Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving Paitan (Tithonia diversifolia) compost, Eggshell Nanoparticles, and a combination of giving Paitan (Tithonia diversifolia) compost and eggshell nanoparticles simultaneously on growth and production of Shallots (Allium ascalonicum). This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two research factors, namely giving paitan compost (P0 = without applying fertilizer; P1 = 0. 5 kg / plot; P2 = 1 kg / plot; P3 = 1. 5 kg / plot) and giving egg shell nanoparticles (N0 = without giving nanoparticles; N1= 1 g / plot; N2 = 1. 5 g / plot; N3 = 2 g / plot), repeated 2 times.  eggshell nanoparticles had a very significant effect on plant height at the age of 2. 4 and 5 WAP, on the number of leaves at 3 WAP, and had a significant effect on plant height at 3 and 6 WAP, on the number of leaves 2 and 4 WAP but not significant effect on plant height 7 and 8 WAP, on the number of leaves at 5 to 8 WAP, and other parameters. The combination effectiveness of paitan compost and eggshell nanoparticles had a very significant effect on the number of leaves at 2 and 3 WAP, and had a significant effect on the number of leaves at 4 WAP but had no significant effect on plant height at 2 to 8 WAP, for the number of leaves at 5 to 8 MST and on other parameters

Abstract

This study aims to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the marketing of cassava chip home industry and to determine the marketing strategy of cassava  chip  home  industry  stamp  rabbit  chips  in  Tanjung  Morawa  District,  Deli Serdang  Regency.  The research method used was Snowball Sampling.  Research samples were 33 samples. Based on the research, one producer was found, then two traders from the producer, then five retailers took from the collecting trader, and twenty- five consumers who bought from the retailer of cassava stamp rabbit chips. Data collection methods use primary and secondary data.  Data analysis method used is descriptive analysis with the SWOT analysis method by identifying internal. Avoid referrals and unusual evaluation (IFE) and identifying external factor evaluation (EFE), followed by searching for the right strategy through the IE matrix and the SWOT matrix. The results of this study indicate that rabbit stamp cassava chips in Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict Deli Serdang Regency which is running a progressive strategy signifies a strong effort and opportunity to be developed. By taking an SO strategy from the results of the questionnaire, it can be obtained by maintaining and maintaining the superiority of the product can increase the demand for cassava chips rabbit stamp is getting higher, and utilizing a strategic location and the possibility of increasing collection traders, making it easier for the process to market the product to retailers abbreviations. Abstract

Banana cultivation will not be separated from pest problems. One of the main pests that attack banana plants is the banana leaf rolling caterpillar Erionota thrax L. The research was carried out in the Unified Community Farmer Group of Sampali Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency in March-May 2020. The research method used was descriptive analysis method using random sample (random sampling). The observation parameters consisted of population density, level of pest attack, egg parasitoid, larval parasitoid, pupa parasitoid, parasitoid identification, species diversity index, species evenness index, and relative abundance. There are 4 types of parasitoids, namely Braconidae sp 1 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), Tachinidae sp 1 (Diptera: Tachinidae), Xanthopimpla gampsura (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) and Brachymeria lasus Walker (Hymenoptera: Chalcididae). Erionota thrax L. parasitoid diversity index 0.7929 in low diversity levels, and the highest relative abundance of Brachymeria lasus Walker 98%, Erionota thrax attack rates on Barangan bananas reached 36.51%, Erionota thrax attack rates on Kepok bananas reached 45.13% , the attack rate of Erionota trax on Roti bananas was 50.72%, while the attack rate of Erionota thrax on FHIA-17 bananas     was 42.46%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: analyze business income settled rice mill and roving rice mill, analyze business income comparison settled rice mill and roving rice mill. Sampling method for rice milling business census method. Based on this study set as many 13 rice milling business is the respondent. Data analysis method used is Uji Mann-Whitney with software tools SPSS 21. The results of the study showed the average income rice milling business settled for Rp 5.649.821 per 26 day as for the average income roving rice mill Rp 6.355.760 per 26 day, and for income differences uji Mann-Whitney U is 0,398. Where with results uji Mann-Whitney 0,398 there is no difference in income in permanent rice milling business and roving rice milling.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the use of Trichoderma sp. to control shallots tuber (Allium ascalonicum L.). The research was conducted at Growth Center, Jl. Peradilan Tata Usaha Negara No. 1 Kenangan Baru, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, 25 meters above sea level (asl). The design used was a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors, namely the factors of administration of Trichoderma sp. Consists of 5 levels, namely: T0: Control (without Trichoderma sp.), T1: 10 g Trichoderma sp./polybag, T2: 20 g Trichoderma sp./polybag, T3: 30 g Trichoderma sp./polybag, T4: 40 g Trichoderma sp./polybag. and time of giving Trichoderma sp. Consists 2 levels, namely: W1: Trichoderma sp. given 1 week before planting, and W2: 1 week after planting with 10 treatments combination. Observations included plant height (cm), number of leaves per clump (strands), number of tillers per clump (tuber), tuber wet weight per sample (g), tuber dry weight per sample (g), and the percentage of tuber rot attack. The results showed that: 1). The use of Trichoderma sp. with various doses (T0, T1, T2, T3, and T4) significant effect on plant height but no effect on observed other. While application time of Trichoderma sp. 1 week after planting (W2) showed a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers. also significantly affected wet weight, dry weight, and the percentage of tuber rot attack. 2). The combination of the two treatment factors had no significant effect on all observed parameters.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of dodol business and how much profit dodol producers in Village Bengkel, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This research was conducted from January 2019. This study used the sampling method by simple random sampling, in this study the sample used was 30 respondents. The sample in this study were dodol entrepreneurs living in Village Bengkel, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. Based on the results of research to find out progressive strategies in the dodol business, to maintaining good quality products to increase dodol demand, maintaining affordable product prices for consumers to get regular customers and adding new customers, the relationship between business owners and dodol-making workers is runs well, the dodol-making workers are active, and the method of making it is quite easy and used manually.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the concentration and IBA the best formation and growth in potato plants (Solanum tuberosum L)implemented since months july 2019 - October 2019 in the Tissue Culture LaboratoryGrowth CentreLembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi Wilayah I  Jalan Pratun No. 1Medan Estate .The design used in this study isCompletely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 1 factor treatment namely A1 = control (without coconut water); A2 = 10 ml/l; A3 = 20 ml/l; A4= 30 ml/l, B0 = Positive control (Benzyl Amino Purine) 3 mg/l; B1 = 1 mg/l; B2 = 3 mg/l; B3 = 5 mg/l, each treatement was repeated 2 times . beside that, the parameter observed was the number of shoots, number of leaves, plant height, early appear roots, number of roots and root length. From the results of this study, the following conclusions can be drawn : 1) giving coconut water explants and IBA had no real effect on number of shoots,number of leaves , plant height, early emergence of roots, number of roots and root legenth.in this case the provision of coconut water 10 ml/l (A2) ,can stimulate the formation of the roots faster (7,63 day) the number of roots more (23,63 pieces) and the roots are longer (5,91 cm) while giving IBA concentration 1mg/l (B1) can increase the number of leaves by as much 29,88sheet.

