Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the portrait of the Sakinah family in a polygamous family, as well as to reveal the impact of polygamous marriage on children's welfare in North Aceh, Indonesia. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with field research and library research. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and literature studies. Primary data sources were 32 participants consisting of 8 polygamous husbands, 5 first wives, 7-second wives, 1 third wife, 1 fourth wife, and 10 children in polygamous families. Secondary data sources from the field consisted of Islamic religious counsellors who served at the KUA, and community leaders in the North Aceh district. The results of this study indicate that respondents define a sakinah family as a comfortable household condition, fulfilling a living both physically and spiritually, as basic needs consisting of food, clothing, shelter, worship, education, affection and fair treatment for all family members. The Sakinah family is also associated with polygamous status, where there are respondents who understand that the Sakinah family is a family that is free from the practice of polygamy. The way polygamy practices affect the well-being of children in the family. Open and legal polygamous marriages have a positive impact on children because husbands/fathers are able to be fair in the family. The relationship between family members is quite harmonious, both the relationship between children and parents, as well as other family members. Meanwhile, secret polygamous marriages tend to have a negative impact on children. Husbands/fathers tend to neglect their responsibilities as heads of the family. The relationship between children and their parents and fellow family members is not always harmonious. The practice of polygamy can affect children's lives in three aspects. Psychologically, polygamous marriage families make children lose confidence, stress or depression, wepping, get angry and hate their parents. In terms of education, children experience a decrease in achievement. The inability of parents to pay school fees causes children to drop out of school. In the social aspect, children who live in a polygamous family experience isolation from friends and get bullying from peers or neighbours. Abstract

This study aims to determine how the policy and its implementation as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of the madrasah prinsipal’s of policy in improving education services at State MTs of Pasuruan City. Researchers focused on the madrasah prinsipal’s of policy in improving education services. This research is qualitative research. Data collected using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. After the data is collected, its validity is checked again through validation standards, namely trust, transferability, dependence, and firmness. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, presenting data and giving conclusions from the research results. The findings of this study are 1) The Education Service Policy carried out by madrasah to improve madrasah performance is quite good; 2) Implementation of the head master of Madrasah Policy through coordination and evaluation, the Madrasah Head can see the condition immediately all problems or plans that are running in the madrasah; 3) Supporting factors form madrasah is vice head master have a high spirit of cooperation, with dedication and loyalty in serving students according to their respective functions and responsibilities, Awareness of personnel in carrying out their respective duties, functions and obligations can be carried out properly, Adequate facilities and infrastructure. While the inhibiting factors are 1) Facilities and infrastructure are not sufficient to facilitate the needs of teachers and administrative employees; 2) reduced support from teachers and administrative personnel for the acceleration of the madrasah program; 3) There are some teachers who are still late and leave the hours empty when the learning process takes place; and 4) Some students who are not serious about taking extracurricular classes.

Abstract

This Research is motivated by the role of the curriculum as a frame of reference for learning Arabic in Indonesia, particulary in the Maharah Kalam (speaking skills). This study aims to examine indicators of attainment skills at MA grade 11 in the Independent Curriculum in terms of the Common Europe Framework of Reference (CEFR) in three aspects, that is: [1] Objectives and characteristics, [2] Learning outcomes and [3] Communicative expressions. This research is a qualitative research with the type of library research. The primary data source for this research is the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum document and the secondary data sources are document that are relevant to this research. The research steps consist of identifying keywords, finding the relevant literatures, evaluating and critically reviewing literature, organizing and writing the result of research. The results of this research are: [1] The KMBKM curriculum is relevant with 2 CEFR competencies (general and communicative) in its objectives, [2] The learning outcomes of the KMBKM curriculum are relevant in themes with CEFR at every level, [3] The communicative expressions in the KMBKM curriculum are appropriate at CEFR levels A1, A2, B1 and B2. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to make a product in the form of an integrated Augmented Reality Google Sites learning tool that is valid, effective, and practical. This type of research is classified as research and development using the Thiagarajan 4D development model and involving 30 class X-E MAN 1 Kota Malang students. The instruments used in this study incorporate validation sheets, test questions, and questionnaires. The evidence was scrutinized by applying Aiken's V and descriptive statistics. The data obtained in the study show that: (1) the resulting product is included in the very valid category with an average percentage of 91% (2) the mean value of the respondent's test score after utilizing the media is 70 which designates that the media is categorized as effective, and (3) the mean value retort to the media is 88% which indicates that the media is excellent and very experiential. These products are suitable for application and can prop up the proficiency of technology-based concepts, mainly on the topic of molecular shapes.

