Abstract

This study aims to know the implementation, by Algebra Block in improving to understand the student’s learning success. This study was classroom action research conducted for thirthy one students in class VIII C of SMP Negeri 1 Srandakan. It had been conducted from November to Desember 2016. The data were collected using an observation sheet and questionnaires. The analysis technique of the data used quantitative descriptive method by counting the average mean of the score from the students. The results of this study are the understanding and reaction students’ learning in VIII C Class on mathematics using of Two Stay Two Stray so they get improvement. The average of students’ reaction score on the first meeting got the average 73%, the first clycle on the second meeting was 76%, the second cycle on the first meeting was 79%, and the second cycle on the second meeting got the average 82% so there was improvement 9% .All the item indicators the success which are not less than 75%, those are diligence, toughness, enthusiasm, boring, hardwork and self convidence

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve learning competence by applying the "PRAVIL" (Pemanfaatan Ruang Audio Visual / the utilization of audio visual room) method among teachers in SD 1 Patalan. This study was a school action research. The subjects of this study were teacher of SD 1 Patalan in academic year of 2017/2018. This study was implemented in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. There were 2 meetings in each cycle. Data in this study were collected by using questionnaire and observation sheet that analyzed by using qualitative descriptive technique. The results of this study showed that the teacher learning competencies has increased, marked by increasing at the percentage of teacher learning competencies in utilizing the audio visual space from 71.66% in the cycle I to 78.85% in cycle II. Thus it can be concluded that the "PRAVIL" method was able to improve the learning competence.

Abstract

Each Indonesian language teacher expects his students to have skills in using Indonesian language either spoken or written. Otherwise, the observation in class XII students at SMAN 1 Tanjungsari showed that the students are not able to communicate in well and correctly Indonesian language. The students’ ability in spoken communication is still low. The use of presentation method with power point is expected to be able to increase students’ participation in learning process and improve their speaking ability. This classroom action research has purposes: (1) to know the increase of students’ participation in Indonesian language learning by using presentation method with power point, and (2) to know the increase of students’ ability in speaking using presentation method with power point. The subject of this study was class XII students at SMAN 1 Tanjungsari, Gunung Kidul. This study was taken place in SMA N 1 Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul, Jalan Baron Km 12 Kemiri, Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul. The study was conducted for 3 months, from March 1 up to June 1, 2017. The study was used two cycles. Each cycle consisted four activities: (1) plan (2) do (3) observe and (4) reflect. There were two techniques of data collecting, that was (1) observation to collect data of students’ participation and couragement to express opinion, and (2) practical test to assesed student’s speaking ability in expressing their opinion and response. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive and quantitative technique. The target indicators of the study were: (1) the indicator of students’ activity/participation ≥ 75%, and (2) the indicator of students’ achievement ≥ 90% students who reach score ≥ 75. The result of implementing presentation method with power point in Indonesian language learning showed that: (1) the use of presentation method with power point increased students’ participation in learning. The average percentage of students’ participation at cycle 1 was 63.16%, increase from 17.89% to 81.05% at cycle 2, and (2) the use of presentation method with power point increased students’ speaking ability. The average of students’ speaking ability at cycle 1 was 74.59, increasing of 3.04 to become 77.63 at cycle 2.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the improvement of problem solving ability on dynamic fluid in Physics among students after application of discovery learning models with the jigsaw method in XI IPA class. The subjects of this study were students of XI IPA 2 class. This study conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sewon Bantul by using the Classrom Action Research method. The application of discovery learning models with the Jigsaw method conducted in the following activities steps: (1) Pray together led by one of the students, apperception activities, deliver the learning objectives; (2) provide important information of the meeting; (3) facilitating some students to form their new learning groups, then each of new groups learn and discuss the subject under teacher’s monitoring; (4) facilitating each group member to separate and then form a new group of experts, each of groups learning and discussing the assignments under the teacher’s guidance and monitoring; (5) facilitate each member of the expert group to separate and the members return to the original group to explain the subject to origin group members; (6) evaluating the results of learning outcome and each group was asked to presents the results of their work; (7) provide ways to respect both efforts and problem solving for both individuals and groups; (8) end the lesson by reinforce the important material and giving homework for the next meeting, so that students' problem solving abilities can be improved. Result of this study showed an increase of student’s problem solving ability that can be seen from the increase in the average value of test from 61.29 in the first cycle which is still below the minimum completeness criteria, to 78.55 in the second cycle which is above the minimum completeness criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this School Action Research is to: 1) increase teacher’s motivation and performance in SD Sindet; 2) knowing the principal supervision in SD Sindet Jetis subdistrict; 3) knowing the efforts to increase the motivation and performance of teachers through supervision of principals in SD Sindet, Jetis Subdistrict, in academic year of 2017/2018. A teacher is required to have several abilities and skills as part of the teacher's professional competence. This School Action Research method consists of two cycles, each cycle carried out in two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study was using observation and discussion (interview). Subjects of this srudy were 11 teachers, with 4 male teachers, and 7 female teachers. The results showed that there was an increase in teachers’ motivation and performance after one-year school principal supervision on 2017/2018 in SD Sindet UPT PPK Jetis. Results of this study show that motivation reached form 80 (74%) in cycle I, to 83 (77%) in Cycle II. The performance value of the first cycle reached 61%, the second cycle reached 77%. While the Principal Supervision Value Cycle I reached 79%, the second cycle reached 82%. Based on the results of this school action research, it can be concluded that supervision of school principals may increase the motivation and performance of teachers.

