Abstract

Listening skill is the first skill that should be mastered by young learners when they learn language besides speaking, reading and writing skill. English in In Indonesia is still considered as difficult subject at school. Especially in listening, most of student especially young learners get difficulties to comprehend what is spoken in English. It is natural thing when they do not comprehend because English is a foreign language. English course, whether as a local conten, a compulsary or an extra-curicullar subject at elementary School, is given to equip students with English so they an enhance communicative competence in language accompaniying action on a simple basis in the context of school and give awareness the importance of English language to improve competitiveness in a global society. Most of elementary school dont have any tape recorder yet, which contain English speaking by native language or the expert of English language. Thus, EYL teachers have important role as the sources of teaching and learning. This is because the students are able to listen the teacher`s talk directly. In addition, teacher should be more creative teaching listening to young learners, in other the students are not boring.

Abstract

In the learning process, teachers will face a variety of differences that children have, for example children who are slow to follow learning. A slow learner is not a stupid child. Children of slow learners are only delays in following the teaching and learning process compared to other children. This is caused by wrong perceptions of children, emotional disturbances, and errors in education.

Abstract

The recent phenomenon of moral decline has become a concern for some of our people. This is marked by the many immoral behaviors that are widely reported by national television. Education is one of the tools in instilling morals in children. Both education in the family environment and formal education at school. Citizenship Education (PKn) is one of the subjects that aims to encourage morale in students. Naum in practice often learning PKn only teaches knowledge only without any more emphasis on aspects of attitude and skills. Knowledge is important because knowledge will be the basis for action. But that is not enough to instill moral in students. Strengthening is needed especially in the aspect of attitude and of course it must be practiced in everyday life so that because morals are not enough just for material knowledge but also a habit of behaving in life.

Abstract

The author carried out this research was motivated by the low activity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning material socio-cultural diversity based on natural appearance. To increase student activity and learning outcomes, teachers need to design a strategy, and effective learning media to improve the learning process. One effort that can be done is to use peer lessons strategies with the snake and ladder game media. This study uses classroom action research method using Hopkins research design, which consists of plan, act, observe, and reflect. The instrument of this study consisted of student learning activeness sheets and evaluation questions. From the results of data analysis obtained, the authors conclude that the use of peer lessons strategies with snake game media can increase student activity and learning outcomes. This can be seen from the percentage of student learning activity in the first cycle 65,70% and in the second cycle increased to 85,20%. While increasing student learning outcomes can be seen from completeness in each cycle. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle reached a percentage of 66,67% or 14 students and in the second cycle reached a percentage of 90,48% or 19 students. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the peer lessons strategy with the snakes and ladders game media succeeded in increasing the activeness and learning outcomes of social studies for fourth grade students of SDN Cikole, Cimalaka District, Sumedang District, 2017/2018 Academic Year.

Abstract

Purwakarta Regency Government is one of the areas in West Java that continues to focus on restoring local wisdom that lives in its communities. One of them is by promoting the Poe Atikan Istimewa 7 Program Purwakarta Istimewa. The strengthening of his study in the implementation of character education in Purwakarta Regency includes a series of coaching and nurturing activities for students inside and outside the school at the basic education level to develop their own potential, mental, spiritual, noble character, and skills needed for themselves, society, nation and country . Data was obtained from literature studies, documentation, and using a descriptive analysis research approach.

Abstract

The effect of lack using game method in English subject is students in MI Condong Jamanis have low score in English vocabulary mastery. The problems that arise whether the game method has positive influence on increasing student`s English vocabulary mastery in Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah Condong or not. The assumption of this study is the game method has positive impact on student`s on increasing student`s English vocabulary mastery in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Condong Jamanis. This aim of the study is to determine the effect of using the game method on increasing English vocabulary mastery in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah Condong. This research is useful for English language teachers, students and also the development of teaching materials in English subjects related to learning methods, especially game methods and efforts to improve student`s English vocabulary mastery.The method of the study is descriptive method with quantitative approach to reveal the current situation / condition by considering the past situation through the processing of numbers obtained from research Based on the results of data processing, it is found that the use of the game method in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Condong is sufficient (x ̅ = 41, is on the scale of interpretation 40 - 44 with moderate classification). Whereas Student`s English vocabulary mastery in MI Condong has low score (x ̅ = 40, is on the scale of interpretation 38 - 41 with less classification). And the effect of using game method on increasing student`s English vocabulary mastery in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Condong has a significant positive influence categories, it is proven that rs = 0.46 is in the interval 0.41 - 0.71 and t_count (2.76) and table (2,048). The effect of using game method influences on the increasing of English vocabulary mastery about 21%, while the left about 79% is determined by other factors, namely the use of other learning methods, habituation, the teacher always explores the game method, the students' understanding of the vocabulary given.

