Abstract

Creative Hub is a place for creative industry activists to develop their business, business and skills. The exterior and interior design of the Creative Hub building also plays an important role in this regard. Especially the interior design which directly influences the activities of Creative Hub building users. This study uses a descriptive method by comparing two case studies, namely Bandung Creative Hub and Jakarta Creative Hub by using the theory of Francis D.K Ching about the 3 elements that form inner space, namely boundaries, shade and base as a reference. From the research results, it can be concluded that the limit means that the Creative Hub wall uses plain paint finishing or provides a touch such as a mural or material to make it seem crowded. For a shade that is interpreted as a ceiling, Creative Hub can still expose the utilities used with a dark paint finish or follow the dominant paint in the room and can use the ceiling as a ceiling cover. The pedestal, which is defined as the Creative Hub floor, can level all rooms or differentiate between them. There are differences and similarities between the two case studies such as the ceiling by exposing the utility used. The walls of the Bandung Creative Hub seem to be busier than the Jakarta Creative Hub and have more diverse floors. But all of them aim to increase the creativity of the users

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic has been more than one year. Closed and less ventilation building has higher risk for COVID-19 transmission. The risk will be higher if the building has air conditioner. The problem is how if the building is a permanent building and it is difficult to be changed. This paper aims to describe the ideal building to reduce the COVID-19 transmission. Method is literature review. Databases were Science Direct and Google Scholar. Keywords were building, COVID-19, ideal, transmission. Results shows that filtration, adequate ventilation, air disinfection, and avoiding recirculation are important ways to prevent the transmission. This can be done also by preventing overcrowding. This is suitable to be implemented in public places that are usually visited by many people. Conclusion: ideal building for preventing COVID-19 transmission is having proper ventilation and avoiding recirculation. This condition is important for public places such as hospitals and schools to prevent the COVID-19 transmission risks.

Abstract

Kalanganyar Village is a coastal village located on the coast of Sidoarjo Regency. Like other coastal villages, Kalanganyar Village carries a special coastal character both in the livelihood sector, land use sector, potential natural disaster sector, and socio-economic sector. Several studies show that the socioeconomic conditions of coastal communities live below the poverty line, while the lives of coastal communities depend a lot on land use in coastal areas (ponds and sea). Clasification and phenomena of coastal areas are strongly defined by the spatial character of the coast which is located on the boundary of land and sea. Therefore, this study intends to look at the economic condition of the coastal community of Kalanganyar Village by analyzing the spatial conditions of the area. Researchers will observe how the development of the economic area of Kalanganyar Village from time to time spatially. The spatial data obtained will be analyzed by taking into account the existing condition of infrastructure, potential disasters, and the existing condition of livelihood diversification of the residents of Kalanganyar Village. From the results of the analysis, it was found that infrastructure development also contributed to the development of the economic area of Kalanganyar Village. The results of historical observations of the development of the region show stagnant development due to the cessation of infrastructure development in the Kalanganyar Village area, so that the people of Kalanganyar Village cannot create diversification of employment opportunities in their region.

Abstract

The population density in Jakarta can be seen from the number of people who are increasing every year and increasing the population density living in Jakarta. High urbanization affects the process of urban development, population development and the need for housing that requires a lot of land in the Jakarta area. The government and the private sector in dealing with these problems provide a decent place to live for the community by building vertical housing. Vertical development in the form of flats for residents is considered capable of increasing efficiency, effectiveness of space utilization and saving land so that land can be used for open space or other public spaces. In this study, the author tries to answer the problems regarding the identification of residential space patterns and the typology of flats in the three case studies. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method in which the author will describe and identify every aspect contained in this study based on the theoretical basis that was appointed as a guide. In this study, it was found that user activity in the flats resulted in groupings called zoning which included private, semi-private / semi-public, public, service areas, and circulation areas. Because the flat is a shared house in one building mass, the public zoning area tends to be larger and the residents gather in public areas that have been facilitated.

In an anxiety disorder treatment, psychologist are familiar with series of training to help patient achieve mindfulness, and as a result, help patient to deal with the anxiety disorder. The research purposes are to formulate basic house design principles to helps the dwellers achieve mindfulness, as an architectural design response to deal with COVID-19 pandemic, and minimize COVID-19’s negative impact through preventive and restorative measure. This research are being conducted through literature review method, through a wide-ranging literature from a book and research report that already been published in a scientific journal. The principles are then being examined through a elimination process to formulate an operational design principle in architecture. The result from the elaboration conclude that house design must apply a certain design element to create positive stimulus and engage the senses of the dwellers, the spatial arrangement should be functionally flexible, and the spatial arrangement of the house are also need to be sequentially arranged to make the dweller experience various spatial experience provided by the house design.

Abstract

The realization of academic achievement in higher education is very dependent on the motivation to learn on the students themselves. However, there are many factors that can affect the presence of learning motivation, both external and internal factors. Several external factors exist, including the quality of infrastructure that supports the teaching and learning process of students. Several infrastructure facilities (sarpras) in the Architecture Study Program building, East Java "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJT) have been used for decades, since the establishment of the Architecture Study Program. It is feared that the old Sarpras can affect students' learning motivation, especially if the existing Sarpras are not relevant to current learning needs. However, there have been several new sarpras that have been presented in the Architecture Study Program to support the student learning process. Therefore, this study aims to determine how much influence the available facilities and infrastructure have on learning motivation and academic achievement of UPNVJT Architecture Study Program students. This research was carried out by examining several available infrastructures in the Architecture Study Program of UPNVJT. Student learning motivation variable data obtained through a questionnaire that will be associated with the conditions of the available facilities. The results of the study found that the means had an indirect relationship and was not the main factor that determined students' learning motivation.
