Abstract

Teachers need innovative media and accommodate information technology, so that they can accommodate new learning systems and are compatible with students. The purpose of this research is to develop science learning media with acid-base concepts to increase students' interest and motivation. This research is included in the design-research with a small-scale trial class. The participants involved in this study were seven students. The learning media application was developed using the Glide platform based on the ADDIE model and then tested on the participants. The data in this study were obtained from a questionnaire that measured the interest and motivation of students after using learning media. The results showed that the majority of students' interests and motivations were positive towards the developed media. The results of this small-scale trial indicate that the science learning media made with the Glide platform are good from the aspect of stimulating the interest and motivation of students in science learning. Keywords: e-learning, Glide, learning media

Abstract

Experiential learning media initiatives in junior high school because students will more easily understand concepts through experimental activities compared to just listening to information from the teacher. The method used is a survey of students' interests and motivations after trying the media props "wind powered car." The number of participants surveyed was seven junior high school students. The small amount is intended to obtain initial data about interest and motivation in the learning media prototype. The survey results show that the majority of students are interested in the media or have high interest and motivation in experiential learning media. Based on the survey results, the prototype of the learning media that has been made is good enough, so it can be used in larger classes. Keywords: learning media, junior high school, social, and culture.

Abstract

Bibliometric analysis is a scientific method that can be useful for researchers who wish to pursue broad and rich retrospectives in research. This article is a bibliometric analysis using Scopus indexed journals about experiential learning and Science Process Skills with the help of the VOSviewer application. The aim of this research is to determine the development of research related to science process skills and experiential learning in terms of the distribution of bibliometric maps and research or publication trends in the Scopus database using VOSviewer software. Specifically, this article discusses the development of citations, publication trends, author collaborations, titles, author keywords, abstracts, and country statistics on the topic of experiential learning and Science Process Skills in 2020-2021. The research results show that the results of the analysis show that the number of publications obtained from 2020-2021 was 5,586 types of publications. In the VOSviewer analysis, it can be seen that there are 586 keywords used in articles that were selected using a minimum of 10 occurrences, resulting in 5 clusters that have strong connections. The term "effect" is the term that appears most often 349 times. The country that published the most articles with the keyword "experiential learning and Science Process Skill" was the United States of America (USA) with 1,579 articles. Keywords: Bibliometrics, Experiential learning, Science process skills

Abstract

Teaching aids in the learning process can help students understand the material being taught. The purpose of this study was to describe the interests and motivation of students after using teaching aids. The teaching aids were developed using the Borg & Gall research model which was limited to five stages, namely information gathering, planning, product draft development, initial field trials, and test results reports. This research was conducted on a small scale involving five students of class VIII. Students' interest in teaching aids is described when students enjoy using teaching aids as learning media, while student motivation is known that students' understanding of the process of forming human urine increases. The students' interest and motivation towards the use of teaching aids from the questionnaire obtained the highest scores of 100%, 96%, 92%, respectively, which indicates that the teaching aids are very good and have a positive influence on student motivation. The results of the small-scale research indicate that the teaching aids developed can attract students' interest and motivation to learn. This reflects the experiential learning process, especially in the material for the process of forming human urine. Keywords: teaching aids, urine formation process, Experiential Learning, motivation

Abstract

One of the obstacles for students when studying the human circulatory system is the difficulty of students in distinguishing the large circulatory system and the small circulatory system. The purpose of developing the prototype of props is to make students better understand in real and detailed terms about the blood circulation process in the human body, so far, students have only used images as visual media, and students can be motivated and learning is not spared, so that student learning outcomes can improve. The purpose of making a circulatory system model of children's learning motivation is to provide a concrete picture of information and new ideas and unite the material that the teacher will convey to the knowledge that will be given to the child, so that the material presented by the teacher can be well received by students. Props are made using styrofoam material, which is designed in such an attractive way to be representative of human blood circulation. This research is part of design-research with small-scale class trials. A small-scale trial of a prop prototype involved seven junior high school students in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. After being given an explanation and participants tried the prop prototype, they were given a questionnaire to measure students' interest and motivation for the prototype props that had been developed previously. The result obtained from this study is that students have new experiences by learning to use props. Participants were very interested and motivated in using prototypes of human circulatory circulation styrofoam props. The results of small-scale trials indicate that the props prototypes that have been developed are suitable for use in large-scale trials. Keywords: Teaching aids, blood circulation, science learning
