental class and the control class. This can be interpreted that the learning outcomes of fifth grade students using problem based learning learning models are higher than using conventional learning models.
