Abstract

Elaeidobius kamerunicus is one of the weevil pollinator of oil palm. Weevil pollinator, E. kamerunicus in plantation is useful to increase fruit set. Continuity of the oil palm pollination require minimal amount of the weevil. This research to know aggressiveness and population dynamic of the weevil E. kamerunicus in flower of oil palm at Grea Estate PT. Karya Hevea Indonesia. This research uses descriptive analysis method consists of observing and collecting data about the aggressiveness and population dynamics of weevil pollinators visit in anthesis male flowers and receptive female flowers of oil palm of seven years after planting. Observations were made on an hourly basis, starting at 08:00 am until 15:00 pm. Observations were made daily on trees with receptive flowers and anthesis flowers, carried out for 20 days with a different tree every day. The results showed that the aggressiveness of the weevil Elaeidobius kamerunicus as the main oil palm pollinating insect had a significant difference in interest. Where E. kamerunicus tend to be more aggressive to visit the male flower anthesis as many as 1399 tails of the visiting receptive female flower that only 25 tails. Effect of temperature on the population dynamics of E. kamerunicus visit also differ between male flowers and female flowers. For male flowers, E. kamerunicus is more active at 27 ° C. While in the female flowers, E. kamerunicus is active at 30 ° C. E. kamerunicus actively visited male anthesis flowers and receptive female flowers at 63% and 62% moisture respectively.

Abstract

An of Elaeidobius kamerunicus urevil can be trusted to increase percentage of fruit set oil palm up to 75%. The activity of E. kamerunicus often in anthesis male flower. The development of male flower was growing in spikelet in a few days. Based on this matter needed observation about the population of E. kamerunicus in every florescence period in male unfloresectial of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.). This observation was done in the year of planting at 2010 oil palm plantation in Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan (STIPAP), from March - June 2017. The methods used direct observation about growing flower in spikelet of male flower for four repetitions and data collection from calculating of E. kamerunicus population at 07.00 – 09.00 am and 10.00 – 12.00 pm with every times observation do for two repetitions in spikelet of male flowers. The result of observation shows that the grow of male flower going on for five days, start from 10,6%, 30,3%, 76,4%, 93,5%, and 100% flowers grow in last day.The most population of E. kamerunicus in days i.e 4509 veewil/ infloresencen.

Abstract

Bagworrn is one of leaf eater caterpillar in oil palm cultivation. They can attack oil palm from nursery stage to the mature stage. It is difficulty to control the baguworm because their body covered with bag. This research wa carried out in the afdeling VI Tanjung Gambus Estate PT.Perkebunan Nusantara II from Juli-Agustus 2017. Descreptive design with secondary data taken from the estate (data October 2016-March 2017). Control system has been used in Tanjung Gambus estate was by injection. The result of this research show that bagworm control by steam injection is effective. Bagworm (Metisa Plana) population decline with average mortality from 27.27 (heavy attack) to 5.44 (medium) with percentage 86.67 %.

Abstract

Rotten disease of the base of the stem is currently already attacked crops of oil palm in the nursery. This last Task done research in the area of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan. The research using random Design Group (RAK) Factorial with the sum of 12 and Deuteronomy 3 x as much treatment, oil palm seedlings grown in Sterile soil with polibeg media and ex Ganoderma with the awarding of the Zeolite and KCl application. Testing parameters are arranged on the test Range with Fingerprints Analysis F.Observations on the treatment of planting Media against the number of leaves showed no effect. For the application of Zeolite in General does not give a real Influence on the entire parameters. Whereas for the application of KCl test result statistics gives a real for influence is evident against the number of leaves, stem diameter, and height of the plant. The highest number of leaf chlorophyll contained in T0Z0K2 treatment with 66.49 CCI. The level of Infection Pathogens disease Ganoderma boninense, the level of the lowest root damage is present on the T0Z1K2 treatment with 31.62%.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of palm oil as a raw material for cooking oil for household consumption so it is an opportunity for palm oil producers to increase sales of palm oil. The sales volume of palm oil is strongly influenced by Land Area, FFB Production, Palm Oil Production and Palm Oil Price. These conditions, palm oil producers are required to attented to the above factors to achieve the target as a market leader in palm oil sales nationally. This research is descriptive using secondary data with research location in PTPN III (Persero) Medan. The method of analysis used is quantitative analysis that is multiple regression analysis. From the results of the analysis obtained regression equation Y = 40,6550 + 10,686 X1 + 1,928 X2 + 6,488 X3 + 67,886 X4 + e, where Variable Price Palm Oil has the biggest influence to Palm Oil Sales Volume of 67,886, then followed by Variable Area Land of 10,686, Palm Oil Production Variable equal to 6,488 and Variable of FFB Production equal to 1,928. Hypothesis testing using t test shows that the four independent variables were Area (X1), Production of FFB (X2), Palm Oil Production (X3) and Palm Oil Price (X4) studied proved positive relationship but not significantly affect the dependent variable buying decision. Thenthe F-test can be known that proved to be a positive relationship but not significantly affect the dependent variable that is Palm Oil Sales Volume. Adjusted R Square figures show that 82.10% of variation in Palm Oil Sales Volume can be explained by the four independent variables in multiple regression equations. While the rest of 17.90% explained by other variables out of the four variables used in this research.

