Abstract

One way of handling caught fish so that freshness is maintained is by lowering the temperature or cooling the temperature of the fish. At low temperatures, the biochemical processes that take place in the fish's body that lead to a decrease in fish quality take place more slowly. In addition, at low temperature conditions the growth of spoilage bacteria in the fish's body can also be slowed down. This study aims to calculate the cooling load on the use of cold room GEA type GAC-245 for fish preservation. With the resulting total cooling load and the percentage of cooling load can be considered in the use of the cold room. The results showed that the total cooling load was 9460 Watt. The biggest cooling load is the product load with a value of 6475 Watt. The infiltration load is quite large in the second order, so to reduce the use of cold storage, efforts are made so that the door does not open too long or too often.

Abstract

Unsafe conditions can cause chronic work stress that will interfere with the performance of Kabal's subordinates (ABK). Guaranteed occupational safety and health will certainly improve performance which in turn will increase work productivity. The purpose of this research is to prove whether there is an effect of knowledge sharing on shipping safety. The research method was carried out using the analytical survey method. The results show that there is an effect of sharing knowledge on shipping safety with a value of P = 0.00.

Abstract

The development of increasingly advanced technology requires the industrial world to carry out the production process quickly and easily by prioritizing quality and quantity. One of the tools that can help the production process (transportation equipment) is a pulley that serves as a means of support to speed up the production process or move goods from one place to another. Main parts of electric pulley include Hoist, Pulley, Trolly. This study describes the design of an electric pulley system that is capable of lifting a load of 2000 kg. With a lifting speed of Hoist 20 m/s, Pulley 10 m/s, Trolly 5 m/s. The results show that the electric pulley drive system design with the above specifications produces a motor power of 61.393 kw Hoist, 30.6971 kw Pulley, 15.3482 kw Trolly.

Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country because most of its territory is surrounded by oceans. This geographical location makes Indonesia need a reliable sea transportation model. One of the sea transportation models used is the ship. Anchor is one of the components in the ship. Ship anchors in general usually consist of chains and ballast. The role of the anchor on the ship is very vital, especially when the ship is anchored. This study aims to calculate the forces acting on the KM anchor chain. Prosperous Dragon III. The results showed that the tensile stress on the anchor chain of Naga Sejahtera III was 161.35 kg/cm2 and on the right chain 138.71 kg/cm2. The bending moment acting on the Naga Sejahtera III ship on the commonlink is 4.33 kg/cm2 , at the endlargelink and endlink is 5 kg/cm2 . The shear stress acting on the anchor chain on the left of the Naga Sejahtera III ship is 80.67 kg/cm2 and on the right chain is 69.35 kg/cm2.

Abstract

The Oil lubricating system is a support system for the main engine for ship main propulsion. The main engine runs for 24 hours non-stop and all the time while sailing so that the support system must function every time. To ensure that the function runs normally, the components in the support system are provided in redundancy or more than one, if one component performance a decrease in function it will automatically be replaced by a second component, this time is used for the first component to carry out maintenance. The problem that occurs in this case is that the panel will automatically activate the 1st pump, and if it is moved to the 2nd pump, the pump will run but only for a minute then it will auto switch to pump 1st again, after observing and several times testing and analyzing the system The root of the problem can be found, which is not in the electrical system but in the mechanical components. The methods used in this mass resolution are case studies and literature reviews. The conclusion obtained is that a system cannot stand alone, be it mechanical or electrical, it is closely related to other components. This article was compiled with the intention of being able to be used by practitioners and students related to problems in the lubricant system in analyzing problems that occur.
