The Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang published Manajemen Bisnis (MB) journal in 2011. Start in December 2018, the MB journal has online ISSN 2655-2523 for articles that publish started from Volume 9 No. 1, April 2019. Then, start from Volume 9 No. 2. MB journal has been accredited for SINTA 4. MB journal is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published twice a year (April and October). This journal published articles in Bahasa but in 2019 MB journal published all articles in English. This journal only accepts articles from original research results. MB journal welcomes all articles related to management and business fields. Subjects suitable for publication include financial management, marketing management, human resource management, operation management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, business ethics, and international business. Manajemen Bisnis journal has been indexed in Google Scholar and DOAJ. MB journal keeps an attempt to be indexed in other journal directories.

Abstract

The development of the capital market in Indonesia is very significant, with the implementation of the Yuk Savings Stock campaign to increase the number of domestic investors in Indonesia. The Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) noted that as of August 9, 2019, the number of capital market investors reached 2,070,394 people, an increase of 27.8 percent from the position in December 2018. This study aimed to find out and analyze Investment Knowledge on Attitudes, Investment Motivation on Attitudes, Perceptions of Risks towards Attitudes, Attitudes Influence Interests, Subjective Norms Affect Investment Interests, and Investment Interests Affect Investors Behavior in Sharia Capital MarketsThe population in this study are Islamic Capital Market investors in the DIY & Central Java region. Samples taken in this study are some Shariah Investors in DIY & Central Java, which total 213 respondents. Sampling using non-probability techniques with convenience sampling method and research models will be analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM), using the help of AMOS software.The results of this study indicate that investment knowledge has a significant negative effect on attitude, investment motivation has a significant positive effect on attitude, perception of risk has a significant negative effect on attitude, attitude has a significant positive effect on interest, subjective norms has a significant positive effect on interest and interest has a significant positive effect on investor behavior.Keywords: Investment Knowledge, Investment Motivation, Risk Perception, Attitude, Subjective Norms, Investment Interest, Investor Behavior

Abstract

This research focuses on influence of the experience of independent directors (two tier systems) on mergers acquisitions performance and considers several other factors as moderation. Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the experience of independent directors to be moderated by board characteristics, bidder characteristics, and types of merger acquisitions on merger and acquisition performance and to be controlled by independent director’s age. Research obtained from the company's financial and annual report data in 2009 - 2019. The dependent variable used in this study was merger and acquisition performance. Independent variable used in this study is independent director experience. Moderating variables in this are board characteristics, bidder characteristics, mergers and acquisitions types. The results of this study proves that the experience of director experience positively influences performance of merger and acquisition, board and bidder characteristics, type of merger and acquisition strengthen the positive influence of the experience of independent directors on merger and acquisition performance.

Abstract

This study is analyzing dominant aspects that affect the quality of software-based project development from the point of view of project management. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the business process and Go Project Lean (GPL) application on the quality of information technology project management. The research using a quantitative approach by conducting a survey as the research technique. Questionnaires were using the Likert Scale and developed based on the indicators of variables. The population of this study is the users of the GPL application which are the Sales Division, Project Management Office Division, and Application Development Division of PT. Infomedia Nusantara. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression method and the hypothesis tested using the T-test. The results showed that the influence of business process and GPL Application is very strong and significant to the quality of IT project management. The implication of these findings caused by one of the dimensions which are no investment feasibility analysis calculation application that affects on-time delivery.

Abstract

E-money is a non-cash electronic payment instrument that is currently growing rapidly in Indonesia. Based on Bank Indonesia data, there are already 39 banking and non-bank companies that have obtained permits to issue e-money products. This study aims to determine and analyze perceptions of the benefits of attitudes, perceptions of ease of attitudes, levels of trust in interests, attitudes affect interests, and interests influence behavior using E-Money.The population in this study were all e-money users in the Java Island region. Samples taken in this study are some e-money users in the Java Island region, amounting to 200 respondents. Sampling using non-probability techniques with convenience sampling method and research models were analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM), using the help of AMOS software.The results of this study indicate that the perception of benefits has a significant positive effect on attitude, the perception of ease has a significant positive effect on attitude, the level of trust has a significant positive effect on interest, attitude has a significant positive effect on interest and interest has a significant positive effect on behavior using e-money.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the impact of managerial overconfidence on corporate investment (investment scale, overinvestment and underinvestment) using companies listed in Indonesia’s Stock Exchange in 2012-2018 as a sample. The analysis method used Ordinary Least Square and robustness test used Maximum Likelihood  Estimation. The result shows that managerial overconfidence has a significantly positive impact on the corporate investment scale. It means that managerial overconfidence makes overinvestment problem more severe (more inefficient) and underinvestment problem less severe (more efficient).