Abstract

Research done in the area of campus of the STIP-AP FIELD. This research aims to reduce breeding populations of pest beetles Horn o. rhinoceros. the design used i.e. random design group (RAK). This research as a simple observation and expected to be material information in pest control beetle horns and make the kind of alternative environmentally friendly as well as being consideration for the company's plantations in determining method of pest control beetle horns the o. rhinoceros is most effective in a palm plantation. The observations done 2 days long with 14 days observation. research include mortality of Larval mortality oryctes rhinoceros with the chemical insecticide applications made using biological pest control and Sipermetrin active fungus Metarhizium anisopliae.

Abstract

Palm oil is a vegetable oil intended for oleofood and oleochemical products. Consumption of products are increasing. This study aims to determine the quality characteristics measured through free fatty acids, peroxide numbers and color of palm oil that produced from higlands crop. Palm fruits used in this study were obtained from Bah Birung Ulu Estate North Sumatera owned by PTPN 4 with an altitude 850 meters above sea level. Palm oil that produced from highland crops have free fatty acids (FFA) that increase with the increase of fruits maturity. FFA at the initial phase of maturity and after maturity phase (over ripa) were 5%, 7.6%, and 8,7 % respectively. Peroxide numbers and color of crude palm oil were fluctuating according to fruit maturity. The red color of crude palm oil at the beginning of fruit maturity will increase as the fruit maturity increases but will decrease over ripe phase.

Abstract

Biodiesel is a renewable alternative energy that can reduce the quantity of diesel oil consumption from non-renewable oil. The purpose of this research is biodisel characteristic of rubber seed oil by using zeolite catalyst by Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method. Stages in this research are extraction process, esterification and transesterification by using natural zeolit as catalyst. The result of analysis that has been done on the use of 1% catalyst yield 96,49% methyl ester with glycerol content 0,35%, catalyst 2,5% yield 94,69% methyl ester with glycerol content 0,67%, and at catalyst usage 3.5% yielded 97.50% methyl esters with a 0.08% glycerol content. When compared to SNI-7182-2006 quality standard on catalyst usage 3.5% of raw materials of methyl ester and glycerol content as well as testing the quality characteristics of biodiesel does not meet the standards

Abstract

This research aims to know the number of populations of e. kamerunicus in two different heights, to know the comparison population males and females of e. kamerunicus in every height. Based on the results of sampling populations of insect pollinators of e. kamerunicus Palm. Total population sample of e. kamerunicus on Garden Adolina i.e. 2680 tail and on the grounds of flood Birung Ulu i.e. 4548 tail. The sample population average insect e. kamerunicus females i.e. 107 tail on the garden Adolina and 187 tail on the grounds of flood Birung Ulu, and insect populations of e. kamerunicus males i.e. 27 tail on Garden Adolina and 40 tail on the grounds of flood Birung Ulu. The higher the altitude of the place, the higher the average total precipitation per year, and the higher the population of e. kamerunicus

Abstract

One of the main constraints on the cultivation of rubber plants are fungal root diseases (JAP) caused by R ligonosus. This Pathogen infecting plants in the nursery until since rubber plants. The disease control efforts have been carried out by means of chemical, technical culture and the use of biological agents. JAP is (soil borne disease) so it's not easy to control it. This research was conducted on the campus of STIP-AP Medan in January 2017 until June 2017, The study used a Randomized Design Group (RAK) factorial with 5 teatment and four replicatios. Use the trico SP plus with a dose of 50 g, 75 grams, 100 grams and 125 grams. The results of this research shown that the application of Biofungisida trico SP plus (125 grams) is the most effective treatment against pathogen Rigidoporus lignosus.
