Abstract

Based on observations found that there are not many studies that can explain clearly about the factors that cause students to mix codes. Though the factors that cause students to mix codes are important to be known by language lecturers and for lecturers who teach on campus. Based on these observations it is necessary to conduct research on code mixing. Research on code mixing in the study will be conducted at STAB Maitreyawira with a sample of research that is STAB Maitreyawira students. The method in this study is a qualitative method. The languages ​​used in mixing codes at STAB Maitreyawira are Indonesian, Malay, Mandarin, English, Mandarin and Jakarta dialect Malay. Then the students understand the code mix they do. Then, the factors that cause code mixing among STAB Maitreyawira students are as follows: the desire to look great, the topic or topic, the situation factor, the language factor on YouTube, the language factor on Facebook, and the factors to be more familiar with friends.

Abstract

Based on observations it was found that learning through the barongsai dance game can increase creativity in early childhood. This is proved by the increase in the percentage of creativity from before the action up to the second it proved by the increasing of creativity percentage before the teaching learning process until reach the cycle II, cycle I reached 51,02% or 25 children and the increaty of creativity on cycle II reached 81, 63 % or 40 children. This is because the barongsai dance stimulates children to think creatively, children have good attention to the learning process, children are able to organize their abilities or practice self-confidence in stimulate their imagination, improve their physical skill and gross motor skills so it can produce original games.

Abstract

Education as a sub-system of the world must adapt, connect, and be compatible with the directions of the strategic environmental tendencies. Education was seen as an interdisciplinary context and a multidimensional development factor with human beings become both goals and instruments. Through education, the existence and the nature of human beings are constantly studied and explored from various disciplinary perspectives. Human beings as creatures and subjects of education that must be improved by quality and behavior through the transformation of moral education, and as a development instrument, that means human beings as developmental behavior that must have high ability, moral ethics, and high character to participate in the nation and state development. The needs of educational reforms that will bring a major impact on life bring us a new atmosphere of change that drives us to build new cultures, new civilizations, new life values, ​​and the new morality, organized a more civilized education of the future, by returning to nature, life balance, harmonization, naturalism, and love. Implementation of the concept: "Aesthetic Education of Humanity" will change the old paradigm to the new paradigm.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the creation of miniature Buddhist places of worship for Buddhists to enhance the creativity of Buddhist Sunday School (BSS) students. This research used a classroom action research method. The use of classroom action research was to train students’ memory and response to encourage the curiosity towards the learning material with the help of three-dimensional media so that students could develop their imagination in collaborating their creative ideas into objects that can be seen and touched. The results of the study show that students were interested and enthusiastic to come to BSS with interesting learning so that students can pay attention to the material more maximally. The motivation of the students to take action to make miniature with their imagination increased. This can be seen from the way students form, color, and combine the existing materials to form the desired miniature media and to improve the understanding of the material delivered to make the students’ memory better.

Abstract

Buddhist Sunday School Education (SMB) is very closely related to the physical-motor development of SMB students who have a very broad understanding. SMB education has been provided with a good curriculum, shown with real evidence (with practice and has a purpose), service educators who are responsible by using the heart, and have responsive students. In addition, the use of teaching aids that are appropriate to the development of the situation, delivery methods that are on target, adequate environmental conditions, and material that is easily digested by students in accordance with the times, so that all can be conveyed properly in accordance with the physical-motor development of the participants SMB students by providing optimal results in the form of changes in student behavior. Therefore education must be able to understand changes in student behavior and provide results with the quality of students as expected by parents. SMB education that has vision, mission and quality in the eyes of parents is very important in attracting SMB students to continue learning and help the process of learning and harmony between students and educators so that there will be changes in student behavior. Thus SMB education is expected to have a positive effect on the physical-motor development of SMB students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the performance of the teachers at SD Metta Maitreya which are still not professional, there are still scores of students under the KKM, and a lack of organizational commitment to school teachers, and there are still teachers who lack teacher responsibility at work. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between organizational commitment and organizational culture with the performance of teachers at SD Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru. The research method used is a survey method with correlational techniques. The study population was 24 teachers of SD Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru, so the sample was 24 people. The data collection instrument was in the form of a questionnaire or questionnaire. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire on performance, organizational commitment, and organizational culture have been tested. The data normality test was carried out by the Kolmogorov Smirnov test. The data analysis used was multiple correlation analysis using a level of α = 0.05. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant relationship between Organizational Commitment (X1) and Organizational Culture (X2) and Teacher Performance (Y) together with the regression equation Y = 81.388 + 0.295X1 + 0.466X2, the correlation coefficient is 0.570. The results of this study are expected to be useful for improving the performance, organizational commitment and organizational culture of SD Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru. The conclusion of this study shows that performance can be increased through increasing organizational commitment and organizational culture simultaneously.

