Abstract

Memasuki era 4.0 perpustakaan dituntun selalu melakukan inovasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kegunaan Go-Lib jika diterapakan di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode studi literature. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa belum pernah ada perpustakaan perguruan tinggi yang bekerjasama dengan Gojek. Pembahasan perlu kemauan keras dari semua unsur universitas untuk mendukung program ini karena akan menjadi peluang bagi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi supaya bisa bersaing. Kesimpulan melihat trend yang berkembang maka terdapat peluang yaitu perpustakaan perguruan tinggi bekerjasama dengan ojek online yaitu Gojek. Layanan yang nantinya menyasar mahasiswa dimanan mahasiswa memerlukan bahan skripsi/tesis/disertasi bisa memanfaatkan yang saya beri nama GO-LIB.

Abstract

Nowadays social media has become a lifestyle of some Indonesian people and libraries as one of the institutions that provide information services and providers of information sources for users. In addition to the phenomenon of the use of social media as mentioned above, in several studies on the use of social media in libraries it was found that at present there has begun to be growing awareness from libraries to use social media as a form of innovation from services provided by libraries to visitors. In this study trying to analyze the use of social media as a form of innovation, communication strategies and service creativity in the college library. The method used is descriptive analysis. In order for the use of social media in the library to be more optimal, there are several things that must be considered. Optimizing the use of social media in libraries needs to be done so that all available information can be conveyed properly.

Abstract

The effect of vandalism was the loss of the beauty of the book, damaged of paper, the loss of the information of the book thus reducing the comfort of reading. The problems of this study were (1) what is the causes of vandalism collection, (2) what is the weaknesses of librarian and staff so the occurrence of vandalism collection, (3) what is the solution to avoid of vandalism. The method of this study was descriptive qualitative. The populations of this study were the circulation collection at the second floor from 000 classifications (public in general) to 900 classifications (history and geography) that had vandalism by the librarian. Data collection of this study divided into two aspects, (a) primer data, (b) secondary data). The result of this study was for public in general (000) there was 1.700 copies (31.75) had vandalism with the type of the book crossed out, highlighter, torn, and underline. Philosophy of collection (100) that vandalism was 61 copied (1.65). Religion collection (200) 171 copies indicated vandalism. Social science (300) 68 copies indicated vandalism (0.3). Linguistics (400) 108 copies indicated vandalism (2.74). Pure Science (500) indicated vandalism 68 copies (0.71%). Collection of applied sciences (600) indicated vandalism 178 copied (0.999%). Art and sport (700) indicated vandalism 7 copies (0.379). Literature (800) indicated vandalism 141 copies (3.484%). History and Geography (900) indicated vandalism 141 copies (3.484%). The causes of vandalism collection, such as: Peer influence, parents often gives bad example to their children like throwing the trash out of place. Mass Media, the attitude of not taking care of the community to the act vandalism, lack of supervision of staff or librarians against the user/visitor.

Abstract

IAIN Bengkulu Library Center as a supporting partner of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi every year has a work program or activity either directly or indirectly in providing guidance to the scalper pemustaka especially new students to introduce and direct the pemustaka to be able to recognize and use the facilities and information that has been provided in IAIN Bengkulu Library Center well, effectively, efficiently, orderly and independently. The effectiveness of librarian guidance done by librarian of IAIN Bengkulu Library Center from some description of the answer from informant IAIN Bengkulu informant and direct observation writer that guidance pemustaka contribute effectively to provide understanding and direction about utilization of library resources and able to minimize violations such as destruct the composition of book On the shelves, late return of books and create an orderly library, discipline in accessing information in the library

Abstract

The Village Library has full responsibility in terms of empowering knowledge for the community. This is because the village library has a strategic position in rural communities. The empowerment of this knowledge is very closely related to the achievement of prosperity both materially and nonmaterial. In the empowerment of knowledge refers to the existing conditions of the village library, potential maps, and problems that exist in the Paseban Village community. This research uses a case study with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, audio-visual material (Creswell). Analysis of the data used is Creswell data analysis. The researcher chooses to use qualitative validity and reliability to demonstrate the validity of the data as well as the accuracy of the research results. The results of this study are that the Paseban Village Government has carried out empowerment related to tourism development, BumDes, and through the provision of the internet. However, it is not under the auspices of the village library. The empowerment carried out is partial, not centered on the village library. Paseban Village Government has not fulfilled the three aspects of empowerment, namely a) enabling, b) empowering, and c) protecting. So that there is a need to develop a model of knowledge empowerment in the Paseban Village Library, including: a) enabling (village library as a center of knowledge, village library creates an atmosphere that allows the potential of the community to develop by maximizing the function of the library; b) empowering (strengthening the village library as a center of knowledge , strengthening the village library in creating an atmosphere that enables the potential of the community to develop by maximizing the function of the library with concrete steps, the concept that is in enabling is practiced with concrete steps and the availability of infrastructure that can support the creation of community empowerment; c) protecting ( the village library as a knowledge center establishes an information center that can protect and defend the community in terms of knowledge and information related to the distribution of the results of community innovation, the village library covers everything needed community in developing welfare literacy.

