Abstract

In Indonesia, especially the use of mortar is very popular. Where in constructing a concrete construction, mortar is always used as part of a construction. But the process of making mortar mixtures is sometimes less true in making mixed society in terms of economics and quality. Based on the description, the authors are interested to conduct research on the influence of variation of mix mortar composit ion on compressive strength, with two samples of cement type. Mortar uses mortar from Semen Gresik and from Semen Holcim without any additional materials. research shows that the increasing composition of sand, the compressive strength of mortar decreases. Where the compressive strength of mortar at 28 days for mixed composition variation using Semen Gresik 1: 4 of 9.5 Mpa; 1: 5 of 11.68 MPa; 1: 6 of 7.86 MPa and 1: 7 of 5.31. Whereas the compressive strength value for mortar using Semen Holcim was 13.38 Mpa, respectively; 12,95 Mpa; 7.65 Mpa and 3.19 Mpa. The result of water absorption on the mortar by adding the amount of sand will result in a greater decrease in the compressive strength of each mortar variation. So that the mixture of plaster walls or specimens to adhere the recommen ded flooring and mortar walls of simple mortar is a mixture composition with the ratio of cement: sand 1: 5 for Semen Gresik and 1: 4 and 1: 5 for Holcim Cement.

Abstract

Hypertension is caused by an abnormal increase in blood pressure beyond normal values, namely systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg measured at least twice in a sitting position. Hypertension indicates the occurrence of hemodynamic imbalance in the cardiovascular system caused by several aspects or multi-aspects and difficult to detect with one aspect only Methods: Hypertension detected during a physical examination is caused by certain diseases, so it is referred to as "The Silent Killer" because it often appears without symptoms. Elderly is someone who has entered the age of ≥60 years. Result: The elderly are at high risk of degenerative diseases, one of which is hypertension because the elderly will experience the aging process that causes changes in the body's work system such as cardiovascular. As we get older, the walls of blood vessels tend to be more rigid and their elasticity will decrease so that blood is forced to pass through narrow blood vessels and result in hypertension. Conclusion: Factors that often cause hypertension are divided into two factors such as gender, age, genetics and factors that can be changed such as diet, stress, obesity, physical activity, and smoking.

Congestion in the nose and sinus drainage will make it difficult for sufferers to sleep. Allergic rhinitis can affect the quality of sleep sufferers. The Type of this research is analytic observational study with cross sectional design. Population affordable of this research was all of the Medical Faculty students of Baiturrahmah University Class 2019 as many as 145 people with taking sample use technique simple random sampling. Data analysis used univariate analysis is presented in the form of distribution frequency and analysis bivariate use test spearman rho. There are 88 students or 60,7 % of students of the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University Batch 2019 suffered from allergic rhinitis of all students, with the most allergic rhinitis were women as many as 30 students (36.6%). The most common clinical symptom was sneezing, which were 76 students (86.4%). There were 2 students with allergic rhinitis with good sleep quality (2.4%) and allergic rhinitis with bad quality of sleep obtained as many as 39 students (47.6%). Based on the analysis of the hypothesis test, the p-value was 0.000 (p>0.05), r=0,597, dan OR =30,469. There is relation between allergic rhinitis and quality of sleep of Medical Faculty students of Baiturrahmah University Class 2019. Conclusions: Medical Faculty students of Baiturrahmah University Class 2019 suffering from allergic rhinitis experience decrease sleep quality.

Abstract

This comprehensive review aims to analyze and synthesize the existing literature on bias in AI algorithms, providing a thorough understanding of the challenges, methodologies, and implications associated with biased artificial intelligence systems.Employing a narrative synthesis and systematic literature review approach, this study systematically explores a wide array of sources from prominent databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect. The inclusion criteria focused on studies that distinctly defined artificial intelligence in the education sector, were published in English, and underwent peer-review. Five independent reviewers meticulously evaluated search results, extracted pertinent data, and assessed the quality of included studies, ensuring a rigorous and comprehensive analysis. The synthesis of findings reveals pervasive patterns of bias in AI algorithms across various domains, shedding light on the nuanced aspects of discriminatory practices. The systematic review highlights the need for continued research, emphasizing the intricate interplay between bias, technological advancements, and societal impacts. The comprehensive analysis underscores the complexity of bias in AI algorithms, emphasizing the critical importance of addressing these issues in future developments. Recognizing the limitations and potential consequences, the study calls for a concerted effort from researchers, developers, and policymakers to mitigate bias and foster the responsible deployment of AI technologies. Based on the findings, recommendations include implementing robust bias detection mechanisms, enhancing diversity in AI development teams, and establishing transparent frameworks for algorithmic decision-making. The implications of this study extend beyond academia, informing industry practices and policy formulations to create a more equitable and ethically grounded AI landscape.
