<![CDATA[Basic literacy is a basic priority or priority scale that needs to be strengthened and stabilized. The cultivation and formation of basic literacy skills is a real manifestation of the mental revolution program, even mental evolution. Therefore, basic literacy needs to be strengthened because it is the foundation for the lives of future generations. Apart from that, the basic literacy movement that is being intensified aims to support the realization of free humans. What is meant by free humans are free humans who can read and write to gain knowledge and use this knowledge for the good and sustainability of their lives. This article discusses the implementation of Community Service in Rangalaka Village, Kotabaru District, Ende Regency, which will take place from 1 to 30 August 2022. The focus of service activities is the implementation of basic literacy activities in the form of tutoring for students in Rangalaka Village, namely Lewoketo Inpres Elementary School and Satap Ligalejo Middle School. Tutoring is focused on elementary and junior high school students to provide knowledge strengthening, instilling a virtuous attitude in students so that they have good knowledge and attitudes in facing their future.]]>

<![CDATA[The partner in this PKM activity is the Pigang Sisan Farmers Group in Ian Tena village, Kewapante District. The results of a survey conducted by the PKM team found problems faced by partners in carrying out cocoa farming, namely a lack of knowledge and skills of farmers in maintaining garden sanitation, controlling pests and diseases, as well as limited inputs. The aim of this community service activity is to increase farmers' knowledge in cocoa cultivation, the production facilities used, cocoa plant pests, organic fertilizers and pesticides and the importance of maintaining sanitation in cocoa gardens. Apart from targeting knowledge to increase, this activity also targets increasing farmers' skills in making organic fertilizers and pesticides, trapping pests and implementing P3S (pruning, fertilizing, frequent harvesting and sanitation). The extension method is method demonstration extension (Demcar). The application of this method is through counseling and training. From the counseling and training that has been carried out, it was obtained that farmers' knowledge increased by 89.2% and skills by 85.1%. The follow-up plan for the service activities that have been carried out is that there is a need for assistance in post-harvest handling of cocoa fruit and sample gardens.]]>

<![CDATA[People's need for food, such as fruit and vegetables, is increasing every year along with population growth. Efforts currently being made to meet the self-sufficient needs of the community's food are by importing, because local products have not been able to meet the food needs of the community due to the not yet optimal level of land productivity in Indonesia so that the hydroponic system is the most appropriate to address food problems because hydroponics is a cultivation system with take advantage of narrow land. The hydroponic training aims to support the introduction of more efficient and sustainable farming methods in the context of limited land and resources and then provide an understanding of farming using the hydroponic method for the people of Candi Baru RT 06/04, Genting village, Boyolali district. The MMK KKN Hydroponic training activities (special mission independent) were held on July 31, 2023. It was held in Dukuh Candi Baru Village, RT 06/04, Kec. Genting district. Boyolali coincided with a local resident's house. The hydroponic technique taught is a simple technique, namely thewick system, plant seeds taught in the hydroponic technique, namely kale, spinach, and bok choy. The results of the questionnaire recap show that the knowledge level of the participants has increased, this is shown by the graph which shows the level of knowledge after the training has increased above 80%. This shows the success of the training carried out by the Mandiri KKN Special Mission UIN Walisongo Semarang for the participants.]]>

<![CDATA[Soil conditions vary from region to region. Some are fertile, while others are less fertile. Factors such as nutrient imbalance, soil depletion, decreased organic content, and microbial activity affect soil fertility. To maintain the balance of soil nutrients and organic matter, it is necessary to add organic fertilizers to harmonize the nutrient content of the soil. Chemical fertilizers only provide one type of plant nutrient without improving soil properties. Socialization of organic fertilizers is needed so that people are wiser in maintaining soil fertility with organic materials. The community service was carried out to provide training and practice in making organic fertilizer from livestock manure and plant residues in Duku Candi Baru, Genting Village, Cepogo District, Boyolali Regency. This service activity uses two approaches, namely counseling and training. The extension stage is carried out by providing material about processing cow dung into organic fertilizer. Training is carried out by demonstrating how to make organic fertilizer in a simple way. This training begins with the socialization of making organic fertilizer and compost, which aims to make the community understand first about information about organic fertilizer and compost along with its benefits, then continued with the practice of making organic fertilizer and compost. This training educates the community about the use of organic waste for organic fertilizer in sustainable agriculture. Through a mixture of simple materials such as cow dung, vegetable waste, EM4, and molasses, it is hoped that the community will use organic fertilizers rather than chemical fertilizers for more environmentally friendly agricultural products.]]>

<![CDATA[This service to the community aims to prove the effectiveness of financial literacy substances delivered, i.e., financial, investment, and retirement planning, to the related people in Badan Pendidikan Kristen (BPK) Penabur Metro in Lampung Province. This is due to their inadequate knowledge, obtained after the Maranatha Christian University team interviewed the chief of BPK Penabur Metro. Furthermore, the questions of Chen and Volpe (1988) are utilized to evaluate the success of this event based on the precise answers (PA). Moreover, their percentage gets statistically compared after and before the material delivery (MD). To deliver materials, the presenters utilize the lecture technique. Besides, the discussion is utilized to answer participants' curiosity about the topics. Based on this statistical examination, the portion of PA after the MD is higher than that before the MD, where the level is 62.45% and 36.58%, respectively. In other words, this service to the community successfully elevates their ability to answer these questions.]]>

