Abstract

Distribution of Prevention Tools and Dissemination of Health Protocol for Tourist Visit Services in New Normal Post Covid-19 Pandemic. Consideration from a public health perspective on covid-19 prevention and control for the tourism sector is needed as a recommended approach to be taken by the tourism sector. Community service activities are carried out by handing over some equipment to prevent the spread of covid-19 in welcoming new normal conditions at tourist destinations, which can be used by Pokdarwis members in serving tourists. Prevention equipment includes face shields that can be used by ticket sales officers, parking attendants, tour guides, hand sanitisers to maintain the cleanliness of every tourist who will enter the Klayar tourist destination, and cloth masks used by Pokdarwis members in providing services to tourists. Covid-19 pandemic has led to new behaviours in the community, which is much more concerned about hygiene, health, and safety factors, including for tourism destinations

Abstract

Local Wisdom Approach on Social Aspect in Berastagi Night Tourism. Tourism is a strategic sector that becomes a significant part of urban development. Night tourism is the kind of tourism which innovative and potential to develop. Berastagi is known as one of the popular tourist destinations in North Sumatra that has night tourism. But nowadays, the negative image of night tourism that attaches to community life always be an obstacle in its developing process. Applying the local wisdom approach in the social aspect of night tourism is necessary to be held to create harmony between night tourism and community. The descriptive qualitative analysis has been carried out using the data collecting method by interview and field observation. This study shows local wisdom be the strength and protection that the community has to support the night tourism development in Berastagi.

Abstract

The Training on Implementing Health Protocol of Hotel’s Employees in New Normal Era. The pandemic of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) causes the decline of the hospitality sector in the Yogyakarta Special Region. All hotels’ occupancy level significantly decreases due to the number of tourist visit that is falling. This circumstance results in the temporary closure of almost all of the hotels. The closure causes the hotel employees’ laid off until an undetermined time and the deceleration of regional economic growth. However, the expectation to revive the hospitality sector appears while entering the new normal era. The hotels that were previously shut down because of the inability to cover the operational cost are now able to re-operate with the requirement of being capable to apply health protocol for preventing and controlling Covid-19 in accordance with government standard. Therefore, hotel industry players, especially the employees, are necessary to get the training on implementing health protocol in the hotel environment. It aims to meet the guests’ needs of clean, healthy, safe and environmental friendly excellent product and service. Thus, the guests’ trust can be regained and hotel sectors’ activities are able to be run well.

Abstract

The management of tourist destinations that not only have a function as a cultural heritage site but also residents' homes such as Kampoeng Wisata Heritage Kojoetangan, Malang City has a tendency to contain several problems that must be faced together because it is feared that if it is not immediately fixed it will only be a short-lived cultural euphoria. One solution that can be used is through the initiation of a living labbased collaboration in the form of co-creation of virtual tourism content creation based on virtual reality websites by considering the information and needs of stakeholders, namely, local government, destination managers, tourists, residents in Kampoeng Wisata Heritage Kojoetangan. .This community service is an implementation of action research in the form of assistance to destination managers, namely the Tourism Awareness Group

Abstract

Strengthening Tourism Awareness Group in Rural Areas through Tourism Destination Management Training. Tourism is a strategic sector that makes a very important contribution. Tourism villages / rural areas are one of the most developed tours. A tourist village is one way for the welfare of the village community. Tourism is expected to be managed by the community itself and of course, the results can be enjoyed by local communities. The City of Salatiga Tourism Office collaborates with the Satya Wacana Christian University Tourism Destination Study Program to hold governance training for the Salatiga community in priority rural tourism development areas. The community needs to be equipped with sufficient destination management so that they are able to manage and develop destinations in their respective regions. Therefore, this community service activity is carried out in the hope that it can facilitate local people to have knowledge about tourism management. The success of this training activity will be perfect if it is accompanied by direct mentoring activities when the community starts planning tourism.