Abstract

Until now, the reading culture in Indonesia is still among the lowest in the world. This has an impact on the low ability or reading skills of students. One of the solutions provided by the government to overcome this problem is to issue a unique GLS Manual Series related to the Think Aloud Strategy for high school level and equivalent. The research, which was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach, aims to apply the think-aloud strategy to class X-9 at MAN 1 Pasuruan in the even semester of the 2022-2023 school year. The formulation of the problems in this study include: (1) how is the think-aloud strategy practiced in improving narrative text reading skills in class X-9 MAN 1 Pasuruan? and (2) to what extent can think aloud strategy improve narrative text reading skills in class X-9 MAN 1 Pasuruan? Based on the results of the implementation of cycle 1 and cycle 2, the researcher concluded, first, the implementation of the think-aloud strategy in class X-9 MAN 1 Pasuruan can be fully (100%) practiced in accordance with the references or guidelines that have been outlined in the literature review. Second, the application of the think-aloud strategy can significantly improve the reading skills of class X-9 students of MAN 1 Pasuruan both in the knowledge (cognitive) and skills (psychomotor) aspects. In the cognitive element, there was a very significant increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2. The same thing happened in the psychomotor element, although not too significant. Thus the second and third indicators of success where the mean score of class X-9 on the cognitive and psychomotor aspects of > 80% is well fulfilled. There are several suggestions for further research, first, the think-aloud strategy is very feasible to practice in the teaching and learning process in English subjects (mapel) and also other subjects because this strategy is able to improve the quality of students' thinking in understanding the text being read. Second, modeling a new strategy is also very much needed as an initial guide or guide for students to make it easier to practice independently when reading other texts. Finally, further research is needed in other subjects, besides English, by using the think-aloud strategy or modifying it with other strategies.

Abstract

In response to the results of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) survey released by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2019, that Indonesia ranks 62nd out of the 70 lowest countries with low literacy levels, the government is very concerned about launching the School Literacy Movement (GLS). This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was carried out as an effort to improve the literacy skills of students in class X-10 MAN 1 Pasuruan in the even semester of the 2022-2023 school year. The formulation of the problem is (1) how is the implementation of the Two Stays Two Strays (TSTS) strategy to increase the literacy skills of Business Entities in the Economy subject at class X-10 MAN 1 Pasuruan? and (2) to what extent can the TSTS strategy increase the literacy skills of Business Entities in the Economy subject at class X-10 MAN 1 Pasuruan? Based on the results of the implementation of cycle 1 and cycle 2, the researcher concluded; first, the implementation of the TSTS strategy in class X-10 MAN 1 Pasuruan can be fully (100%) implemented according to the guidelines in the literature review. Second, the implementation of the TSTS strategy can significantly improve the literacy skills of students in class X-10 MAN 1 Pasuruan both in cognitive and psychomotor aspects. In the cognitive aspect there was a very significant increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2. The same thing also happened in the psychomotor aspect. Thus, the second and third indicators of success where the mean score of X-10 class on the cognitive and psychomotor aspects of > 80% is well fulfilled. Suggestions for further research, first, the TSTS strategy is very appropriate to choose in the teaching and learning process of economics and other subjects that have a large amount of material, because this strategy is able to improve students' literacy skills so that they master the subject well. Second, for future researchers it is recommended to combine it with other strategies in order to obtain a more optimal increase in literacy.

