Abstract

This paper summarizes and gives examples of the using of IoT in Industry 4.0, especially in Oil and Gas Refineries. Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies are driving digitalization driven by software and data solutions in many areas, particularly in industrial automation and manufacturing systems. Global refineries are currently all heavily instrumented, and process regulated in real-time to the millisecond. To meet the ever-increasing needs of operational demands, SCADA, Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (DCS & PLCs) have grown significantly. On the other hand, certain assets and operations in a refinery are still not being monitored or evaluated in real-time. If an error occurs that causes production to be hampered, the company must bear large losses even though production stops in just a matter of minutes. This is one of the reasons why the oil and gas sector is starting to implement the Internet of Things (IoT). The overall aim of this paper is to give and summarize several papers to provide solutions for a simple process monitoring system that would enable process operators to identify any sources of abnormality quickly and easily in the process. A system is being made so that it can be accessed and transmit data remotely via a computer network and will display conditions in real-time without being limited by distance, space, and time. This will allow all previously disconnected assets and processes to be linked and monitored in real-time in a simpler, cost-effective, and easy-to-implement manner.

Abstract

This paper introduces a millimetre-wave antenna design for 5G application using an alternative substrate called Kevlar-Alumina Composite. Kevlar-Alumina Composite had been researched and measured comprehensively by Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI) Bandung showing dielectric value of 9.2. The application of the antenna geometry is based on Vivaldi Coplanar antenna with L shaped feeding on the ground plane. Vivaldi Antenna is chosen as it has a relatively small size with various structures. An antenna of 3.75 GHz for 5G application using Kevlar-Alumina Composite is proposed. The simulated results of single-element 5G antenna have return loss value of -21.949 dB, 1.173 VSWR, directive radiation pattern at E-Plane and H-plane, and surface current. The use of the Kevlar-Alumina Composite performed good results.

Abstract

The need for public facilities in densely populated areas is an important matter. One of the needs for public facilities is a public toilet or commonly called MCK. However, the MCK facilities do not yet have management of charging water and electricity. One way to overcome this problem is to use a system that is able to manage water filling and electrical power in the MCK. The problem of insufficient power can be overcome by applying Solar Cell using a Hybrid system so that the existing power becomes more efficient. This study uses a water management system in the toilet bowl using ultrasonic sensors and solenoid valves. The duration of using MCK is known from the PIR sensor. The power management itself uses a hybrid solar cell system where the resources used are batteries and PLN. Then the sensor reading data is sent to firebase and displayed on the website. Based on the test, it was found that the performance of the solar cell during testing on Saturday 10 July 2021 to Monday 12 July 2021 produced an average power of 20.28Watt and the average intensity of sunlight was 680062.32lx. The power used by the load for 3 days is 0.81 kWh. The average usage on the 3 days of the trial was 9.72 Min. Quality of Service testing on a 3-day trial system obtained an average delay of 0.9637308s and packet loss of 2.2%.

Abstract

One way to meet the needs of fish seeds in the general public is to cultivate fish species. UPT BBI (Balai Benih Ikan) Tlogowaru, is one of the fish seed cultivation sites located on Tajinan Tlogowaru, Kedungkandang sub-district, Malang City. Fish seeds include koi fish seeds. In the pool using water from the river. To maintain the water of the koi fish hatchery, the condition of color turbidity is monitored as the level of turbidity of the water visible from above the waters of the koi fish hatchery, and a water flow sensor is processed by esp32. The water flows through the gravity pipe which will turn the turbine. With the rotation, the generator will produce power which is used to activate the telemonitoring device. The water then enters the filtration and will be channeled to the koi fish hatchery. The results of this study have an average pH value of 6.8 - 7.2 and a TDS of 257-282 ppm after water filtration with the turbine speed value being influenced by water flow and turbine rotation speed and the average power consumption generated for system performance of 8.265 w/h using a MiFi network with QoS parameters measured are delay and packet loss in the low category. And the use of the website makes it easier for users to monitor fish seed ponds