<![CDATA[This assistance aims to determine the form and impact of empowering children who are victims of divorce in the Ujung Pangkah Gresik sub-district through online-based processing of seafood towards creative economic independence. From this assistance, it is hoped that it will be able to create economic independence for children who are victims of divorce and it is hoped that it will be able to suppress the destructive potential that befalls children who are victims of divorce. The problem formulation of this assistance is what is the form and impact of Empowering Children of Divorce Victims in Ujung Pangkah Gresik District through Online-Based Sea Product Processing Towards Creative Economy Independence? This assistance uses an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach and is carried out in Ujung Pangkah Gresik District. This assistance involved 15 children who were victims of divorce in Ujung Pangkah Gresik District. It can be concluded that this form of empowerment assistance through making products from marine products in Ujung Pangkah Gresik District is able to provide change for children who are victims of divorce. There are three products produced and marketed, namely crackers, ebi shrimp and fish chunks. The impact of this assistance on children who are victims of divorce is that they have had positive activities so that they no longer track, consume drugs and buskers. Apart from that, this assistance can increase the creative economic independence of children who are victims of divorce.]]>

<![CDATA[The problems found show that there are still some students who have experienced sexual violence committed by those closest to them, causing them to drop out of school due to embarrassment with their school friends. This is certainly a problem that must be addressed and overcome, if left unchecked it will have an impact on their psychological and mental state. So the purpose of this service is to provide education in the form of socialization about sexual violence to students at Bina Utama High School. This activity was carried out using the lecture method in the form of presentations and evaluated using questionnaires given before and after the activity. The results showed that socialization and mentoring activities to students about sexual violence, there was a significant increase in knowledge. Socialization and mentoring are effective in increasing knowledge and changing students' attitudes at Bina Utama Pontianak High School. Therefore, it is recommended that mentoring education on sexual violence in adolescents needs to be improved so that the younger generation is protected from sexual violence.]]>

<![CDATA[Sungaibuntu is a village in West Java. Health facilities in Sungaibuntu are not adequate, this village does not have clinic and a doctor's practice, this can be a gap in the community's lack of understanding of the importance of maintaining health, one of which is Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Therefore, providing education and screening for diabetes mellitus is important as an effort to detect these diseases. The aim of this activity is to increase public knowledge and understanding regarding risk factors, early detection and self-management so that DM can be prevented and treated well. The stages of activities that will be carried out include providing DM education, measuring BMI, measuring blood pressure, and measuring blood glucose levels. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge before and after being given DM education, while the screening results showed that 47.9% of participants were obese, 60.6% of participants had high blood pressure, and 18.3% of participants had high blood glucose levels at the time of measurement. DM education and screening can increase public knowledge and understanding regarding prevention, management, complications and good self-management. In this case, the role of the patient, family and related parties is needed so that the impact of DM can be minimized.]]>

<![CDATA[Pneumonia, a severe respiratory disease, can have deadly consequences. Increased air pollution in Jakarta can increase the risk of respiratory tract diseases, including Pneumonia. The risk of Pneumonia infection in adults can be reduced by vaccination. The Pharmacy Department of the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia held an in-depth seminar on Pneumonia and vaccination to provide information and invite all people to understand the urgency of vaccination. Educational activities are conducted as online seminars using a video conferencing platform. Two speakers gave interactively educational information about Pneumonia and vaccination, and more than 60 people attended the seminar. Demographic data on participants shows that the gender of most participants was female, the age of most participants was 26-45 years old, and the education level of most participants was university level. Of the participants who attended, as many as 63.7% had never been vaccinated against Pneumonia, and 68.1% were willing to be vaccinated against Pneumonia. In conclusion, this seminar successfully increased the knowledge and awareness of the public about Pneumonia and vaccination.]]>

<![CDATA[Stunting is one of the issues in the health sector that is the focus of government programs. This is an urgent need for efforts to prevent stunting through nutritional education. Until now, the form of health service at posyandu is still just measuring height and weight, even though improving posyandu services can be done more than that, especially in preventing stunting through nutrition education. The service aims to improve posyandu health services. Improving services also requires tools that make it easier to provide nutrition education which will be carried out by posyandu cadres by designing an Android-based nutrition education application. The stages of implementing the nutrition education service are: (1) assisting cadres and parents so that this nutrition education can be implemented at Posyandu Melati 3 Baturejo Village and (2) creating a nutrition education application according to needs that make it easier for posyandu cadres and parents as a form of help Posyandu service facilities. The nutrition education application makes it easier for posyandu cadres and parents because the application only needs to input height and weight then the nutritional status will appear and nutrition education will appear in the form of food recommendations that match nutritional status. This application can improve health by preventing stunting.]]>