Abstract

Anti-social behavior does not only appear among adolescents and adults, but also appears among elementary school students. Behaviors such as bullying, aggression and violence are anti-social behaviors. Anti-social behavior in childhood and adolescence is categorized into behavioral disorders, explosive impulses, stealing, damage, physical and psychological aggression, bullying, running away from home and skipping. Education is required to be able to form humans who can get along with other humans. Humans with education are prepared to be able to adjust to any situation they face and education in elementary school is an important phase of children's development which will affect the entire development of the child including its social development. The phenomena that occur today need to be addressed immediately, so as not to have a negative impact on the development of the next child.

Abstract

Applying Cooperative Learning Model Type STAD (Student Team Achievement Divisions) to improve the students learning outcomes in science learning IPA The lack of teachers in the enforcement of the model learning results in low learning outcomes of students,especially in their subjects IPA.Teachers more often use a learning model that conventional and lectures so that less motivated learners the problems that arise is by applying cooperative learning model type STAD can improve the students learning outcomes in science learning in class III MIS Hegarmanah This study aims to improve results learn learners on the study IPA by using a model of learning cooperative type STAD (student team achievement divisions). Methods used in the study this action is the research the class is a observation that implement action in the classroom with using the rules in accordance with the metodologi research conducted in some period or cycle. Based on the results of data processing obtained that the learning outcomes of students on the subjects of IPA has increased significantly after applying cooperative learning model type STAD (student team achievement divisions). It is shown any increase in the value of the average grade in cycle I which 62,69 and has increased significantly in cycle II to 81,78 .thuts it can be said that learning outcomes in cycle II already meet the target. It ca be concluded by using ccoperative learning model type STAD (student team achievement diivisions) can improve the students learning outcomes in the subjects science grade III MIS Hegarmanah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the change in behavior of students entering puberty. This study was conducted to determine (1) the behavior of puberty, (2) learning achievement, (3) the relationship of puberty behavior to learning achievement in class VI SDS Tunas Harapan Tangerang Regency. This study uses a type of quantitative research with survey methods, while the techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The total population is 92 students in class VI in one private elementary school in Tangerang Regency with sampling techniques using purposive sampling for research as many as 30 students consisting of 10 students in class VI A, 10 students in class VI B, and 10 students in class VI C on the school. The research instrument used was questionnaires that had previously been tested for validity. Hypothesis testing is done using the Product Moment correlation formula, which begins with a normality test of the data obtained. Based on the results of the study, there is a significant positive relationship between the behavior of puberty (X) on learning achievement (Y). This is evidenced by the implementation of the Product Moment correlation test which yielded 0.479 in the interval 0.40 - 0.59 which means that it has a sufficient / moderate correlation. And for the hypothesis obtained data for the value of t count = 2.886 while t table 0.05 = 2.048. This shows that the value of t count> t table means the research hypothesis (H1) is accepted. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an influence between the behavior of puberty on the learning achievement of SDS students in Tangerang Regency.

Abstract

Considering the importance of local culture role in shaping citizens’ personality and character, this research aims to analyze the values of panembromo. This research uses qualitative approach, data collection techniques using observation, interviews, study documents, and field notes. Data analysis techniques use hermeneutic analysis. The results showed that the dominant value contained in panembromo is exemplary. Exemplary value is seen on the activity of panembromo actors. The exemplary value has the potential to be implemented in school education.