Abstract

Along with the development of an increasingly rapid era, it is directly proportional to the development of technology. Optical fiber is a transmission medium used in telecommunications. The quality of information transmissions through this cable transmission medium is influenced by a number of variables, including attenuation and dispersion. The rising time budget value is determined by the dispersion, and the power link budget is determined by measuring the attenuation that influences the light's path during data transmission and causes dispersion. The results showed that the chromatic dispersion value of the measurement results on this optical link was influenced by bending, the length of the distance on the path, the splicing of optical fibers, and due to the deployment of optical fibers. The system still performs at the required levels, i.e., at a power link budget of less than -15 dBm and a rise time budget of less than 70 ps, hence the optical link results have no impact on the system's performance. The results of the implementation of the website in this study display the results of measurements and calculations that were previously carried out where the results of these measurements and calculations can be seen in a table that has been integrated between databases to store data values ??with an online map which is then displayed the value on the map or online maps on the website containing data from the measurement results and parameter calculations on optical fiber owned by PT. Telkom Access.

Abstract

Along with the development of the era, analog telephones have been replaced by IP Phones whose communication range can be wider and more flexible. Therefore, analog telephones are almost forgotten because of the limited communication range. With the addition of ITG (Internet Telephony Gateway) then analog telephones can communicate in VoIP networks. This research will discuss the analysis of voice quality in the communication process between telephone sets via ITG in a VoIP network based on the shape of the input and output, the amplitude response to frequency changes and the delay. Data retrieval is done by using a transmission test set as a substitute for human voice and knowing the amplitude value generated every time there is a change in frequency and an oscilloscope as a tool to determine the shape of the input and output waves as well as the delay. The results of this study indicate that delay generated by communication between analog telephones is <1 ms. When viewed from the form of the information signal generated from communication between telephone sets, that is, the shape of the input and output information signals are both sines, so it can be said that the information signal has not decreased in quality. The amplitude response resulting from frequency changes in communication between analog telephones is, the greater the value of the communication frequency.

Abstract

The difference in the texture of coconut flesh is an obstacle for sellers of coconut drinks who use young coconut meat with a soft texture, and an obstacle for industries that use old coconut meat with a hard texture, such as the production of coconut milk, coconut oil and coconut flour. Therefore, consistency in determining the thickness of the coconut flesh is very much needed. This research will design a tool to classification and classify the maturity of sound sensor coconut fruit. In determining young or old coconuts based on sound,a servo motor as a driving force to use the outside of the coconut to make sound. This test is done by testing the original type of green coconut. Based on the results of testing the coconut fruit maturity classification tool using a sound sensor, it can be done and the sound sensor successfully captures sound. Coconut fruit can be classified as young if it has a sound intensity of less than 56 dB, because the coconut fruit has the characteristics of a young coconut, which is small in size, bright green in color and has pink fibers. Meanwhile, if the resulting sound intensity is more than 56 dB, the coconut is classified as an old coconut because the coconut has the characteristics of an old coconut, which is brown or dark green in color, large in size and has white fibers. Speed and power Servo Motor has to be the same input voltage of 5Volt.

Abstract

Lamps are household electrical devices. In general, the lights are controlled through switches which require the user to move towards the switch to turn the lights on/off. To save time, lights can be controlled via the internet of things using the NodeMcu ESP8266. The purpose of making a smart lamp using the NodeMCU ESP8266 is to make it easier to turn it on and off with a smartphone without the need to look for a switch. This smart lamp can be controlled via a virtual button on the Blynk application or based on a set clock. The results obtained from the design of this tool are that the smart lamp will turn on at 8.00 AM and will turn off automatically at 3.00 PM, or by pressing the virtual button on Blynk. There is a slight delay when the lights will turn on or off, this is caused by the strength of the internet from the wifi connected to the ESP8266.
