Abstract

This article discusses the conflict between instrumental rationality and value rationality. The purpose of the article is to re-examine what the differences are between the two and what are the causes of the conflict. The finding shows that contradictory actions would not have occurred if there were no people who had a tendency to place more importance on the dominant rules and were accompanied by the awareness to implement them. The only way to stop it is to "understand" what is behind it to take an action and analyze it from the stability of reality and worldview. Whether reality must be in accordance with the worldview or a worldview that adapts to reality so that there is no mismatch between the two. When reality can no longer be explained by the prevailing worldview. Then the worldview will be reinterpreted so that it can explain reality or vice versa, the reality that must be changed to follow the worldview. Back at this time, the Bukittinggi City Government has unwittingly relaxed the 3M policy (although this rule is still being encouraged in the community) by prioritizing the mandatory wearing of masks and launching the covid-19 vaccination as a new step to stop the spread of the covid-19 outbreak.

Furthermore, this study used a qualitative approach with the aim of gaining an understanding of the relationship patterns of female students with male lecturers and students in the Department of Sports Coaching Education, Faculty of Sport Science, Padang State University, while the type of research used was descriptive. Data collection was carried out in this study by means of in-depth interviews. The results showed that the pattern of relations between female students and lecturers during classroom learning seemed balanced, as well as the pattern of relationships on campus and off campus. However, the relationship pattern between female students and their supervisors seems unbalanced because female students have a burden and feel intimidated every time they carry out the thesis guidance process. Meanwhile, the pattern of relations between female students and male students during the learning process in the classroom seemed unbalanced. However, for the pattern of relations on campus and outside the campus, the pattern of relations seems to be well established and balanced. It could be said that there are constraining factors (inhibiting) and enabling factors (supporting) that affect the relationship patterns of female students with lecturers and male students. The practice of social remarriage (marriage again) in the Minangkabau community in Kenagarian Padang Ganting studied with structuration theory by Anthony Giddens is known that there are structures that enable or empower "remarriage" itself. But there are also structures that constrain or curb “remarriage”. Of the two divisions, the empowering structure tends to be more dominant than the restraining structure. Men don't have space in their parents' homes, there are parties looking for a mate, the value of children as continuation of offspring, male providers, stigmatization of widows and two, men remarry to take care of their needs, second and subsequent marriages are easier to do and the practice of remarriage is a common thing to do into a structure that perpetuates remarriage. Meanwhile, remarriage is considered to increase men's economic responsibilities, the marriage law makes it difficult for divorce to occur and women carry out the parenting role posterity becomes a structure that restrains perpetrators frim remarriage.

Abstract

The negotiation of Muslim worship during the pandemic Covid-19 is very important to reflect on as a lesson learned after the pandemic Covid-19. This study, in addition to provide a conceptual understanding of the pattern of negotiating Muslim worship during the pandemic Covid-19, reflected this negotiation contextually. This study used a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through an interview with Muslims who actively carried out worship activities in the congregation during the pandemic Covid-19 at the Kotagede Mataram Gede Mosque. The analysis was carried out through the process of reducing, describing, and inductively interpreting data to obtain a classification and conclusion regarding the pattern of negotiating Muslim worship during the pandemic Covid-19. This study found that the pattern of negotiating Muslim worship during the pandemic Covid-19 was not least carried out through three contexts, namely, a negotiation in a structural context, a negotiation in a cultural context, and a negotiation in a spiritual context. These three contexts were an effort of Muslim resilience in accommodating their worship activities during the pandemic Covid-19.
