Abstract

The problem of plastics - if left alone, will not rot because they are difficult to decompose and will cause environmental damage, such as flooding and environmental pollution of water and soil. Inorganic waste management can be done in various ways, one of which is through creative ideas, such as in Jetis village, Purbalingga Regency has a way to solve the problem of plastic, which is used as a paving block. This study aims to determine the process of managing plastic waste for paving blocks at “UD. Wong Cilik ”Jetis Village, Kemangkon District, Purbalingga Regency. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. research data as well as in-depth interviews, observation, namely non-participatory observation, and documentation. The research location was conducted in Jetis Village, Kemangkon District, Purbalingga Regency. The technique of taking informants was purposive sampling. The data analysis technique in this study used an interactive analysis model of Milles and Habberman. The result of this research is the beginning of "UD. Wong Cilik "was founded in 2005. The waste management carried out in Jetis Village is based on environmental considerations because it has not received assistance for TPS (temporary shelter), so finally KN has an innovative idea to create a business that utilizes plastic waste produced every day by Jetis villagers. This inorganic waste from plastic is managed into a more valuable item, namely paving blocks. The obstacle in this process is the lack of a furnace as a combustion process. The conclusion of this research is that the plastic waste management process is an innovation to solve the problem of plastic waste by making plastic waste into paving blocks.

Abstract

This scientific study aims to determine the application of the zoning system from an educational perspective. The research was conducted using qualitative methods. The perspectives raised were the perspectives of students and teachers from favorite and not favorite schools. The results showed that the students 'and teachers' perspectives on the zoning system included: 1) the zoning system equalized access to education services; 2) the zoning system increases the spirit of teaching teachers; 3) the zoning system restricts students from choosing the desired school; 4) the zoning system causes weak students to miss lessons; 5) the zoning system causes smart students to have no challenges to improve achievement; 6) the zoning system increases the teaching load of teachers. The application of the zoning system must always be evaluated and improved in order to realize the quality of education. The implementation of the zoning system must also be accompanied by equal distribution of public schools, school infrastructure, teacher resources, and educational assistance. Schools need to implement strategies in dealing with the zoning system through programs for developing student academic and non-academic potential, developing teacher competencies, and developing school culture.

Abstract

his paper aims to see the formation of social movements in Malang addressing social issues in Malang. Some of the movements that become the focus of this paper are the Malang Care Community or ASLI Malang and Social and Humanist Society in Malang. Interestingly, the communities are doing their activities online and using social media as the main instrument of movement. If in general online media based-communities are only informative, it is different with Malang. Here the communities perform real actions such as social activities. For examples: social aids for victims of natural disasters, street children, poor people who need help, and other problems. Last but not least is the emergence of free motorcycle-taxi riders that arose due to the protest of angkot (city transport) drivers toward online motorcycle taxi resulting in an angkot drivers’ strike. The movement was able to collect motorcycle-rider volunteers up to 700 motorcycles and 80 cars. The 4 days activity was the culmination of the social community awakening which arises in response to socio-dynamic in society The emergence of various social communities is the marker of the rise of civilian powers and the strengthening of non-state actors. The social community as a form of movement becomes an alternative for civil society to engage in social issues, rather than to join political organizations such as political parties or interest groups whose main interests are political interests. Charles Tilly (2004) defines social movements as an organized public collective effort to make certain claims to the intended authorities. Sidney Tarrow (2004) explains that social movements are generally born from social problems that lead to contentious. The orientation of social movements is to create a world order of social justice. Furthermore, in data collection, the authors conducted in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. By using social movement perspective, the main argument in this paper is, first, social media is the social community's main strategy for activism. Second, the pattern of social movements that arise is departing from social concerns of civil society in the city of Malang in view of social issues. Third, the formation of activism conducted by the social community in the City of Malang City aims to respond to social problem