Abstract

This paper is a theoretical study of the Optimization of the Use of SliMS applications in improving the performance and creativity of librarians in a Library. The better the performance of librarians, the better the library is managed. By using the application SliMS application many important jobs in the library that can be assisted include collections management, circulation service system, recording visit statistics, statistical collection records, database building and maintenance systems, evaluating the use of collections, and other tasks related to librarian assignments. Recording and evaluating the duties of librarians especially for the librarians of employees of Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) at the present time is carried out more carefully in accordance with the level and type of position. SliMS applications are well designed to accommodate all librarian tasks according to the functions of the library.

Abstract

Di era teknologi informasi saat ini, sistem informasi perpustakaan menjadi hal yang sangat penting. Seperti halnya sistem informasi penelusuran informasi (Integrated Library Information System) IBRA yang dapat membantu pemustaka mencari informasi yang dibutuhkan. Penelitian berjudul Evaluasi Kinerja (Integrated Library Information System) IBRA sebagai Sarana Temu Kembali Informasi di SD Muhammadiyah Sapen ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan 6 kreteria evaluasi temu kembali informasi menurut Salton dan McGill yang dikutip oleh Chownhulury, yaitu covererage of the collection (Cakupan Koleksi), precesion, Respon Time’s, (rentan waktu), Effort atau upaya pengguna, covererage of the collection ( Cakupan Koleksi), Penyajian data. Hasil penelitian Tingkat keefktifan kinerja IBRA dan proses mengunakan pendekatan subjek dan judul hasil menunujukan bahwa nilai precision memiliki nilai efektif. Sistem tidak menampilkan waktu perolehan data, Sedangkan dalam segi upaya pengguna dalam penggunaan IBRA masih kurang, tidak ditemukannya menu help. Selain itu Tampilan sistem temu kembali perpustakaan SD Muhammadiyah Sapen cukup menarik, sehingga penguna akan merasa senang dan nyaman ketika memggunakan OPAC. Cakupan koleksi yang ditampilkan IBRA cukup lengkap lengkap. Terdapat pdf, tampilan sampul, data bibliografi. Namun belum menampilkan abstrak.

Abstract

In the preparation of an effective research proposal in library and information science, a researcher needs to have a proposal writing strategy, and to understand of the ethical issues of research either through qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods. Therefore, this paper aims to provide a guidance for a researcher about writing strategies that includes nine key elements of the arguments, the research proposal outlines, the effectively research proposal writing stages, and the ethical issues during the research. The ability of a researcher to choose a strategy, and to understand the ethical issues of research is very important. Its will determine the quality of research outputs

Abstract

The virtual reference service (VRS) has been implemented by some libraries in Indonesia. This study aims to identify trends in VRS in some libraries in the Java Island. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive analysis presented as a percentage, then elaborated again with narration or description associated with the field and theory. Using purposive sampling technique, selected 12 libraries to be analyzed on the website. The sample consists of public libraries and special libraries. The results form 12 library samples found to bring trends in the form of presenting referral services if sorted from the most used by the library are email (91%), web forms (75%), chat references (67%), and SMS (8%). Both email and web form used for VSR is using the library's public email. Chat references available on the web library use the Tawk Live Chat App, add on Dalet Galaxy, Whatsapp and Line. VRS in SMS form is only used by the National Library. Email is the most common format used as a communication tool in VRS followed by web forms, chat references and SMS. The results of this study can be used as material for consideration to develop format of VRS in Indonesian libraries

Abstract

Every technology and media carries its message for users and brings change in human life, including e-journal publishing. The practice of modernization in the e-journals publishing by OJS also has an impact on changing the journal appearance and the publishing process, starts from the manuscript submission by the author, editorial, and peer-reviewed, to journal publishing by the editor. Printed journals that are formed of paper sheets and have limited information access are different from e-journals that are formed of digital files and information access is not limited (online). The government policies regarding the OJS existence and function as one of the standard e-journal publishing platforms in Indonesia and the accreditation requirements of national scientific journals, also have an impacted on the behavior and culture-changing of the users (writers, editors, reviewers, proofreaders) and enhancing the scholarly communication culture. OJS as technology or media has become a mediation for its users and has even been institutionalized by the government, and this phenomenon has become one of mediation in journal publishing. This paper aims to find out the mediation of government policies related to the issuance of e-journals using OJS in Indonesia. The study data is descriptive-qualitative, with the source of literature study data and the best practice knowledge of the author. This study shows that government policies related to the use of OJS for e-journal publishing in Indonesia effect on changes in the appearance and process of journal publishing, changes in user behavior and culture, and improvement in scholarly communication culture.
