Abstract

Why was the Old Testament established in the 1st century AD, long after its use for the Israelites. Then, if there are determined to be part of the Old Testament, then at least there are writings that do not meet the conditions. The existence of rejected writings is increasingly confirmed by the existence of the Song of Songs and the Ecclesiastes who at the last moment were "accepted" as part of the Old Testament. Why the books that have been rejected at Jamnia do not return to use or if possible then re-consider them in the Old Testament canon. Because of course the development of knowledge that is more "sophisticated" than the 1st century AD, will be able to reveal the "truth" so that the addition of new books is possible. Isn't this all just talking about setting standards that can be changed in accordance with a mutual agreement. We must see evidence from the writings of Josephus namely Apionem, Edras, Daniel, Sirach, Jamnia, and the Samaritan Pentateuch. With this work, may the Old Testament is increasingly confirmed as a valid collection.

Abstract

There are two general views held by believers relating to suffering. There are God’s people who believe that suffering as a Christian is a curse that God does not want. This was appeared because of the reason that Jesus came to bring recovery in all things. For those who have that view, be a success person is the goal of the Christian life. Another view holds that God wants us to suffer. This suffering is the only way to experience the glory of Christ. The author in this case argues that both views are not entirely true. The firstletter who Peter wrote alludes to the suffering of believers. Based on the Peter’s theology, the author want to explain about suffering of believers biblically.Abstraksi: Ada dua pandangan umum yang dipegang oleh orang percaya berkaitan dengan penderitaan. Ada orang percaya yang berpandangan bahwa penderitaan sebagai orang Kristen merupakan suatu kutuk yang tidak dihekendaki oleh Allah. Hal ini dikemukan karena alasan bahwa Yesus datang membawa pemulihan dalam segala bidang. Bagi mereka yang berpandangan demikian kesuksesan adalah tujuan hidup orang Kristen. Pandangan lain berpendapat bahwa Allah menghendaki kita menderita. Penderitaan ini adalah satu-satunya cara untuk mengalami kemuliaan Kristus. Penulis dalam hal ini berpendapat bahwa kedua pandangan tersebut tidak sepenuhnya benar. Surat 1 Petrus banyak menyinggung mengenai penderitaan orang percaya. Berdasarkan teologi surat 1 Petrus, penulis berusaha untuk menjelaskan perihal penderitaan orang percaya secara alkitabiah.

Abstract

The position and role of women in the church need to be properly understood. This paper describes how it should be for women to take a part in the midst of God’s church. Through the case analysis of the church at Corinth will explain the purpose and purpose of Paul’s statement based on the context. Thus the church can understand what the Bible teaches about the relationship of the church and the role of women in the present.

Abstract

The first education obtained by a child is in the family and is obtained from parents. The tendency of children usually mimics in accordance with the example received from their parents. Every family usually has a tradition inherited from generation to generation in the form of values, and habits that unconsciously shape the character of the child. Families that fail to shape the character of children are usually families full of conflict or unhappy. The parents' heavy duty is to make sure family functions work as they should. Good character is a character that is taught in terms of words, behavior, patience, love, loyaltyand also in faith. Parents must be good figures for their children. This paper examines the meaning of the word of obedience and respect in Ephesians 6: 1-3 in contributing to the Christian education in the family.

Abstract

The true worship to God is the important thing for the human being. Therefore, Paul needs to be questioned about true worship in Romans 12: 1-2. And Paul tried to explain the essence of true worship, and about the agreement of Paul’s understanding of true worship according to the book of Romans 12: 1-2. This research focus on inductive text exposition method by looking at the close context and distant context. After that tried to compare the findings with the opinions of competent scholars in the field of discussion through the library research method. And finally, the writer optimistic that this paper will give the depth of the true knowledge of worship according to Romans 12: 1-2.

Abstract

The life of Jesus in the New Testament had been model for christianity, especially His prayer. The right prayer concept is like Jesus’s prayer in John 17: 1-26, where He prayed for Himself, His Disciples and others. It’s concept must be the basis of Christian prayer. This article will explain the exposition of the concept of Jesus’s prayer in accordance with the Gospel of John 17: 1-26.

Abstract

Discussing of Paul’s theology means trying to understand the thoughts and cases of the church taked by Paul himself. It is thus very good to recite the Pauls’s letters to find the wealth of his theology. This article focuses on writing to Titus, especially regarding theological concepts. Paulss letter to Titus was studied exposition, although it emphasized the theological perspective of the New Testament.
