Abstract

Portfolio assessment is an ongoing evaluation based on collecting assignments and information from students to show the progress of competency development over a certain period. The method used in this research is action research, where researchers can be directly involved in improving the quality of lectures, which is reflected in improving students' writing skills. Then the researcher engages in reflection on the problem, collects and analyzes data, and implements changes or an action plan based on the reflection results. The purpose of this study Islam to improve the Arabic writing skills of library science students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta by using portfolio assessment. The research results show that portfolio assessment innovations can improve the writing skills of Library Science students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the approach of perennialism in the development of the curriculum of Islamic religious education. The study uses library research, the object of the study using library data of books and journals as its source of data. The analysis of the study's data is descriptive. The perennial approach to the development of the curriculum of Islamic education consists of three main components: 1) strategic planning; 2) program planning; and 3) velivery plans. Of these three components, the perennial approach is an ideology that supports the evolution of academic curriculam.

Abstract

This research aims to prove the novelty of research related to the implementation of diagnostic tests to improve computational thinking skills based on local wisdom using bibliometric analysis. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research. The data collection technique uses secondary data in the form of literature from the Google Scholar database. Data analysis uses bibliometric analysis with the help of VOSviewer software. The results of this study indicate that the topics of Computational Thinking, Diagnostic Test, and Local Wisdom have not been found research with these topics, so there are opportunities for research by collaborating topics.

Abstract

The use of Wordwall.net media as an evaluation medium in learning Indonesian is considered very suitable. Because it has many templates that can be changed easily by the teacher or teacher and games that have been designed by the teacher. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Researcher used the Wordwall.net media which was used in Indonesian language learning of class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Seririt. Primary data is the result of observations of class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Seririt. Secondary data is scientific writing or previous research regarding the use of educational games Wordwall.net. Wordwall.net can be used anytime and anywhere, not only as a learning medium, but also as a learning evaluation medium. Apart from being free and also without downloading an application, Wordwall.net has a wide variety of games and is very suitable for learning Indonesian. The use of learning media Wordwall.net as an evaluation medium in supporting learning can make it easier for teachers to analyze and obtain learning evaluation results, especially learning Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of smartphone use on the aggressive behavior of elementary school-aged children in Gondanglegi Hamlet during the pandemic. Employing a quantitative approach, structured questionnaires were distributed to 20 children in Gondanglegi Hamlet. The determination of indicators for smartphone uses and aggressive behavior was based on the latest literature, introducing a novel perspective in the research focus. Regression analysis indicated that smartphone usage significantly influences aggressive behavior. Key findings highlight that the most dominant aggressive behaviors resulting from smartphone usage include envy, insults, pushing, and anger. However, a supportive environment can mitigate the adverse effects of smartphone use. These findings are crucial as they provide insights into the behavioral changes in children during the pandemic and serve as a cautionary note for educators and parents to intensify supervision of smartphone use by children. Recommendations from this study are hoped to assist educators and parents in overseeing children's smartphone use.

Abstract

The writing proficiency of Islamic Junior High School (MTs) students falls short of expectations due to limited literacy, time constraints, and a lack of writing material ideas and references. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Experiential approach model in enhancing narrative writing skills among ninth-grade students at MTsN 8 Gunungkidul during the 2022/2023 academic year. Using a one-group pretest-posttest design, 63 students were randomly selected from a population of 158 students, divided into an experimental group (IXC) and a control group (IXE). Data were collected through documentation, tests, and observations and analyzed with various methods. The research results indicate that the use of the Experiential approach model significantly improved students' writing abilities in Inspirational Stories compared to the conventional approach. This research serves as a valuable reference for teachers in selecting effective teaching models and for future studies in the field.

Abstract

Social constructs have shifted women's participation in education. Differences in role and status have placed women at a disadvantage in accessing education. This research aims to describe the urgency of women's education in the era of globalization from the perspective of Siti Walidah. This research is a literature study that adopts a descriptive method with a critical approach. Data processing is done with the framework proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results show that Siti Walidah personally applies Al-Ashr theology where in life she must make the best use of time. Siti Walidah's educational ideas refer to the concept of "Catur Pusat" which combines the four elements: education in the family, school, community, and education in places of worship. This catur pusat concept forms an integrated whole. This thinking led Siti Walidah to pioneer the movement as evidenced by the establishment of Sopo tresno, giving lessons to women from Kauman to learn to read the Qur'an through Wal 'Ashri, and establishing the Maghribi school. Siti Walidah's thoughts and movements that place women as pioneers for advancing civilization are very important and can become a paradigm for women facing the challenges of the globalization era.

Abstract

Students have very diverse backgrounds, so diagnostic assessments are needed in the practice of learning Indonesian at SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Utara. Diagnostic assessments are divided into two, namely non-cognitive diagnostic assessments and cognitive diagnostic assessments. This study is qualitative descriptive research, namely a research method which has the nature of presenting the reality according to the data obtained with the aim of illustrating how effective diagnostic assessment is in differentiated learning. Diagnostic assessments carried out in differentiated learning in Indonesian Language Lessons at SMA Negeri 1 North Kuta are very effective. After carrying out a diagnostic assessment, teachers can create learning that suits the characteristics, interests and abilities of students, relating to processes, content, products and learning environments. The use of diagnostic assessments can increase students' interest in learning Indonesian, because apart from making it easier to understand the material, learning is also tailored to students' readiness, interests and abilities.

Abstract

In connection with efforts to improve people's welfare, it is known as Islamic Philanthropy. The development of Islamic philanthropy in Indonesia is moving fast and still accompanied by technological developments. The purpose of this mini research is to find out how the concept of Islamic philanthropy in Indonesia is to advance people's welfare in the digital transformation era. This writing is a type of qualitative research using the literature study method by taking some data and previous relevant studies in accordance with the object of research. Based on the results of the literature study, it was found that philanthropy in Indonesia is very well known in society. Especially in the digital transformation era that takes advantage of technological developments in the aspect of using social media to invite the public to play an active role in participating in aspects of Islamic philanthropy. Most Islamic philanthropic institutions have used social media to invite the public to issue zakat, alms, infaq and also endowments which will certainly have an impact on people's welfare. Several influencers also took advantage of the media and indirectly campaigned for Islamic philanthropy in Indonesia so that it could be seen by the wider community. The use of social media is the best choice for conveying information to the public, because today they can access information anywhere and anytime with current technological developments.

Abstract

This research examines the management system and dynamics of Al-Muttaqien Pancasila Sakti Islamic boarding school in Karanganom, Klaten, Central Java. This boarding school has played a significant role in the education and development of Indonesian society since the era of the struggle for independence. The background of this research is that traditional Islamic boarding schools have undergone various changes in adapting to the modern era. The objective of this research is to understand how this boarding school manages its operations and identify the dynamics it experiences. This research employs a qualitative approach, collecting data through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research indicate that the management of the boarding school involves structured processes of planning, organization, execution, and supervision. The boarding school has also undergone dynamics in the development of infrastructure, the establishment of formal educational institutions such as MTs and MA, and improvements in teaching methods. This research demonstrates that Al-Muttaqien Pancasila Sakti Islamic boarding school remains relevant in educating Indonesian society. The changes and adaptations made by this boarding school reflect its contribution to education and the development of human resources that align with the demands of the times.