Abstract

This School Action Research aims to improve teacher competence in learning as well as to increase teacher activities in carrying out their duties. This study applied a multi-method workshop with teacher classical and group approach at Sawahan Elementary School. Subjects of this study was SD N Sawahan, Jetis District, Bantul Regency. The instrument in this study was observation, and the data analysis techniques was descriptive quantitative. Results of this study showed that teacher competency before the study was 9.1%, which was increased to 45.45% after this multi methods school action research was carried out in the first cycle. In the second cycle it became 63.63% so that there was an increase in teacher competency. The increase from the initial conditions to the first cycle experiencing was 36.35%, from the first cycle to the second cycle was 18.18%. Meanwhile the teacher activities in the initial condition was 9.1%, and became 45.45% in the second cycle, and then increased to 63.63% in the second cycle. After this study, the student activities increased 18.18%.

Abstract

Fraction is one of the learning materials for Year V students of elementary school which tends to be difficult to understand due to its abstract characteristic. It is related to the students'cognitive development which is in the phase of concrete operational. This condition makes the learning process less meaningful, boring, and the students'participation is low. This research aimed at imprοving the activity and prοduct οf learning mathematics οf Year V students οf SD Negeri Semen in the academic year 2015/2016. Cοnducted in February tο April 2016, this research adοpted the actiοn research design prοpοsed by Kemmis and Taggart. Each cycle cοnsisted οf fοur main activities, namely planning, dοing, οbserving, and reflecting. Data were cοllected by using οbservatiοn, test, questiοnnaire, and interview. Research data were analyzed quantitatively using the percentage technique. The research result was that the activity and result οf learning mathematics imprοved after the implementatiοn οf interactive learning using lectοra. The imprοvement οf learning activity was prοved based οn the οbservatiοn οf learning activity. In the first cycle, students were enthusiastic tο learn using the learning media. Students were brave tο express their οpiniοn during the discussiοn and respοnd tο teacher’s questiοns. In the first cycle the percentage οf learning activity was 83% and in the secοnd cycle the percentage was 88%. The imprοvement was alsο οbtained in the learning mastery. Befοre the actiοn was carried οut, the student’s learning mastery was 43% frοm the minimum standard οf mastery 68. After the actiοn was cοnducted, the scοre was 70% in the first cycle and 87% in the secοnd cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether a short experimental activity improve the quality of economy learning process as well as improve the quality of student learning outcomes in SMA N 1 Galur. The type of this study is classroom action research conducted at class X IPS 1 in SMA Negeri 1 Galur, from February 2018 intil Apri12018. Subjects of this study were 24 students, and the study was conducted in two cycles. Data in this study collected by using observation, interview, tests and documentation data analysis was done by qualitative descriptive technique and data stated in percentage. The results of this study showed that the short experiment learning model can be done effectively and efficiently as well as able to improve the learning quality, as it was indicated by the high student interest during the learning process, characterized by high student activity both in cycle I and cycle II. Similarly, the cognitive aspect showed the minimum school learning completeness standard as it reached 73% in cycle I and then rose to 81.1% in cycle II, which was categorized as very well completeness standard.

Abstract

This School Action Research conducted at SD Bungkus. The aims of this study were to 1). Improve the teacher competence especially in learning process through clinical supervision. 2). Know the appropriate steps of clinical supervision in order to improve teacher competitiveness. This study used two cycles. Each cycle consisting of two meetings. There were four stages in each cycles: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Subject of this study were six teachers. Data collected by observed the learning proccess in the classroom by using 5 instruments, namely syllabus and semester program, teaching plans and program (RPP), learning process, student assessment and classroom management. The interpretation of score in this study used the criteria as follows: 80-100 was very good, 66-79 was good, 55-65 was sufficient and 40-55 was less. Results of this study showed that the teacher initial ability was in less criteria. The result after first cycle was still in less criteria, but after improvement in second cycle it was increased to good and average criteria, and even two teachers reached excellent criteria. It can be concluded that by using clinical supervision there was a significant increase in teacher competence from the initial condition, especially after second cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the teacher's performance on pedagogic competence of daily assessment planning through academic supervision of group discussion at SD 3 Panggang Academic Year 2017/2018 semester 1. This research was conducted at SD 3 Panggang Bambanglipuro. This research is a reflection which has been done in 2 cycles. The research subjects are classroom teachers and subject teachers. The activities in this research consist of the stage of action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The technique which the researcher used to collect the data is by using observation technique, and assignment. For the observation instrument, the researcher uses the teacher's appraisal tool (APKG) in the form of 4 instruments (basic competence mapping, design form & assessment techniques, grating making, and compilation of questions). The data analysis which the researcher uses is a comparative descriptive analysis technique. The quantitative data obtained is described in words or explanatory form. Subsequent data comparations were made to ensure that there was an improvement in teacher capacity in daily assessment planning. The result of the research shows that the findings of the group's academic supervision can improve teacher pedagogic competence in daily assessment planning at SD 3 Panggang Bambanglipuro Bantul in the academic year of 2017/2018 semester 1 of 28%.
