Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effects of financial literacy, financial well-being, overconfidence bias, risk tolerance, herding behavior, and social interaction on investment intention, as well as the role of investment intention as a moderating variable that relates these variables to the participation of millennial employees in the stock market during the COVID-19 pandemic. The target population of this research is millennial employees who have participated in the stock market. For sampling, this study uses the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used is the structural equation method. The results of this study are that financial literacy, financial well-being, risk tolerance, and social interaction are proven to positively influence investment intention. Furthermore, investment intention has a positive effect on stock market participation. Furthermore, investment intention cannot mediate the relationship between financial literacy, financial well-being, overconfidence bias, risk tolerance, herding behavior, and social interaction on stock market participation. Overconfidence bias and herding behavior do not have a positive effect on investment intention. This study proves that financial literacy, financial well-being, risk tolerance, and social interaction among millennial employee investors can encourage their intention to invest. However, the uncertainty of investment returns during the COVID-19 pandemic mitigated the investment intention of these millennials and did not encourage them to participate in the stock market. Thus, the research provides empirical evidence on the Theory of Planned Behavior for millennial employee investors in encouraging their intention to invest in the stock market.Keywords: Financial literacy, financial well-being, risk tolerance, social interaction, and investment intentions.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh literasi keuangan, kesejahteraan keuangan, bias terlalu percaya diri, toleransi risiko, perilaku menggiring, dan interaksi sosial terhadap niat investasi, dan peran niat investasi sebagai variabel moderasi yang menghubungkan variabel-variabel tersebut dengan partisipasi karyawan milenial pada pasar saham selama pandemi Covid 19. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai milenial yang berinvestasi saham di pasar modal. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Metode Persamaan Struktural. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa literasi keuangan, kesejahteraan keuangan, toleransi risiko, dan interaksi sosial dapat mempengaruhi niat investasi secara positif. Selanjutnya niat investasi berpengaruh positif terhadap partisipasi pasar saham. Selanjutnya, niat investasi tidak dapat memediasi hubungan antara literasikeuangan, kesejahteraan keuangan, bias terlalu percaya diri, toleransi risiko, perilaku menggiring, dan interaksi sosial terhadap partisipasi pasar saham. Bias terlalu percaya diri dan perilaku menggiring tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap niat investasi. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti bahwa literasi keuangan, kesejahteraan keuangan, toleransi risiko, perilaku menggiring dapat mendorong niat karyawan milenial untuk berinvestasi. Akan tetapi kondisi ketidakpastian ketika mereka berinvestasi selama pandemi Covid 19 tidak mendorong niat mereka untuk berpartisipasi dalam pasar saham. Dengan demikian penelitian ini memberikan bukti empiris atas Teori Perilaku yang Direncanakan pada karyawan milenial dalam mendorong niat mereka berinvestasi di pasar saham.Kata kunci:Literasi keuangan, kesejahteraan keuangan, toleransi risiko, interaksi sosial, dan niat investasi.

Abstract

Abstract. The concept of knowledge management as the mainstay for building the competitive advantage of large companies has been highly emphasized in the strategic management literature, but similar studies are still rare in the realm of MSMEs. To fill this gap, this paper empirically examines the relationship between the dimensions of knowledge management capability and competitive advantage through the entrepreneurial orientation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The knowledge management dimensions used include knowledge management infrastructure and knowledge management processes. The analysis technique uses Structural Equation Model (SEM) with SmartPLS. Research respondents are owners/managers in 75 MSME sentra in Jakarta, Indonesia. Statistical tests show that knowledge management infrastructure has a significant effect on entrepreneurial orientation but does not have a significant effect on competitive advantage. The knowledge management process has a significant effect on entrepreneurial orientation and also on competitive advantage. Meanwhile, entrepreneurial orientation has a significant effect on competitive advantage. This reality confirms that when there is high pressure on MSMEs, it will cause actions and reactions among companies in the industry. To emphasize the important role of knowledge management in facing future pressures, wider research is needed on the consequent variables of the application of knowledge management in MSMEs, such as digital capabilities, business agility and business performance.Keywords: Knowledge management infrastructure, knowledge management processes, competitive advantage, entrepreneurial orientation, MSMEAbstrak. Konsep knowledge management sebagai andalan untuk membangun keunggulan kompetitif perusahaan besar sudah sangat ditekankan dalam literatur strategic management, namun studi serupa masih jarang dilakukan di ranah UMKM. Untuk mengisi kesenjangan tersebut, makalah ini mengkaji secara empiris hubungan antara dimensi kapabilitas manajemen pengetahuan dan keunggulan kompetitif melalui orientasi kewirausahaan Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). Dimensi manajemen pengetahuan yang digunakan meliputi infrastruktur manajemen pengetahuan dan proses manajemen pengetahuan. Teknik analisis menggunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM) dengan SmartPLS. Responden penelitian adalah pemilik/pengelola di 75 sentra UMKM di Jakarta, Indonesia. Uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa knowledge management infrastructure berpengaruh signifikan terhadap orientasi kewirausahaan namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keunggulan kompetitif. Proses knowledge management berpengaruh signifikan terhadap orientasi kewirausahaan dan juga keunggulan bersaing. Sedangkan orientasi kewirausahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keunggulan bersaing. Realitas ini menegaskan bahwa ketika terjadi tekanan yang tinggi terhadap UMKM akan menimbulkan aksi dan reaksi antar perusahaan dalam industri tersebut. Untuk menekankan peran penting knowledge management dalam menghadapi tekanan masa depan, diperlukan penelitian yang lebih luas terhadap variabel-variabel konsekuen penerapan knowledge management pada UMKM, seperti kapabilitas digital, business agility dan business performance.Keywords: Knowledge management infrastructure, knowledge management processes, competitive advantage, entrepreneurial orientation, MSME