Abstract

Spiritual and herbal rehabilitation are considered more effective and more attractive to drug users for rehabilitation compared to seeking help from official healthcare institutions, which may be accompanied by concerns about criminal penalties. This makes it interesting to conduct research to gather information about spiritual and herbal rehabilitation used in the recovery of drug users. The research location is Padepokan Purbo Kayun in Blitar. The research method used is qualitative case study. Data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, and documentation. There are 10 research informants, including 2 from the therapists at Padepokan, 4 from the residents of Padepokan, and 4 from the rehabilitation section of BNNK Blitar. The stages of data analysis include data presentation, data reduction, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Padepokan Purbo Kayun implements three therapies: MeRaBa (mental, rukyah, and herbal). Additionally, there are lecture sessions on Tuesday and Saturday evenings, and the place receives a high number of visitors (up to 40 people). Among these visitors, some come from the local area, others from different regions, and even from other provinces. An analysis based on social theory for the mental aspect and RCET for the rukyah and herbal aspects agrees that social factors, foot massage therapy, and the consumption of herbal plants play an effective role in the rehabilitation process for residents.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Think Pair Share strategy was chosen for the following reasons, including: (1) based on daily observations on previous material until this research was conducted, students in class XI IIS 1 achieved learning outcomes that were low and lack of interest in learning Mathematics due to a mindset of knowledge Mathematics is abstract, and (2) this Think-Pair-Share strategy has never been practiced and carried out either by researchers as educators or by students in class XI IIS 1. In its implementation there are a number of crucial elements that must be done so that the application of TPS can increase activeness student learning. These important things are: (1) the Thinking stage is carried out in groups. Each group consists of 2 people and holds discussions with the help of LKPD, (2) in the Pair stage it is carried out with students in groups with 4 members consisting of a combination of 2 groups in the previous stage (3) in the Share stage one of the groups in the pair stage is asked to explain the results of the group discussion in completing the LKPD in front of the class with the attention of all students in the class. The results showed that the steps of the 100% Think Pair Share (TPS) type of cooperative learning model could increase the learning activity of class XI IIS 1 MAN 1 Pasuruan students then indicators of success in cognitive and psychomotor aspects were > 80% well fulfilled.

Abstract

The utilization of technology in the world of education is an innovation and is considered to provide new experiences. One of the technology-based learning media is an online learning website. Creating an online learning website for history learning as an innovation in accessibility media learning. This type of study uses research and development (R&D) methods. The subject of the test is history education students. Data collection and analysis uses a questionnaire with qualitative and quantitative data types. The results of questionnaires from 20 respondents showed that online learning websites are useful. The use of online learning websites in one week is quite frequent which requires an online learning websites. Based on research carried out in small and large classes, the following conclusions were obtained. First, online learning websites are a relatively new innovation for history learning. In general, online learning websites are general and not specific to history learning. Second, proper hosting and domain provide maximum view when using an online learning website. Hosting and domain in premium category provide access for learning websites with velocity access, server disruptions, website hacking and backup are overcome. The result of media and material validation obtained very feasible result, while the small and large class trials also obtained very decent results.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of perception and enjoyment of learning a foreign language on the well-being of learning English. This study uses a quantitative approach. The respondents were class VII students (n = 47). The research location is at State Junior High School 3 Satap sejangkung, Sambas, Indonesia. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. Data collection was carried out in September 2023. The perception measurement instrument was adopted and modified from Dhian Marita Sari and Muslem et al., enjoyment measurement from Dewaele & MacIntyre, well-being assessment from Lo & Lin and Zhu. Data analysis uses normality, linearity, correlation, and regression tests. The results show the influence of the perception of learning English (X1) on the welfare of learning English (Y), with a value (sig.) of 0.000 < 0.05. Perception is strongly correlated with wellbeing (Y) and grades (r = 0.633). There is no influence of the enjoyment variable on English Learning Wellbeing (Y), value (sig.) 0.007 ˂ 0.05. However, it is strongly related (r = 0.709).
