Abstract

In the manufacturing sector, a large number of machines today use automation technologies. Production will grow and speed up thanks to automation technologies, which includes using rotogravure machines. A machine using a printing technique known as a rotogravure machine is frequently used to print packaging on materials like paper or plastic. No one presently makes fully automatic rotogravure machines in Indonesia. Tension control is one of the automation systems of a rotogravure machine. In this research, tension control, kinds of tension control, and the building of a rotogravure machine tension control system are all topics that will be covered. It uses a descriptive qualitative approach. employing a literature review to gather data and descriptive statistics to analyze it. The study's findings demonstrate that the rotogravure machine is a fast printing device that uses substrates like paper, aluminum, and plastic. The printing procedure begins with the unwinding roll, moves to the infeed, and then continues with the first and second color printing processes, moving as necessary to the outfeed and rewinding roll using a tension control mechanism. The roller-to-roll mechanism used by the machine allows for the tension management because the printed material is subjected to varying strains that must be managed. A rotogravure machine can use four different forms of tension management, specifically speed control for unwinding and rewinding, speed control for unwinding and torque control for rewinding, and speed control for unwinding and rewinding. the creation of a tension control system for a rotogravure machine using the machine's main controller, a PLC and an HMI.

Abstract

The Frais Machine is a piece of equipment used in manufacturing. To reach the specified production capacity, the machining process' time requirements must be more effectively managed. The goal of this study is to use the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) technique to ascertain how changes in workpiece and spindle speed affect vibration. The milling machine utilized in this investigation is the Lushan Model ZX32, and the measuring device is a vibration analyzer coupled to an accelerometer sensor. Sengon Wood, PVC, and Aluminum 5052 are the workpiece varieties used. At spindle speeds of 95 and 150 rpm, the study's findings on aluminum material produced Y axis personal frequencies of 118 Hz with an amplitude of 15.12 mm/s2 and 144 Hz with an amplitude of 9.657 mm/s2. While PVC produced personal frequencies on the Y axis of 71 Hz with amplitudes of 12.11 mm/s2 and 40 Hz with amplitudes of 7.025 mm/s2 at spindle speeds of 95 and 150 rpm. Personal frequencies at 118 Hz with an amplitude of 10.9 mm/s2 and 74 Hz with an amplitude of 7.97 mm/s2 in the X axis are seen in wood materials with spindle speeds of 95 and 150 rpm. The findings demonstrate that differences in spindle rotation and workpiece have an impact on vibration; smaller vibrations are produced at higher rotation rates. Additionally, differences in the workpiece can impact tool life

Abstract

Motorized vehicles are the primary mode of transportation in the neighborhood. An automobile is one of the motorized vehicles. Because of the mixing of air and gasoline, cars may move. The spark plug plays a crucial function in combustion because it ignites the mixture of fuel and air to generate combustion. Incomplete combustion will consequently result in misfiring. Damage to the spark plug, injector, and ignition coil are just a few of the things that might lead to misfiring. Therefore, due to misfiring, research on preventive maintenance for cars is required. Utilizing the vibration approach is one option. The combustion process in this study is stimulated by changing the 1000cc engine's speed. The engine speed ranges from 900 to 3500 revolutions per minute. The accelerometer sensor is then positioned vertically and horizontally on the machine's surface. According to this study, the first form mode's frequency at 900 rpm has an amplitude of 3,433 mm/s2 and occurs at a frequency of 69 Hz. In contrast, the first mode form occurs under typical circumstances at a frequency of 99 Hz and an amplitude of 1,254 mm/s2. Furthermore, at a rotational speed of 2500 rpm, the frequency in the first shape mode is abnormal at 69 Hz with an amplitude of . In contrast, under typical circumstances, the first form mode has a frequency of 249 Hz and an amplitude of 6,721 mm/s2. A frequency of 4x rpm was discovered for the rotational speed parameters of 900 rpm and 2500 rpm. This demonstrates that a misfiring-related bearing issue exists in the piston motor system.

Abstract

The coil is the main component of the vehicle in the ignition system. Therefore it is necessary to anticipate to maintain the performance of the coil so that it continues to function properly. One method that can be done is the vibration method. Vibration testing was carried out on a 1000 cc MPV vehicle with rotational variations of 800 rpm, 1500 rpm, 2500 rpm and 3500 rpm. Vibration testing is carried out using an accelerometer sensor connected to the FFT Analyzer to measure the vibration response, then an analysis is carried out using Matlab. From the research results obtained at the Y-axis point with a rotating speed of 1500 rpm the first shape mode appears at a frequency of 45 Hz with an amplitude of 1.357 mm/s2 under normal conditions. Whereas in abnormal conditions the first shape mode appears at a frequency of 41 Hz with an amplitude of 1,944 mm/s2. In abnormal conditions, damage due to bearing defects is obtained, this is due to the discovery of a frequency of 4x rpm at 1500 rpm rotation. Furthermore, at a rotational speed of 2500 rpm the measurement results on the engine show that the first shape mode appears at a frequency of 48 Hz with an amplitude of 2256 mm/s2 in normal coil conditions. Whereas in abnormal conditions the first shape mode appears with a frequency of 41 Hz with an amplitude of 4.176 mm/s2. The frequency at 82 Hz under abnormal conditions shown under normal conditions does not appear. This shows the occurrence of losses, because it occurs at 2x rpm at 2500 rpm rotation