Abstract

This study is to determine the factors that influence the income of rice farmers in the Pagar Jati Village of Lubuk Pakam sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency. The sampling method used is the proportionate stratified random sampling method. According to information from the Chairperson of Gapoktan (Farmers Group Association) and the Chair of the farmer group in the pre- research implementation, in Pagar Jati Village, Lubuk Pakam Subdistrict there were 477 farmers working on lowland rice which were joined in 8 farmer groups. Data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis that will be used is descriptive and quantitative methods. Descriptive method aims to describe and interpret data that is pleased with the situation that occurs systematically, factually and accurately about the facts and the relationship between variables to get the truth. To determine the hypothesis, the quantitative method is used technically by using a multiple linear regression econometric model. From the results of the study it can be concluded that based on the Deli Serdang UMK (City Minimum Wage) in 2016, the income of lowland rice farmers in Pagar Jati Village, Lubuk Pakam District, Deli Serdang Regency is relatively high, Rp. 3,071,250, - per month and the factors that influence the income of lowland rice farmers in Pagar Jati Village Lubuk Pakam District Deli Serdang Regency  are  fertilizer  prices  and  farmer  education  levels,  while  the  age  of farmers, the experience of farmers and the number of family dependents do not affect the income of rice farmers rice fields.

Abstract

This research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) method, which consists of two treatment factors, namely: 1) Aspirin administration factor with growth inhibitors with a notation (A) consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely: A0 = Control (without administration) Aspirin); A1 = administration of Aspirin at a dose of 1.25 g / l of water; A2 = Giving Aspirin at a dose of 2.50 g / l water, 2) Factors for giving cabbage waste compost with a notation (K), consisting of 3 levels of treatment, namely: K0 = Control (without giving cabbage waste compost); K1 = Giving cabbage waste compost at a dose of 10 tons / ha; K2 = Giving cabbage waste compost at a dose of 20 tons / ha, each treatment was repeated 3 (three) times. The parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, leaf color, stem diameter, number of tubers and production weight. As for the results obtained from this study, namely: 1) Giving Aspirin has a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers and weight of production, but no significant effect on leaf color and stem diameter; 2) Giving cabbage waste compost has a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers and weight of production, but no significant effect on leaf color and stem diameter; and 3) The combination of aspirin and cabbage waste compost has a very significant effect on the number of tubers and production weight, but has no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf color and stem diameter.

Abstract

This study aims to determine what are the analysis of the factors that influence the income of laying duck farmers. The Purpose of this Research: (1) To find out what factors influence the income of laying ducks. (2) To find out how much the income of laying duck farmers. This research was conducted in September 2019 until November 2019. The sampling method was saturated or saturated, in this study the sample used was 32 laying duck breeders. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression with SPSS 21 tools. Results of this study: (1) the results of the study that the Fcount value is 399,130 and the significance value is 0,000 less than 0.05 or Fcount 399,130 greater than Ftable 2,73. For the t test, venture capital partially has significant effect on the income of laying ducks, the business experience partially has a significant effect on the income of laying ducks, the number of livestock partially has a significant effect on the income of laying ducks, cattle fairs partially has a significant effect on the income of laying ducks, . (2) total cost of receiving is Rp. 391.550.000 with an average of 12.235.937, the total production cost is Rp.300.432.500 with an average of 9.388.515, and the total cost of income is Rp.319.380.000 with an average of 9.980.625.
