Abstract

This study aims to determine how the visionary leadership of the madrasah principal in improving teacher professionalism at MAN 2 Padang Lawas. This research seeks to explain how the visionary leadership of the madrasah principal in improving teacher professionalism at MAN 2 Padang Lawas. The method used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used observation techniques, interviews, and documentation study techniques to obtain valid data about the visionary leadership of the madrasah principal in improving teacher professionalism at MAN 2 Padang Lawas located on Jl. Sibuhuan-Old Mountain No. 96, Binanga Kec. Barumun Tengah, Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra. The results of the study found that the visionary leadership of the madrasah principal in improving teacher professionalism at MAN 2 Padang Lawas can be seen from the ability of the madrasah principal to realize an advanced and anticipatory madrasa by doing various ways, including preparing the madrasa vision and mission that was agreed upon by the entire community, holding activities to improve the competence and profession of teachers, conduct activities to increase the competence and talents of students' interests, conduct environmental activities for Adiwiyata madrasas, use the latest curriculum in accordance with regulations and by establishing collaborative networks with various agencies. Then it can be seen from the innovative ability of the madrasah principal to improve teacher professionalism at MAN 2 Padang Lawas by doing: first formulating new ideas in the field of teacher professionalism, second, madrasa principals carry out classroom supervision, third: creating a conducive work culture and climate, then build togetherness and kinship by inviting teachers to do positive activities usually done after the end of the semester or the end of the year.

Abstract

The School Literacy Movement (GLS) which is being promoted by the MTsN 2 Medan school which aims to increase students' interest in books, even if it is only a sheet and frees them to read any book. However, not all students are enthusiastic about reading literacy, even though the school has made extracurriculars based on reading and writing. The research method used was descriptive research using a survey approach. The subjects studied were all students at MTsN 2 Medan from grades VI, VII, XI, however, it was narrowed down to 30 people, with 10 samples taken at each grade level. Collecting data in the study was carried out by interview, observation, and documentation methods. The data obtained in this study were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis and focused on using the Miles & Huberman model which consisted of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the reading literacy activities carried out by MTsN 2 Medan schools provide good results and the growing interest in reading and writing of students. 'an. And the school also makes every class and corner of the school in the form of slogans that are easy for students to read and each class is provided with bookshelves that make it easier for students to read.

Abstract

This research was carried out in MAN 2 Payakumbuh with the type of blind crew members. This study aims to determine the role of guidance counselling teachers in developing students’ social dimensions, starting with the adjustment process at school. This study uses descriptive-qualitative with the purpose of descriptive-analytic method about the role of guidance counselling teachers in developing the social dimension for ABK in three inclusive schools. The results showed that: First; social and emotional problems are basic problems for special needs, secondly; in providing guidance counselling services, guidance counselling teachers provide classical and group services by building social awareness and empathy for all students and other school residents, Third; the development of social interest is marked by the collection of monthly zakat and infaq of teachers and staff for underprivileged students, including children with special needs studying at UNP Padang and IAIN Bukittinggi.

Abstract

One of the modern Islamic reformers in Indonesia is Nurcholish Madjid. The focus of this research is to find out the style of thought of Nurcholis Madjid regarding religious pluralism. The aims of this study are to (1) describe the style of Nurcholis Madjid’s thought related to religious pluralism, (2) open new insights regarding modern Islamic views, and (3) describe the contributions and controversies of Nurcholis Madjid’s thoughts regarding religious pluralism. This study uses a descriptive-comparative research approach. The results of this study indicate that there are three thoughts of Nurcholis Madjid about religious pluralism. First, according to him, religious pluralism is an understanding that recognizes the existence of other religions and is mature in dealing with diversity. Second, Nurcholish Madjid's idea of religious pluralism is a religious principle that recognizes freedom of religion, living with risks that will be borne by each believer. Third, according to Nurcholish Madjid, religious pluralism in Islam is not based on the doctrine of assuming that all religions are true, but Islam only gives recognition to the extent of each individual's right to exist in harmony with the freedom to practice their respective religions to realize a tolerant life in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the use of social media, namely utilizing Instagram features in the delivery of Islamic material, so that this can make Instagram an innovation in Islamic digital learning media. This is motivated by the rapid development of technology in the 4.0 era that requires an educator to be able to use it in the teaching and learning process. This type of research is qualitative research with the chosen approach method being virtual ethnography. Data was collected using documentation and observation on several accounts on Instagram that met the parameters. Data analysis was carried out through the first stages of data reduction, then data presentation, and finally concluding. The results of the study show that the features provided by Instagram can be used as learning media innovations and this is believed to make learning Islamic Religious Education more interesting because the material is presented using different media and ways than usual. Instastory features, feeds, reels, highlights, and Instagram live are some of the Instagram features that can be used as learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of using Edmodo learning media on learning outcomes, the effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes, and the interaction between Edmodo learning media and learning motivation on Fiqh learning outcomes for students of class VIII MTsN 2 Medan. This type of research is a quantitative study with a population of all eighth-grade students consisting of 10 classes (401 students). Based on the Cluster Random Sampling technique, one class is used as a learning class with Edmodo media and another without Edmodo media. The research instruments used were tests and questionnaires. The normality test for learning outcomes data is the Liliefors test, and the homogeneity test is Fisher's and Bartlett’s tests. The data analysis technique used two-way ANOVA at significant = 0.05. The study’s results revealed an influence of Edmodo learning media on students' fiqh learning outcomes, where students' fiqh learning outcomes with Edmodo learning media were higher (26.22) than students' non-Edmodo learning media fiqh learning outcomes (23.25). The influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes obtained fiqh learning outcomes of students with high learning motivation was higher (27.12) than that of students with low learning motivation (22.03). While the interaction between learning media and learning motivation on students' fiqh learning outcomes through the results of the 2 x 2 ANOVA factorial calculation, the interaction factor value F = 9.113 and the P-Value = 0.004 smaller than 0.05. Thus there is an interaction between learning media and learning motivation on students' fiqh learning outcomes at MTsN 2 Medan.

Abstract

In facing the challenges of the era of Society 5.0, improving the quality of human resources is influenced by the vital role of education. One way to increase the effectiveness of talent in facing the challenges of society 5.0 is to capitalize on the needs of the labor market through recruitment. Through recruitment, an organization or institution can choose an employee who qualified according to existing criteria or characteristics to fill certain required positions. One of the programs available at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training in question is the implementation of the recruitment of educators for Extraordinary Lecturers (Dosen Luar Biasa-LB Lecturer). This is the background for the author to study more deeply about planning management and the recruitment process as well as the direction of the policy for determining LB Lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The research in this article uses a qualitative descriptive method with field study techniques, interviews, and a literature study. The results of this study found that: first, the planning process for the recruitment of LB lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training starts with analyzing the needs of lecturers, which will be outlined and followed up by the Faculty leadership. Second, the recruitment process for LB lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training is carried out by disseminating information on lecturer needs, receiving lecturer application data with administrative requirements, carrying out a scheduled selection process with CBT exam stages, interviews and displays of Microteaching. Third, the policy direction for determining the results of the recruitment and selection of LB lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training is to get superior lecturers who are qualified according to the needs of the Faculty
