<![CDATA[The article about the problems of the digital service of the library of IAIN Curup aims to find the real problems in developing this service. The difference between the concepts by the experts and the phenomena that occurred in the library of IAIN Curup led the author to carry out this research. The problem raised is how digital service in college libraries, how digital service in the library of IAIN Curup is and what problems are found in the field. This research method was carried out by analyzing the data qualitatively then giving an interpretation related to the existing concept. Data managed by the authors was one of the results of field observations and direct interviews with librarians related to the digital service of the library of IAIN Curup. The results found that many elements must be fulfilled by the library of IAIN Curup to build digital service. The identification of the problems in this study is the answer to the purpose of this study.]]>

<![CDATA[Information literacy, in addition to being seen as a set of interpersonal competencies, can also be understood from the standpoint of society and human rights. The creativity of librarians in developing and improving services in the digital age is needed to pay attention. Librarians are able to take an active role in taking part in today's emerging technology era by innovating in services. In this era of technology and digital become the trend with slogan "world in our grip" so that library can no longer only build physical facilities and services which are conventional ones, but they have to be developed according to the development of time. Any intensive communication with users is an attempt to find out how digital information literacy is used and how library information literacy services can be integrated to the digital lifestyle of the users. In the world of librarianship the facts mentioned above are more appropriate if they are viewed in the context of digital information literacy that have been parts of the program in many libraries. However, it is necessary to extend the scope considering that digital phenomena are basically related to the use of media and communal capital in everyday life.]]>

<![CDATA[Collection is one of the requirements for the formation of a library in addition to library staff, facilities and infrastructure, a source of funding. Library collections are tailored to the needs of visitors, library types, and agency policies. The university library must have an adequate collection of both the number of titles and the number of copies. The collection is sufficient to support the implementation of education, research, and community service. In order for the development of a focused collection, a collection development policy is needed. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This approach is used to describe the collection development that has been carried out by the library of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang along with the obstacles faced, as well as to collect data to make a written collection development policy. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The findings in this study are that so far the UPT Library of UIN Raden Fatah has only carried out collection development activities by practice, but there is no collection development policy that will be used as a guide in carrying out collection development activities. This is so that the implementation of collection development activities is not well directed, because there are no guidelines in carrying out collection development activities.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to analyze how the application of management functions in the madrasa library, especially in the MAN 2 Palembang library. The research method uses a descriptive approach with qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview and document study. The results showed that in general the MAN 2 Palembang Library had implemented a management function in library management. The management functions applied include planning, organizing, avtuating and supervising. In general, the management of the school library at the MAN 2 Palembang Library is good enough, but there are still some aspects that must be fixed. MAN 2 Palembang library management planning process is more cornered to user education which can be carried out in the new school year which is carried out simultaneously with the student orientation period. Organizing in the management of school libraries with school libraries in general. The organization includes the form of organizational structure and the division of work of each library staff. The mobilization process related to the leadership process is carried out by the school principal. Mobilization related to job description is carried out with instructions from the Head of Library. Although there are no binding supervision standards, as a form of responsibility the head of the library makes a report every 6 months and the end of the school year is addressed to the principal. However, there are still some obstacles that hamper the process of management in the library; 1) The availability of computers and internet services is still not available to support better management and library services 2) Knowledge of the classification of Islam that should have been determined in Islamic-based school libraries.]]>

<![CDATA[This Article about the philosophical value of library buildings in terms of postmodern architectural thought is intended to answer the question of how important principles and values in a building are in the view of postmodern architectural experts, how the development of library buildings in Indonesia in particular. This paper is carried out by analyzing the philosophical values of postmodern architectural experts from various secondary sources. Important principles in preparing the building of a library can be adopted by digging information related to the science of architecture and experts. The expected benefits of this paper are important and aspirational information for research librarians and library workers to produce a further study related to the library building.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses about opinion and analysis of information service program in library using online method, (a case study of information service using Ipusnas Imobile Application). Qualitative descriptive approach was used in this study, and observation to iPusnas application directly was conducted for data gathering. We tried to answer how online library information service using iPusnas application was utilized, how the process flow of information service is, and what advantage and disadvantage iPusnas application has as our research problems. We found that this application is applicable to all people in general, whether they are old, young or have little capability in using the application as long as they have understood information technology. Moreover, this application can encourage millennial generation’s reading interest as they spend most of their time in using information technology devices. This application is still in startup form and need to be developed more in its loading process, features, book collection, and bug improvement to support digital library.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the dominance of reference sources, types of references, the most cited authors, the availability of collections in the Stiper Institute of Agriculture (Instiper) library and the reference year used by students in preparing scientific papers. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach and bibliometric studies with citation analysis and literary life half-life. The object of analysis in this research is 166 scientific articles published in the journal Agromast published in 2018-2019. The results showed that: 1) types of reference sources or information materials used as references for students in writing scientific papers were dominated by types of references in the form of books (74.90%) and scientific articles (16.10%). 2) The half-life age of the literature cited in the journal Argomast as a whole from 2018 to 2019 is 8 years. 75.59% of the literature that is considered up-to-date or obsolete, while the literature that is considered current is 28.15%. Thus, the literature used as a reference in the Agromast journal 2018-2019 tends to use less up-to-date literature.]]>

<![CDATA[Perilaku pencarian informasi (information seeking behaviour) merupakan perilaku pencarian tingkat mikro, yang ditunjukkan seseorang ketika berinteraksi dengan semua jenis sistem informasi. Pencarian informasi sangat dipengaruhi oleh kebutuhan informasi yang diinginkan oleh pengguna, semakin tinggi kebutuhan terhadap informasi yang diinginkannya, maka semakin tinggi pula pencarian informasi yang dilakukan oleh pengguna perpustakaan. Hal ini didukung oleh kebutuhan aktulisasi diri (dalam hal ini informasi). Di dunia akademik, guru besar atau profesor adalah jabatan tertinggi bagi dosen yang mengajar di sebuah perguruan tinggi. Orang-orang yang menyandang gelar profesor merupakan orang yang luar biasa dan dengan usaha yang luar biasa pula yang dapat menyandang gelar tersebut. Para guru besar dituntut melakukan kajian-kajian maupun penelitian di bidang spesialisasi yang mereka ambil. Oleh karena itu, mereka memerlukan akses terhadap informasi-informasi terkini dan pengetahuan-pengetahuan terbaru di bidang keahlian mereka ataupun bidang lain yang berkaitan dengannya. Informasi tersebut dapat diakses secara manual maupun online. Namun tidak semua guru besar dapat menelusur informasi yang dibutuhkannya, apalagi kalau informasi tersebut harus ditelusur secara online atau database. Oleh karena itu, tentu diperlukan strategi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mereka tersebut.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper is a quantitative analysis of research on the number of library material requirements for the 2019 Curup IAIN library based on students. The purpose of this study is to obtain a quantitative amount of library material requirements for the 2019 IAIN Curup library based on students so that the numerical calculations can be evaluated and planned for meeting the needs of the visitors. The data used is data on the number of students in 2019 which is spread into several study programs and divided again based on the year of the year and the current semester. Other data used is data on the number of subjects that are billed at IAIN Curup 2019. The method used is quantitative analysis using mathematical logic. The results obtained are the number of library monograph materials with units of titles and copies seen from the number of students per semester, per year, and the accumulated number for all students of IAIN Curup in 2019. From the quantitative analysis results can be estimated in general user needs. The amount is recalculated against special circumstances regarding changes in the number of students for several reasons. This research is useful for making the design and evaluation of the policy development of the IAIN Curup library collection.]]>