Abstract

This study aims to test the pecking order theory by looking at the level of cash flow sensitivity as a source of internal financing for all types of external financing (debt and equity). This testing also considering the financial constraint variable as moderation. The data used are the financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014 - 2018. The dependent variable is all types of external financing (debt and equity). Debt financing is divided into two forms, short-term debt financing and long-term debt financing. While the independent variable is cash flow. The results obtained is that cash flow does not substitute all types of external financing, and the highest cash flow sensitivity occurs in short-term debt financing. The next result is that financial constraint strengthen the sensitivity of cash flow to debt and equity financing

Abstract

The food and beverages industry have been growing rapidly, making the competition in this industry higher. Therefore, innovation is needed to survive. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of food quality and service quality on the customer satisfaction of hot plate restaurants’ consumers, which in turn will have an impact on repurchase intention. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach, using a Likert Scale as a measurement method. Data analysis uses the structural equation modeling (SEM) method with SmartPLS 3.0 tools. The population of this study is XYZ hot plate restaurants’ consumers in Sunter and Bekasi. Total sample that used in this research is 100 samples by using the Slovin formula. The results of this study show significant and positive effects, both individually and simultaneously, between food quality and service quality to customer satisfaction and its impact on repurchase intention. Therefore, in order to compete with others, XYZ hot plate restaurants should (1) Improve and maintain their foods and drinks, (2) Maintain their employees’ credibility, and (3) Reduce the waiting list.

Abstract

Loyalty is needed by the company because it will maintain business continuity. This study aims to determine the effect of service quality on the satisfaction and loyalty of visitors to the Sengkaling Recreational Park both directly and indirectly. The type of research used is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. Sample technique in this research using purposive sampling. The sample used is 112 visitors who have visited at least twice and over 18 years old. The data analysis technique used is descriptive research and using path analysis. The results of this study indicate that service quality has a significant effect on visitor satisfaction and loyalty at Sengkaling recreational park.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the direct influence of leadership on learning organization, the influence of learning organization on employee performance, the influence of leadership on innovation, and the influence of innovation on employee performance. The population in this study was all employees of handicraft Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in Malang City. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with a sample size of 50 respondents. The analysis used is path analysis using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that leadership has an influence on the application of learning organization, learning organization has an effect on employee performance, leadership encourages employees to innovate, and the innovations can improve employee performance. The role of a leader to encourage employees to continue learning and innovating in SMEs will create a good impact on the performance of employees and SMEs.

Abstract

The goals of this study are want to explore the effect of the e-servicescape on private university’s website towards student’s intention to use the service. This study also wants to know about how does the effect of the e-servicescape towards perceived private university’s service quality, and how does the perceived private university’s service quality effect towards student’s intention to use that service. This study is explanatory research which is using a quantitative approach. A survey using a questionnaire was conducted to collect the data. Moreover, the data of this study was measure in 5 rates Likert’s scale and then analyzed using Partial Least Square Method with SmartPLS3 software. The population of this study are the students of a private university in Indonesia. The sample of this study is 165 students of a private university in Indonesia. Purposive sampling technique is used by criteria as follow, the respondent must be private university students and have been seen and looking about their university’s website when still school leavers back then. The result of this study is that there is a significant influence of the e-servicescape to the perceived service quality. Furthermore, perceived service quality also found to have a significant influence on the student’s intention to use the private university service. This study also found that e-servicescape only is not enough to influence the student’s intention to use the private university service, and must be mediated by perceived service quality.
