Jurnal ini diterbitkan tiga kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan April, Agustus, dan Desember. Artikel yang dimuat dalam jurnal ini mengedepankan analisis objektif terhadap kasus manajemen dan organisasi dalam perspektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan organisasi dalam perpektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan review terhadap konsep manajemen baru maupun implementasi konsep manajemen dengan studi literatur. Redaksi menerima naskah dari berbagai pihak untuk dimuat pada jurnal ini. Naskah yang masuk harus mengikuti Format Penulisan Naskah Jurnal Manajemen dan organisasi.

Abstract

The good leader was the leader who did not use the style of the same leadership, but was matched with the characters of his subordinate. The style of leadership that was applied by the manager and the supervisor in PT Coats Rejo Indonesia must meet with his requirement. The fulfillment of the requirement for this employee could maintain and maximize the long-term achievement of the employee and the company. The aim of this research was (1) to identify the style of leadership applied by the manager and the supervisor at the Division of Production PT Coats Rejo Indonesia, (2) to analize the achievement of the employee at that division, (3) to analize the relationship between the style of leadership and the achievement of the employee, (4) to give the alternative solutions to the company concerning the application of the leadership style for improvement in the future. The results of this research showed that the style of most dominant leadership was applied by the supervisor, and the manager used the style of consultations leadership and participation. The level of the achievement of the employee was good. The relationship of the manager's leadership with the achievement of the supervisor evidently low (the Style of Delegation Leadership) and also the supervisor's leadership with the achievement of the employee and the staff (the Style of Instruction Leadership and Delegation). This research showed that the manager and the supervisor at Division of Production paid attention to the requirement for the employee in applying the style of his leadership.

Abstract

Employee is an important resource to have production process in a big factory. Factory couldn’t operate without employee. To protect their employees, the leader makes a policy like occupational health and safety. This policy for protect their employee from risk of bad accident and illness that causes of work. Bad accident can strike employee anywhere and anytime so this cases must to have a special attention. So, the leader, government, and management must pay attention to this risk.  Work accident leaning influence to manpower productivity because quality of work life and guarantee of occupational health and safety influence manpower productivity. PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa, Tbk is one of the biggest cement factories in Indonesia. This factory has applicated occupational health and safety assessment base on Permenaker No. 05/MEN/1996 and OHSAS 18001. Occupational health and safety effectiveness can describe by six aspect based on Miner Theory. That theory are safety training, safety publication, control to work environment, inspection and discipline, improvement awareness of occupational health and safety, report and statistic of occupational health and safety. Five aspect of Theory Miner, can describe by employee perspective, even report and statistic of occupational health and safety can describe by secondary data from Safety Department and Management Representative of PT ITP.

Abstract

Economic growth is a measure of the national development of the world where banks play an important role in the stability of economic growth. The main function of banks is as a collector and distributor of public funds that aims to increase the standard of living people. Successfully collected funds will be channeled back in the form of credit. Currently, the bank main income is derived from distribution of credit. However, credit is also one of the factors that caused banking collapse when credit problems happened. So, management of funds of third parties becomes an important thing that it is a credit risk from funds distribution. This study aims to (1) Analyze the composition of third party funds (savings, giro, deposito), and (2) Analyze the development of DPK, NPL, and profit. Research conducted in the PT Bank X Tbk. From the research,  it was found that the composition of the funds of third parties on PT Bank X is dominated by deposito that has the largest contribution to the total of DPK (56,50%), while savings and giro has contributed almost the same, namely that each of 21,90% and 21,61%. There are fluctuations of DPK, NPL, and profit PT Bank X during the period 1999-2007. DPK PT Bank X was happening in the year 2007 amounting to Rp 247.355.023 (in million) with growth of 20,25% and the lowest occurred in 1999, amounting to Rp 148.005.573 (in millions). The lowest NPL happenned in the year 2004 amounting to 7,10% and the highest occurred in 1999, amounting to 70,84%. PT Bank X has a relatively large loss in 1999, namely Rp 68.155.446 (in millions) and then experienced a rapid development of year 2000 with profit growth of 103%. However, in 2005 had experienced a decline of 84% but it could have been increased again in the years 2006 to 2007 those were 130% and 124% respectively.

Abstract

Global economics crisis causes the fall of world stock. This is causes weakens it share in BEI, including sector otomotif.  BEI has some stock indexes as movement indicator of stock price, one of them is index Kompas 100.  This Index represents of  about 70-80 percent market capitalization value total of share  in BEI.  However, that can be different with other index, so that be necessary to measure of each corporate performance with using Economic Value Added (EVA) method.    EVA is used to measure of corporate performance based of the value.  value added will be create, if the retained earning more than cost of capital.  From two company analized during the 2007 to 2008 period,  there is only one of corporate have a performance increase at 2008, that is PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk, this is mean the corporate has been investor expectation filled.  Differ from PT Multistrada, PT Gajah Tunggal at 2008 have a performance decrease. At 2007 it have positive value of EVA, but at 2008 value of EVA get down to negative. This is happen cause of dead loss in consequence of global economics crisis. For the companies that give the negative value, it  better find out more strategies so it  can make their profit rise and also to push the capital cost with choosing the lowest capital structure. Beside that, the companies also should erase the activities that can caused the value of the company becoming less.

Abstract

To meet the needs of the national corn on the feed industry that requires a continuous supply of raw materials with a definite quantity throughout the year, in the national maize production conditions that is not continuous and fluctuating, it is necessary supply planning and storage methods to avoid the risk of maize corn supply crisis form of food shortages or rising feed prices. One method is to apply the concept of supply chain risk management. The high level of dependence and complexity of networks makes supply chain of agricultural products supply chain is becoming more vulnerable to interference. The risk of supply chain disturbance can occur internally (the relation between the organization with a network of suppliers) and external (between network suppliers with the environment). Therefore it is necessary to identify and evaluate supply chain risks in order to avoid continuing problems that can occur at any point in the supply chain network. The objective of this study is to describe the model of identification and evaluation for maize supply chain risk. This model can be used to identify the dominant risk factors and variables at each level of supply chain so that it will be obtained appropriate recommendations action to anticipate them. Risk identification will be conducted with fuzzy AHP approach and risk evaluation would be done by using fuzzy logic with data input form the opinion of several experts maize supply chain.

Abstract

Bamboo handicraft business at rural areas, of Pajeleran Sukahati, Cibinong of Bogor district, Indonesia is estimated to have lasted since the 1960s carried from generation to generation. Some types of bamboo handicraft products routinely produced are variety of furniture products like tables and chairs. This study aims to know the description of the existence of craftsmen, the strengths and weaknesses as well as strategies that can be owned implemented for business development. Based on survey results revealed that the total value of IFE matrix owned by the craftsman is 3.00 and the total value of EFE matrix is 3.05. Further analysis of these results is phase matching, which produces information that the presence of artisans into the first cells that means grows and develops. There are three alternative strategies that can be applied by the craftsmen in developing their business are: 1). Market penetration; 2). Development or expansion of the market; and 3). Products development. Based on QSPM result, products development has a highest score of Total Attractive Score (TAS), so it’s has been chosen as the most recommended strategy.
