Abstract

BRImo application is a software support system owned by Bank bri in order to increase profits and provide maximum service to customers. With the BRImo application, it can make it easier for customers to register for new account openings and e-banking transactions anywhere without being limited by space and time. However, implementing information technology is not without risk, because banks are a highly regulated industry and must be carried out prudently. With the growing complexity of BRI's business activities and operations, the risks faced are also getting bigger. Threats that arise to operational activities can be triggered by various factors, both internal and external. Therefore, there is a need for risk management analysis on the BRImo Application using the ISO 31000 framework so that the possible risks that will occur can be minimized or eliminated by carrying out Risk Assessment and Risk Treatment. The results of this study are various possible risks in the identified application using a probability and impact matrix as well as the handling of the possible risks that exist. So that the results of this risk analysis can be used to help companies prevent, minimize risks, and treat these risks according to their priorities before the possibility of these risks hampering the company's performance.

Abstract

Flood occurs as a result of rising global temperatures, more precipitation, increased runoff, and an increase in the rate of urban flooding. The goal of this research is to calculate the flood risk assessment of a selected urban catchment in the Nigerian metropolis of Uyo. Secondary data were obtained from Landsat images of the study area using a correlational research design. Using supervised categorization of landuse in the area, the watershed pattern, landuse/landcover, and inundation level were determined using the area's Digital Elevation Model. The study also used a GIS-assisted computer simulation of storm water created by enhanced DEM to assess storm water level and inundation as a function of landuse/landcover change. Storm water generation assessment, inundation modeling, assessment of land cover and level of inundation, and evaluation of flash flood susceptibility using modeled inundation were among the hydrological models and techniques used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that Uyo has a number of streams with varying flow lengths. Uyo has 21 sub-basins, according to the study. In uyo, the total runoff was greater (0.74) inches. In Uyo, the rate of change in catchment behavior, such as catchment precipitation, node flooding, and runoff, increased with the time of day, whereas the rate of change in runoff volume varied somewhat. The hydrograph was not wider because the sections of Uyo metropolitan that were prone to moderate and high floods were higher (78.03 percent ). Based on these findings, the study suggests that better city design is needed to control the impact of flooding in the study area. To prevent the loss of life and property, areas prone to moderate and high flood vulnerability should be closely monitored and secured.

Abstract

The necessity for a platform for diverse geo-spatial investigations in the study area prompted this study. Using a Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis, the study looked at land use trends over a 30-year period (1980-2010). Urban and farm land use types encroached on grassland, forest, bareland, and waterbody by 17.54 percent and 13.59 percent, respectively, with losses in grassland, forest, bareland, and water bodies of 12.01 percent, 11.01 percent, 4.62 percent, and 3.5 percent. As a result, maps/charts of land use changes in the study area have been created, revealing a rapidly deforested region for urbanization and agricultural operations. This result will offer planners and decision-makers with a quick assessment of the possible impact of human activities in the study region, as well as the commencement of relevant efforts to reduce the impact. Furthermore, because it has provided accurate information related to land use changes over time, it will yield valuable information for the analysis of the environmental impacts of population pressure, agriculture, urban expansion, resettlement program, climate change, resources managers, development agents, fund providers, socio-economic development planners, public administrators, and environmentalists.

Abstract

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) involves series of travelling nodes communicating with each other without a fixed Set-up. Certainly, MANETs are networks that utilize communication peripatetic nodes such as; Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, laptops which enable wireless transmission across an area and forwarding data packets to the other nodes resulting in frequent change in topology. MANETs are exposed to several communication assaults such as active attack and passive attack. The active attack disrupts network operations while the passive attack obtains information without upsetting normal networks operation. Wormhole is a typical case of active attack. Indeed, an attacker receives packets at one end of the network, tunnels them to another end of the network, and then replays them into the networks from that point resulting in a collapse in communication across wireless setups. This research work simulates and models a typical wormhole attack in MANET using Network Simulator (NS-2.35) and Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). The End-2-End behavioural analysis of wormhole attacks on the transmitting networks layer of MANET was realized. To detect the level of wormhole attack in the network several parameters such as Packet Delivery Ratio, Packet Forwarding Probability and Packet Dropping Probability were considered by determining the degree of severity of wormhole attack which may upset the Quality of Service (QOS) delivery. The aim of this research paper is in the direction of Network security optimization.

Abstract

This study presents a conceptual framework for determining the effects of Market Orientation, Entrepreneurial Orientation, and Information Technology on the performance of small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) in Nigeria. The resource-based value theory was used to explain the elements affecting SMEs' performance. Furthermore, this study’s conceptual framework is based on the data derived from a newly constructed questionnaire. 130 copies of the questionnaires were distributed to the CEO / director and managers of SME organisations in Ogun State, Nigeria. Out of the 210 questionnaires, half or 105 were returned and analysed.  The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software was used to analyse the empirical data. It was found that the performance of SMEs organizations is significantly influenced by two factors, market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation, while there is no significant relationship between information technology and SME performance. This study provides valuable input for SMEs organisations by helping them to strategise future operational plan in various industries, including the education sector. The main limitation of this study is that has a limited sample size, and it did not include external performance indicators outside of procurement. As these indicators could provide additional insight into the success of SMEs, future research could consider including them as variables.
