Abstract

Bogor city is included in the region with high rainfall with an average annual rainfall of 3.500 – 4.000 mm so that the potential for rainwater harvest. This research was conducted to plan the volume of rainwater reservoirs that can be applied at the scale of Villa Citra Bantarjati housing units and design simple filtration tools to improve the physical quality of rainwater that can be used to support domestic needs. This study was conducted using primary data covering the area of roofs used in rainwater harvesting as well as secondary data in the form of maximum rainfall data in the last 15 years. Water quality testing is conducted by physical quality test of rainwater before and after passing the design of a simple filter tool to produce water quality that meets class II water quality standards. The area of the roof used to catch rainwater is 25 m2, so the average volume of availability accommodated in rainwater reservoirs is 155,31 lt/day with a water loss factor due to runoff of 20%. The capacity of rainwater reservoirs that meet domestic water needs is 330 lt. The design of this simple filter is able to improve the physical quality of rainwater with a predetermined arrangement of filter media.

Abstract

The demand of concrete has increased in Indonesia. A reinforced concrete innovation being developed is Textile Reinforced Concrete (TRC). Ramie fiber has great potential to be used as a construction material because it has advantages over other natural fibers, such as tensile strength properties. The research aims to analyzed flexural behaviour of Ramie fiber TRC. This research was conducted from February until June 2021 at IPB University. The research was carried out through several stages, that are testing of TRC materials, mix design, weaving and coating ramie fiber, manufacturing and curing test objects, and testing. The flexural behavior analyzed flexural strength, stiffness, ductility, and crack behavior. Ramie fiber reinforcement can improve the elasticity and ductility of mortar plates. However, woven ramie fiber with a certain woven pattern can reduce flexural strength. Coating ramie fiber with Unsaturated Polyester Resin (UPR) provides an increase in flexural strength, elastic properties, and ductility. Phases of crack behaviour of UPR-coated are uncracked, crack formation, crack stabilization, and failure. The woven pattern that produces the highest flexural strength is the two-axis woven pattern for UPR-coated ramie, which is 7.84 MPa.

Abstract

The issuance of SNI 1726:2019 indicates that the planning has passed a certain transition period so that the existing regulations will no longer apply. The planning that has been made for the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) buildings still uses the standards that were previously in place. This study aims to analyze the performance of structures in CRC buildings with spectrum response analysis methods based on SNI 1726:2019. The research method is carried out in several stages, starting from data collection, structure modeling, loading analysis, structure conformity analysis, and structure performance check. Modeling of CRC building structures is done based on the image of as built drawing contractors. Calculation of loading on building structures includes gravitational and lateral loads. The amount of mass participation obtained has been more than 90%, while the value of the period of structure and dynamic basic shear force has been controlled so that it meets the requirements in accordance with SNI 1726:2019. Based on the drift ratio value, the performance level of the CRC buildings is Immediate Occupancy (IO). The result of checking the influence of P-Delta obtained θ value does not exceed θmaks so that it can be categorized as safe.

Abstract

Increasing population has an impact on increasing food supply to fulfil the requirement of the community. Increasing in food supply is able to be achieved by increasing the agricultural productive area. Low-water agricultural technology is one of technology can be applied in the development of agricultural areas with sufficient water availability. But on the other hand, water harvesting technology using pond is one approach in the development of agricultural land in dry areas. This study uses a geographic information system (GIS) approach to identify areas that have high potential for the development of water harvesting ponds in East Java Province, Indonesia. GIS approaches is used for spatial analysis in calculating the area potential index for the ponds deveopment based on climate, physical surface and vegetation indicators. This index is calculated based on indicators, each of which is obtained from the surface parameter data. The results of the study show that the East Java Province is categorized as the "very suitable" and "appropriate" areas on water harvesting ponds suitability by 55% and 23%, respectively. This results show that the potential of the East Java area for developing water harvesting pond is very high about 78% compared with the entire region. On the other hand, locations that is categorized as "not suitable" and "very inappropriate" are about 8.7% and 9.2% compared with total area of East Java Province. Iit can be concluded that climate, physical surface and vegetation indicators are very important in determining the locations of water harvesting ponds development in East Java Province.

Abstract

Everyone needs water to his life and his activity. Groundwater pollution is one of the problems in Indonesia. The increasing number of the show an increase water needs. They were filled with groundwater needs. There has been decreasing groundwater that is occupied in quantity and quality. The research was done in Jakarta, consisting of 42 sub-district. Research takes into account the condition of the dry season. Uses index research quality of groundwater pollution. Monitoring parameter groundwater consisting of physics, chemical and biology paramater. The research consists of determining the pollution index in Jakarta, analysis of groundwater pollution, and predicted entanglement with an index pollution population density. The research uses spatial interpolation to determine locations. Pollution index calculation used calculation storet. The measurement results in the rate used in the analysis index groundwater pollution. The research results obtained index value has increased pollution are on the north and central of Jakarta. The research results obtained East Jakarta having the condition geology that porous. The value of the groundwater pollution index was in north Jakarta. The results of the study indicated by a map pollution index the quality of groundwater during three periods. Index pollution in Jakarta consisting of pollution until the same as the quality standard. Research shows the absence of correlation with the population with the pollution groundwater quality.