Abstract

The success or failure of the Adiwiyata program implementation will be primarily determined by the level of student participation as learning subjects in schools. For student care and participation to be well-formed following Adiwiyata goals, school programs that support environmental education are needed through extracurricular, extracurricular activities, and school development programs. This study aims to find whether there is a relationship between student ecological concern and the type of Adiwiyata activity with the level of student participation either partially or simultaneously in the Adiwiyata program at SMP Negeri 1 Jatilawang. The method used in this research is a survey method using a questionnaire as the main instrument for collecting data. The population in this study was 809 students of SMP Negeri 1 Jatilawang Banyumas, with a total sample of 89 students. The bivariate analysis uses Kendall's Tau Correlation (τ) or Tau from Kendall, while the multivariate use Kendall's W concordat coefficient. The results show that the positive correlation coefficient is 0.757; this indicates that the student's environmental awareness variable (X1) has a strong relationship. "On student participation in the Adiwiyata program (Y). The variable of environmental activity type (X2) has a positive correlation coefficient of 0.824, which means it has an "extreme" level of closeness to student participation in the Adiwiyata program (Y). The two independent variables (X) are simultaneously related to the dependent variable (Y), as seen from the asymp-sig number, which is smaller than alpha 0.05. This study concludes that the variable of student participation in the Adiwiyata program at SMP Negeri 1 Jatilawang can be explained by students' environmental concerns and types of environmental activities, or in other words, it can be concluded that the variables of student environmental concern and types of ecological activities and types of environmental movements in This research has a positive correlation either partially or together significantly to the variable of student participation in the Adiwiyata program.

Abstract

Plastic is a material that is often found in everyday life, both for household needs, offices, agriculture/plantations, industry, etc. One type of plastic that is commonly used is polycarbonate plastic (polycarbonate / PC). The main ingredient in polycarbonate plastics is a compound 2,2-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) propane known as bisphenol A (BPA). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of natural antioxidants on the testicular weight of adult male mice exposed to the chemical compounds that make up the plastic. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with six treatments and five replications. The treatments included two control groups and four other groups treated with plastic boiled water and natural antioxidants. Plastic boiled water and antioxidants were given orally to 0.25 ml of male mice every day during the study. Quantitative data were analyzed using ANOVA and BNT. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the provision of natural antioxidants for 21 days in mice (Mus musculus) exposed to plastic chemical compounds has an effect on decreasing the testicular weight of male mice in K (-) treatment / negative control. Based on data analysis through statistical tests that have been carried out, the series of natural antioxidant treatments for mice exposed to plastic chemical compounds for 21 days did not significantly affect the testicular weight of mice.

Abstract

The waste problem has become an environmental issue in all parts of the world, including the State of Indonesia, especially Banyumas Regency. Waste management in Banyumas Regency has changed, a new paradigm. Starting from the difficulty of land for final processing sites (TPA) to dispose of waste, Banyumas Regency has changed the way it manages its waste. Waste management, which was originally collected-transport-dispose of, was changed in accordance with statutory regulations, namely having to sort the waste from its source. Waste sorting must be carried out in addition to aiming to reduce dependence on large landfills which are now difficult to provide and to achieve the target of the Banyumas District Regional Strategy Policy (Jakstrada), which is to set a target of reducing waste by 30% and handling waste by 70% by 2025. Target A 30% reduction in waste can be achieved by sorting waste by establishing several hangars as centers for sorting community waste. Banyumas Regency has established 5 (five) hangars in 5 (five) areas, namely the Ajibarang hangar, the Sumbang hangar, the Wangon hangar, the Kedungrandu hangar and the Sumpiuh hangar. Waste sorting using the hangar system was chosen because the community considered direct waste sorting to fail, reflecting on the various waste sorting programs that have existed in Indonesia. The hangar establishment in Banyumas Regency aims to provide an example of direct sorting of waste to the community. Activities in the hangar are sorting waste from the community who are its customers with the aim of educating the public about sorting waste so that waste problems can be resolved from the source. Hangar activities carry out reuse, reduce and recycle waste, so that the waste disposed of in the TPA is really residual waste that cannot be used anymore. Based on the research, the hangar actually does sorting of waste but it is not as expected by the Banyumas Regency Government, namely, the residual waste disposed of to the TPA from all hangar activities is still very high, on average above 70% of the total waste that enters the hangar, and The target of reducing waste by 30% by sorting the new waste was achieved at 18.33%.

Abstract

This experiment investigated various substrate growth of bamboo stems microbes (BSM) in rice straw fermentation and its effect on dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD), NH3-N and VFA concentration. Materials were rumen fluid of beef cattle from the slaughterhouse. Basal diets consisted of rice straw and concentrate with ratio of 40 : 60 (% dry matter) were administered to five treatments namely P0 = untreated rice straw (control), P1 = Ammoniated rice straw, fermented rice straw using microbial bamboo stems grown on ammoniated rice straw (P2), rice bran (P3) and cassava waste (P4). The experiment used in vitro method was designed with Completely Randomized Design and the data were analyzed variance. The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect on dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD), NH3-N and VFA concentration (P>0,05). The fermentation process of microbial bamboo stems in rice straw with a level of 10% with different substrate did not able to increase the digestibility and products fermentation, but there tends that the rice bran and substrates can increase DMD and N-NH3 concentration