Abstract

Abstract. This study investigated a problem associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused Indonesia to enter an economic recession in the second and third quarters of 2020. In particular, the MSME industry was most greatly affected by the recession (LIPI, 2020). As a result of the pandemic, people were forced to conduct activities online in order to minimize the spread of the virus. Data from the Economic Creative Agency show that 60% of culinary MSMEs in Indonesia were adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the high competition among merchants, especially those in the culinary MSME sector, has forced businesses to transform and adapt to the changing situation. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, Online Food Delivery (OFD) platforms have become increasingly popular among the public. Thus, in order for MSMEs to continue innovating to maintain the stability of their business, this study uses behavior analysis to identify and segment consumers using OFD services. This study surveyed 100 OFD consumers in Jakarta using a questionnaire. The data were then analyzed using a decision tree model. The results revealed that there were five variables that greatly influenced an OFD consumer's spending: willingness to pay, purchase frequency, region of residence, factors that affect their preferred choice of merchant, and the type of merchant. The optimal decision tree model classified OFD consumer behavior into seven nodes, each with unique characteristics. These results helped to characterize and classify OFD consumer behaviors, allowing restaurants to maintain the profitability of their business by utilizing this information to better understand consumer needs as well as improve their decision-making processes.Keywords: Behavior, business transformation, consumer, online food delivery (ofd), decision treeAbstrak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisa permasalahan yang bersumber dari pandemi Covid-19 yang menyebabkan Indonesia mengalami resesi ekonomi pada kuartal kedua dan ketiga tahun 2020 yang membuat industri UKM terkena dampak terbesar selama pandemi (LIPI, 2020). Sehingga masyarakat melakukan aktivitas secara online guna meminimalisir penyebaran virus. Berdasarkan data Badan Ekonomi Kreatif, 60% UMKM kuliner di Indonesia terdampak pandemi covid. Selain itu, tingginya persaingan antar pedagang khususnya di bidang kuliner menjadikan mereka umumnya tergolong UMKM dan diharapkan mampu beradaptasi dengan keadaan tersebut dengan melakukan transformasi bisnis. Sejak pandemi Covid-19 platform yang digunakan konsumen dalam memesan platform Online Food Delivery (OFD) juga semakin populer di masyarakat. Sehingga inovasi berkelanjutan dari UMKM mendesak untuk dilakukan dan selanjutnya untuk menjaga stabilitas, informasi tentang analisis perilaku dapat membantu mengidentifikasi segmentasi konsumen yang menggunakan layanan OFD. Pengukuran diidentifikasi dari 100 konsumen OFD di Jakarta menggunakan kuesioner kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pohon keputusan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan terdapat lima variabel yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap belanja pembelian konsumen yaitu kesediaan membayar, frekuensi pembelian, tempat tinggal, restaurant pilihan, dan jenis restaurant. Klasifikasi pohon keputusan menunjukkan tujuh simpul dengan karakteristik konsumen yang berbeda dalam menggunakan layanan OFD. Hasil ini menunjukkan karakteristik target audiens dan klasifikasi segmentasi perilaku konsumen dalam menggunakan layanan OFD sehingga restoran dapat mempertahankan bisnis dengan melakukan inovasi yang berkelanjutan dan memanfaatkannya untuk mengetahui kebutuhan konsumen sebagai dasar pertimbangan keputusan untuk perbaikan yang lebih baik.Kata kunci: Tingkah laku, transformasi bisnis, konsumen, online food delivery (ofd), pohon keputusan