Abstract

Companies must grow in order to boost efficiency and production quality due to competition in the wood industry, particularly in the production of increasingly hard wooden doors. The issue that businesses face frequently is the occurrence of product flaws during the manufacture of wooden doors. A method for lifting, positioning, and moving door goods has been created by PT XYZ, one of the export-quality wooden door firms. By reducing product flaws, this study hopes to raise the quality of wooden doors. The pick and place machine's grasping system is the primary cause of the high prevalence of impairment. There are specific flaws in the door-gripping mechanism that increase the likelihood of product failures from falling and workplace accidents. After reworking the vacuum area gripping system, which uses suction technology, one of the Schmalz brands manufactured in Germany is outfitted with an external suction motor as a source of suction energy. The tool can lift loads up to 50 kg in accordance with specifications at a consistent speed, according to development results

Abstract

A lubrication failure resulted in damage to the HD 1500-7 dump truck unit auto lube system, making the system ineffective and leading to lubrication failure on the frame components. Because the damaged HD 1500-7 dump truck unit is inoperable when it occurs, this damage may have an impact on its production. The goal of this study was to ascertain whether maintenance performance on the Dump Truck Brand K type HD 1500-7 unit was impacted by lubrication failure in the auto lube system. Additionally, learn how to assess the Auto lube system on the Dump Truck Brand K type HD 1500-7 and how much electricity the Grease Pump Auto lube system Dump Truck unit Brand K type HD 1500-7 uses. Using a quantitative approach, discover what is causing the HD 1500-7 dump truck unit and the auto lube system to malfunction. The analysis of the Dump Truck HD 1500-7 unit's maintenance performed from February to April 2022 revealed that the average MTBF value is 352.9 hours, the average MTTR value is 5.388 hours, and the average PA value is 96.38%. The oil-powered reciprocating pump produces 537.81 Watts of power. At a grease pressure of 2500 psi, the displacement (grease) pump requires 163.29 Watts from the reciprocating (oil) pump to operate, compared to 58.67 Watts at a grease pressure of 1500 psi. The standard working pressure for the displacement (grease) pump is 2500 psi, whereas the standard working pressure for the reciprocating (oil) pump is 400 psi. Abstract

Today, especially among industrialized and developing nations, the usage of renewable energy sources is growing in popularity as a means of supplying energy needs. One of the renewable energy sources that is now being heavily exploited in Indonesia is the potential of water that may be used as a source of electrical energy by establishing a hydroelectric power plant (PLTA). One of the turbines that is frequently used in hydropower plants as a part that may transform water's kinetic energy into mechanical energy is the Pelton turbine. There is not a lot of literature on the design of Pelton turbine buckets. In order to determine the most ideal bucket dimensions that can be used with Pelton turbines, this study presents the conceptual and experimental components of the design and analysis of Pelton turbines based on bucket variations. AutoCAD was used to model the bucket and Pelton turbine, and ANSYS Fluent was used to perform the simulation so that results could be analyzed later. By comparing the simulated data of the blade variants 1 and 2, the ideal blade dimension variation is identified by the blade simulation of variant 1. The blade variation 2 with average torque of 5.859 Nm, average angular velocity of 40.822 rad/s, and average power of 242,970 watts is the most ideal blade. With an average torque of 4,735 Nm, an average corner speed of 40,404 rad/s, and an average power of 196,794 W, the blade 3 model has lower values

Abstract

The vehicle's power comes from the engine, which uses combustion to transform the chemical energy of the fuel into mechanical energy. The combustion temperature will have an impact on the engine's operating temperature if this situation is not adequately cooled. According to some literature, the PH adjuster additive is a combination of chemicals that works to raise the PH and alkalinity of water to improve the state of the water atoms for the cooling process. However, the process of cooling a vehicle radiator with water from the engine is very hot, so further study is required. Additionally, this PH adjuster may condition the water to your specifications. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the outcome of adding the PH adjuster additive composition to the radiator water of the 160 cc Vario motorcycle. The approach is a descriptive methodology based on the outcomes of experiments. According to research based on the experiments carried out in this study, adding 3% PH Adjuster additives at 1000 rpm will produce the best engine performance. The amount of additives added also had an impact on the radiator performance of the 160 cc Vario motorcycle
