Abstract

This research is motivated because of the problems found in schools, namely, the LKPD used in schools is generally less attractive, both in terms of the space for filling in the less extensive answers, the color of the LKPD which does not have an attractive color, the structure is incomplete and the supporting images for the LKPD are inadequate. This research is a development research, namely Research and Development (R&D) which consists of four stages, namely: define, design, development, disseminate. in this development research using the 4-D model proposed by Thiagarajan (in Ratumanan, 2019: 61). The results showed that the development of discovery learning-based LKPD collected through a validation questionnaire was used to measure the feasibility of student worksheets (LKPD). The results showed that the discovery learning-based student worksheets developed were feasible and valid for learning. This is evident from the results of obtaining questionnaires by expert experts and educators who state that the development product is feasible based on the results of the linguist expert's validity test (92.5%) is categorized as very valid, aspects of rpp Validator 1 (92.5%) are categorized as very valid, Validator 2 (95.00%) which is categorized as very valid, expert design expert (98.07%) is categorized as very valid. This proves that the Integrated Thematic Student Worksheet Development (LKPD) with the Discovery Learning Model in Class IV of Elementary School is stated very valid.

This study was a correlational study designed to determine whether and how a set of variables had related to each other. The participants were 50 students in the first year of high school. The instruments used in this study were observation sheet and questionnaire. Observation sheet is used to find out the category of students’ activities in STAD model and give a questionnaire consisting of seven items to the students. SPSS was used to analyze the data. The score of product-moment by using SPSS, Rxy is (0,410): it showed there was a significant correlation between students’ activities in STAD model and their interest in learning English. Referring to the product-moment table, it shows that the correlation is “enough” because 0,401 placed between 0,400 – 0,599. In addition, the null hypothesis was rejected because r table is lower than r observation whether at 5% (0,279) or at 1 % (0,361) level of significance, meaning that there was a significant correlation between students’ activities in STAD model and their interest in learning English. So, it can be concluded that activities in STAD model can influence students’ interest because, in STAD model, students can learn the English learning material better. . Keywords: Students’ activities, STAD model, interest, learning English.

This is a qualitative research with data obtained from 20 failed family businesses in the food and convection sector in 4 provinces of Pekanbaru, Palembang, Jakarta, and Surabaya in Indonesia from 2018 to 2020 through in-depth interviews. The results showed that the failures experienced by family businesses are due to several conditions, such as inadequate management. Furthermore, its leaders are mostly direct descendants like biological children with very weak leadership abilities, hence they are unable to make changes to digitization. Despite the fact, the products have a good culture and brand, they are unable to develop the company due to their inability to carry out digital transformation. In addition, consumers or the public have very little knowledge of existing companies or products because they are unable to convey adequate information. This research contributes to highlighting cases of family business failure due to the inability to carry out digital transformation. The literature provides more information and theories regarding developed countries and little is done to family companies of an ethnicity that have strong products, culture and social capital. The limitation of this research is that it still has a few respondents and uses qualitative methods. Therefore, further research needs to be carried out using quantitative methods, a greater number of respondents, and other variables.
