Abstract

This scientific paper aims to determine the relationship between promotion and service quality on customer satisfaction in Optik Padang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The study population was 101 Optics Minang Padang customers, the sampling was randomly proportional to the number of 50 customers. The results of the univariate multiple regression analysis Promotion in Optik Minang Padang, the R value is 0.142. The value of R Square (R2) is 0.02 which means (2%) the value of promotion contributes to customer satisfaction with a significance of 0.021 where the p value is <0.05. Meanwhile, Padang Minang Optical Service Quality Value R Square (R2) of 0.243 means (24.3%) the value of service quality contributes to the significance of customer satisfaction by 0.000, which p value <0.05. Furthermore, the results of the multiple regression R test of 0.493 which shows a significant simple regression coefficient. quality of service to customer satisfaction. The value of R Square (R2) is 0.256 which means (25.6%) Significance of 0.001 where the p value is <0.0. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested to the Optic Owner to increase promotion and service quality and that RO can work professionally.

Abstract

The comfort and quality of vision of progressive lenses are determined by several factors such as the measurement and placement of the lens, the position of the head when examined, and the adjustment of the eyeglass frame when the lens parameters are measured. This research illustrates how the comfort and quality of vision can be affected by these factors. This research was conducted on those who have examined and installed progressive lenses based on their experience and abilities. The results showed that the visual quality of progressive lens wearers was influenced by the measurement of monocular PD, vertical pupils with reference to the lower rim of the rim and the center of the pupil,. head position factor when looking far must be in a straight or primary position, factors that affect the quality of vision where far vision must be clear through progressive lenses , quality near vision must be clear and distance vision medium clear.

Abstract

COVID-19 caused major disruptions in daily activities for children throughout the world as schools and extracurricular activities shut down. Some reports indicated an increace in myopia among children due to the increase near work and decrease of outdoor activity during the pandemic. This literature research was aimed at evaluating evidences of near work as contributing factor to myopia, and of outdoor activity as protective factor. Based on the evaluation, the researcher suggested serveral inmportant steps to reduce the negative impact of near work for school-children.

Abstract

Near work activity in school-aged children is one of the risk factors (effects) of myopia. The longer a person focuses his eyesight to look closely, the longer the accommodation. So that over time the eyes will get tired and this condition will trigger blurring in the retina and the eyes become unfocused. Myopia is a form of refractive disorder in which parallel rays coming from an infinite distance by the eye that are not accommodated are refracted at a point in front of the retina, distant vision is blurred, hence myopia is the main cause of visual impairment

Abstract

This paper aims to find important steps that must be taken by a number of parties to overcome the increase in cases of myopia in children. These steps are very urgent to be carried out in relation to cases of myopia which are growing very rapidly in children in this era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Using qualitative methods, this study explored a number of literatures and interviewed three experts who worked as lecturers at ARO Gapopin. The results of this study indicate that technology is closely related to the success of children in achieving Indonesia's Vision 2045 which is the golden generation related to the demographic bonus. Also, the increase in myopia is related to the myths that live in society that must be overcome. In addition, myopia can be overcome if the relevant parties have the knowledge and methods related to effective treatment.