Abstract

The practice of loving kindness meditation aims to describe a sense of care and confidence in students. To achieve maximum results, of course, it takes meditation habituation, techniques and meditation objects at the Buddhist Taman Lumbini Sunday school. Meditation practice is a program originating from the chairman of SMB Taman Lumbini and the coach's brother; practice loving-kindness meditation regularly every Sunday; brother coaches become direct guides; meditation practice is done in class, chedi, Dhamma classrooms, halls, or Sunday school grounds; students concentrate on the object of loving-kindness meditation or listen to positive sentences, intermediate meditation using audio meditation guides, bells, slide pictures. The object of meditation is breathing and then emphasizing the object of loving kindness. To be able to develop love, we must be able to feel the love within ourselves just being radiated out, with love it will make someone have a high sense of care and confidence.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out how Buddha Mandala Maitreya Sunday School in Pekanbaru implemented buddhist character values. What Buddhist character values which had been implemented; what method which had been implemented;what obstacles which had been faced by teachers in implementing buddhist characters. This field research was done in Buddha Mandala Maitreya Sunday School in Pekanbaru. Qualitative analysis technique was used as data analysis technique. The result showed the implementation of Buddhism character values in Buddha Mandala Maitreya Sunday School in Pekanbaru. But it was still individually done by each teacher there, there wasn't any specific program or mainly character from Buddha Sunday School or vihara assembly ; the value character which had been implemented were: honesty, mutual respect among friends,obey parents,politeness, sanitation, discipline,and serenity,fond of praying,character and principle practice in daily life, story telling method was used,by providing example in daily life activity, discussion method with student, explained described discpline method,and sharing method. The obstacles which were faced in implementing Buddhism character values were: lack of facility to support, lack of control against students,other problems were students not focus,lack of discipline and still too young, students were still not interested in reading etc.

Abstract

This research highlights the accompanying teacher training at the Buddha Sunday School (SMB) at Vihara Siripada in South Tangerang. The role of the accompanying teacher at Buddhist Sunday School Vihara Siripada has important functions in helping to develop the potential of each of the personal students of Buddha Sunday School. Therefore, the escort teacher at the Buddha Sunday School Vihara Siripada should have adequate skills and skill in conducting mentoring. One way to improve skills and skill is to follow public speaking training and the development of curriculum materials of the Sunday School of Buddhist Kemenag RI. The above skills are supported with a deepening of Dhamma material, and multi-media selection. Training in the form of seminars and Dhamma Talk adds the ability to speak, brave, and eagerly accompany the participants of the Buddha Sunday School Vihara Siripada. Skilled in developing learning materials about the Dhamma, choosing the right media, and skilled speaking good and right in front of the Buddhist Sunday School students.

Abstract

This research focused on the humanistic character education of college students in STAB Maitreyawira. It is to analyze the character education implementation and college students’ humanist behavior. By using a case study in qualitative research design, the sample is a purposive sample of college students in STAB Maitreyawira. Data collection by questionnaire in google form, a document study, interview, and triangulation. Data analysis with an interactive model. This research revealed that: 1) The document study indicates that the academy has regulated and implemented the culture such as trustworthy, well-mannered, responsive, creative, and three-harmony (harmonious joy, harmonious getting-along, and harmonious togetherness). The character education implementation is considered as good and well-improved with the indicator created by the lecturers and students with supportive theory. 2) Some improvements in students’ behavior and attitude in terms of the three-harmony (harmonious joy, harmonious getting-along, and harmonious togetherness) from the aspects of knowledge, behavior, and experience. 3) The most dominant aspect from the three-harmony is regarding harmonious joy while the other two are described with Mentimeter. In conclusion, the college students of STAB Maitreyawira are, conceptually, able to explain in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor with a test score above 85%. They also uphold, respect, and glorify life in the three-harmony aspects so that it can create a positive atmosphere full of optimist, non-violence, and friendliness among the school residents. The academy’s culture prioritizes humanistic moral value with the spirit of the Universal Family as the outcome of the graduates of STAB Maitreyawira.
