Abstract

A cross-ideological based literature review often cannot avoid bias. This will usually become more problematic when the researcher is completely at odds with the ideology of the literature being studied. This article will try to examine the Musnad al-Imām Zaid ibn 'Alī which comes from the Shi'a Zaidiah circle descriptively, regarding its authenticity, configuration, and characteristics. This work is still not getting enough attention. Although several figures have reviewed this book, the ideological bias of the reviewers is sometimes still very prominent. Although some scholars question its authenticity, in this article we will see that Musnad al-Imām Zaid ibn 'Alī is still open for further study and discussion. Differences in concepts and theories related to hadith between Sunni and Shi'i should not negate the existence of dialogue and discourse regarding the literature of the Shia. In general, the opportunity to study hadith in the Shia tradition is still very large and open.

Abstract

This study attempts to explain several major topics in hadith and hadith science, namely about who Muhaddis are, how the dynamics of tadwin hadiths are, and about the kutubussittah. Research on tadwin hadith or bookkeeping and codification of hadith is very interesting because with it, can be seen how the efforts of scholars in maintaining the hadith of the Prophet and showing the greatness of the methods and systematics of authenticating the hadith used. This research was conducted using the literature study method, with book references from mutaqoddimin scholars and contemporary scholars. The results of this study show how the criteria of a Muhaddis and how the dynamics of hadith tadwin until the books of hadith scholars can be studied to this day.   Abstrak Kajian ini berusaha menerangkan beberapa topik besar dalam Hadis dan ilmu Hadis, yaitu tentang siapa itu Muhaddis, bagaimana dinamika tadwin Hadis, dan tentang kutub as-sittah. Penelitian tentang tadwin Hadis atau pembukuan dan kodifikasi Hadis sangatlah menarik karena dengannya dapat diketahui bagaimana jerit payah ulama dalam menjaga Hadis Nabi serta menunjukkan kehebatan metode dan sistematika penshahihan Hadis yang dipakai. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi pustaka, dengan referensi buku dari ulama mutaqoddimin maupun ulama zaman ini.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana kriteria seorang Muhaddis serta bagaimana dinamina tadwin Hadis sampai kitab para ulama Hadis bisa dipelajari sampai hari ini.

Abstract

The controversy about the time of codification of hadith has existed since the Prophet Muhammad was still alive and seems to be an unresolved issue until now. This problem is further complicated when the western orientalists accuse the current hadith texts of inauthentic origin from the Prophet with the argument that there is a prohibition on the writing of hadith, they expressly deny the hadith (munkir as-sunnah). This study aims to analyze how the response of Muhammad Mustafa Azami to deny the group of munkir as-sunnah. This research is a literature study based on literature data, a qualitative approach is used to comprehensively describe how the arguments given by Azami to break the opinion of the group of munkir as-sunnah, especially on the aspect of hadith codification. The results of this study indicate that the writing of hadith existed when the Prophet Muhammad was still alive, supported by the evidence of hadith writings that had been written by many of companions Prophet Muhammad in the early period of Islam. This evidence automatically invalidates the opinion of the munkir as-sunnah group which states that the hadith is not from the Prophet Muhammad. Perdebatan tentang waktu kodifikasi hadis sudah ada sejak Nabi masih hidup dan seolah menjadi persoalan yang tidak kunjung selesai sampai sekarang. Fenomena tersebut semakin rumit ketika kelompok orientalis barat menuduh teks hadis yang ada saat ini tidak autentik berasal dari Rasulullah dengan argumen adanya larangan penulisan hadis, mereka secara tegas mengingkari hadis (munkir as-sunnah). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa lebih jauh mengenai respon Muhammad Musthafa Azami untuk menyangkal kelompok munkir as-sunnah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan yang didasarkan pada data-data literatur, pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk menggambarkan secara komprehensif bagaimana argumen yang diberikan Azami untuk mematahkan pendapat kelompok munkir as-sunnah, terutama pada aspek kodifikasi hadis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penulisan hadis telah ada pada saat Rasulullah masih hidup, didukung dengan adanya bukti-bukti tulisan hadis yang telah ditulis oleh sejumlah sahabat pada masa awal Islam. Bukti tersebut secara otomatis mematahkan pendapat kelompok munkir as-sunnah yang menyatakan hadis bukan dari Rasulullah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to illustrate that Orientalist studies and interpretations of the Prophet's Hadith or Sunnah are positive and negative. Positive Orientalist studies and interpretations are not polemical, but sympathetic and academically good and enlightening. While the study and interpretation of the negative Orientalists brought polemics both among the Orientalists themselves and among Muslim intellectuals. The Orientalist who brought this polemic, is due to untruthfulness, dishonesty and objectivity so that the Orientalist gets sharp criticism from Muslim intellectuals, both inclusive, exclusive and modernist. All of that, aimed at Orientalists studying and interpreting the Hadith of the Prophet and the Sunnah with a scientific and systematic purpose, not for their personal, group and religious interests.

Abstract

Hadith is a source of Islamic teachings that has an important position besides the Qur'an. Apart from functioning to clarify the verses of the Qur'an which are still general in nature, hadith also function as a source of information related to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the form of sunnah or customs that cannot be found in the verses of the Qur'an. In the context of health, it is found that there are hadiths related to the treatment methods of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which are practiced to this day, one of which is quite popular among Muslims is the method of treatment using techniques.hijama (cupping). Hadiths related to hijamah (cupping) can be found in several hadith books and all hadiths regarding hijamah (cupping) show the correspondence between one hadith and another hadith. So it can be concluded that the hadith about hijamah (cupping) is an authentic hadith
