Abstract

A graphic company can operate well if there is no waste in terms of material, time or process, it is necessary to have PPC in the scheduling department, which can calculate processing time, use process time and monitor production orders. The problem that occurs is scheduling that is not in accordance with the scheduling plan that has been made by the scheduling department, it is necessary to review the scheduling problem and the causes of the discrepancy with the planned scheduling plan. Analysis of the problem using the DMAIC method to identify problems, the FCFS method to calculate the production time delay, there is a delay of 348 minutes or 58 minutes for each job. The TQC method with the 5S method looks at the quality of the production operator. The causal diagram method and the 5W-1H method look for problems that must be resolved immediately, then the causes of delays are found and are not in accordance with the MRT and downtime scheduling plans due to the following factors: A. Production workflow is not clear, b. Incompetent workforce, c. The condition of the engine is problematic, d. Incompatibility of the print production process scheduling plan. Company leaders need to conduct training and understanding of print quality standards in terms of efficiency and time effectiveness. Abstract

The printing process in principle is a stage of transferring ink from the printing reference to the printed material with a certain printing speed and pressure. This study discusses the brochure printing process, the causes of ghosted prints, and how to handle the shaded prints. Oka Printing is a company engaged in the printing sector, where the production results produce quality prints in the form of printed products. One of the printed results in the form of this brochure is a tangible proof of the Oka Printing Company to produce a quality printed product.Data collection techniques in this study were carried out in several ways, namely interviews or discussions in the field with parties related to the company, direct observations in the field and collecting references that helped in the preparation of this research. From the observations, it was found how the brochure printing process with a 4-color GTO 52 offset printing machine, the causes of ghosting, and how to handle ghosting.

Abstract

The color deviation that occurs during the printing process is one of the problems often encountered in the graphics. This is very detrimental in terms of cost, time and energy. To know the color deviation, you can measure the L*a*b* value of the print. The offset printing process is used in this deviation analysis of L*a*b* value. When the technical specifications relate to paper, ink, machines, techkon measuring instruments and milk packaging products The machine used is the Heidelberg Speedmaster machine where there are four stages of operation, namely the preparation of machine, machine setting, ACC color and production in many quantities. The instrument used to measure the deviation of L*a*b* value or ΔE value of the milk packaging is Techkon. The value of L*a*b* for special colors as a reference is taken from the color gamut, i.e. at minimum L*: 20.21, a*: 7.09, b*: -40.19, standard L*: 18.69, a*: 9.77, b*: -42.63, maximum L *: 18.41, a*: 11.16, b*: -43.65, and the maximum value of ΔE* ab is 2.50. The factors that cause deviation are the thickness of the ink layer and the color reflection from the paper surface. Giving an ink layer less / thin, the resulting color tends to match the reflection of the paper surface, giving a thicker ink layer can cause the print to set off and the color to deviate from the color range.Keywords— Deviation, L*a*b* value, Milk Packaging

Abstract

The printing industry is an industry that focuses on printing results. Controlling the consistency of print colors is a very important matter in order to be able to produce a package through printed packaging with good quality. Some aspects that affect color consistency are wetting water and engine maintenance, besides that there are still many aspects that have an effect. Good quality is seen from several factors and one of them is the color of the print. To produce good print quality, it is necessary to maintain color consistency during the printing process in order to minimize the possibility of printing out of color range. This study aims to find the factors that influence the consistency of the color of the packaging print. Descriptive method is used in this research, with the approach of field observations and in-depth interviews. Analysis of the results using the Fishbone diagram. The findings that have been recorded are several findings, both in print aspects, aspects that affect print color and problems controlling the consistency of print colors. Print aspects that need to be considered are colors, registers, and text. Aspects that affect the color of the print are wetting water, printing ink, machine, and ink roll. factors that must be considered in order to create a quality printed packaging that is consistent with color, including man, machine, material, method, measurement, and environment factors. Abstract

Tinta ofset merupakan jenis tinta yang memiliki viskositas yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan jenis tinta lain sehingga disebut dengan tinta pasta. Sifat- sifat yang dihasilkan oleh tinta tergantung kepada konsentrasi bahan penolong yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik subtrate. Dilakukan penetapan formula tinta ofset cyan untuk dijadikan sebagai panduan dalam pembuatan tinta. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi dan pengujian laboratorium. Sampel dibuat sebanyak empat macam (T1, T2, T3, T4), kemudian diproof pada absorb paper berupa art carton, art paper, duplek front, duplek back. Pengujian yang dilakukan antara lain density, gloss, rub resistance, drying test, blocking test, dan skinning on the table. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa T4 yang terdiri dari 93,5% base tinta, 4% wax, 1% dryer, 1,5% special dryer merupakan formula terbaik dengan hasil rata rata nilai yaitu gloss 29.8, density 1.8, rub resistance 3, drying test 1.7  , blocking test 3.75, dan skinning lebih dari 10 jam.