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine the effect of performance appraisal effectiveness on employee outcomes through the role of workplace culture. Survey method is used for data collection. Partial Least Square (PLS) is used as data analysis on 100 samples of retail companies in West Java, Indonesia. The results show that performance appraisal effectiveness has a positive effect on workplace culture; workplace culture has a positive effect on employee outcomes (managerial performance and job involvement). The results also prove that workplace culture mediates the effect of performance appraisal effectiveness on employee outcomes. The study has practical implications that it is very important for organizations to consider the importance of a positive workplace culture when designing a performance appraisal system that is not only good but also effective in improving employee outcomes.Keywords: Performance appraisal effectiveness, employee outcomes, workplace cultureAbstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh efektivitas penilaian kinerja terhadap hasil kerja karyawan melalui peran budaya tempat kerja. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survei. Analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS) pada 100 sampel perusahaan ritel di Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas penilaian kinerja berpengaruh positif terhadap budaya kerja; budaya tempat kerja memiliki pengaruh positif pada hasil karyawan (kinerja manajerial dan keterlibatan kerja). Hasil penelitian juga membuktikan bahwa budaya tempat kerja memediasi pengaruh efektivitas penilaian kinerja terhadap hasil kerja karyawan. Studi ini memiliki implikasi praktis bahwa sangat penting bagi organisasi untuk mempertimbangkan pentingnya budaya tempat kerja yang positif ketika merancang sistem penilaian kinerja yang tidak hanya baik tetapi juga efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil kerja karyawan.Kata kunci:Efektivitas penilaian kinerja, hasil kerja karyawan, budaya tempat kerja

Abstract

Abstract. This study examines the effect of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure towards systematic risk of energy companies in Indonesia. ESG performance is measured by Environmental, Social, and Governance Disclosure Score from Bloomberg, while systematic risk is measured using beta. This study performed regression using a sample of 9 energy companies in Indonesia during 2017-2021 and found that social disclosure variable has a significant negative effect towards the company's systematic risk. Meanwhile, environmental and corporate governance disclosure variable do not affect systematic risk significantly. This study contributes on how ESG information determines risk-adjusted returns and adds to previous research finding conducted in Indonesia by Triyani et al. (2021) that social performance disclosure has a negative impact on the systematic risk of companies in overall sector.Keywords:ESG Disclosure Score, systematic risk, sustainability, emerging country, energy sectorAbstrak. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh pengungkapan environment, social, dan governance (ESG) terhadap risiko sistematis perusahaan sektor energi di Indonesia. Pengungkapan kinerja ESG diukur dengan Environmental, Social, dan Governance Disclosure Score dari Bloomberg, sedangkan risiko sistematis diukur dengan beta. Dengan menguji 9 perusahaan energi di Indonesia periode 2017-2021 menggunakan regresi, hasil menunjukkan variabel pengungkapan kinerja sosial memiliki hubungan negatif yang signifikan terhadap risiko sistematis perusahaan. Sedangkan variabel pengungkapan kinerja lingkungan dan tata kelola perusahaan tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan terhadap risiko sistematis. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam menjelaskan pertimbangan informasi keberlanjutan terhadap risiko sistematis perusahaan untuk menentukan risk-adjusted return. Penelitian ini menambah hasil temuan dari penelitian sebelumnya oleh Triyani et al. Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between dynamic capability and production performance in manufacturing SMEs. Conceptual models were developed with cost efficiency, quality, flexibility, and speed as outcome variables and dynamic capability as exposure. A sample of 120 respondents was collected using questionnaires, and the data was analyzed using Smart PLS Statistical Software and Structural Equation Modeling. The study's results indicated that dynamic capability significantly impacts product quality, cost efficiency, production flexibility, and production speed. All hypotheses were accepted, highlighting the critical importance of dynamic capability and production performance for manufacturing SMEs, especially in the blacksmith business, where prior research is limited. The study's contribution is significant, as it uniquely integrates dynamic capability, production performance, and manufacturing SMEs. The findings suggest that SMEs can enhance their position for success by improving their dynamic capabilities and production performance. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the importance of dynamic capability in enhancing production performance for manufacturing SMEs, and its implications can be useful for practitioners, policymakers, and scholars interested in SMEs' growth and competitiveness.Keywords: Dynamic capability, production performance, cost efficiency, quality, flexibility, production speed.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kemampuan dinamis dan kinerja produksi pada UKM manufaktur. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, model konseptual telah dikembangkan yang melibatkan variabel hasil seperti efisiensi biaya, kualitas, fleksibilitas, dan kecepatan produksi, serta kemampuan dinamis sebagai faktor eksposur. Sampel diambil dari 120 responden melalui penggunaan kuesioner, dan data dianalisis menggunakan Smart PLS Statistical Software dan Structural Equation Modeling. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua hipotesis telah diterima, yang mengindikasikan bahwa kemampuan dinamis memiliki dampak signifikan pada kualitas produksi, efisiensi biaya, fleksibilitas produksi, dan kecepatan produksi. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kemampuan dinamis dan kinerja produksi pada UKM manufaktur, terutama dalam bisnis pandai besi, di mana penelitian sebelumnya sangat terbatas. Dengan meningkatkan kemampuan dinamis dan kinerja produksi, organisasi UKM dapat memperbaiki posisi mereka untuk mencapai kesuksesan. Pendekatan unik penelitian ini, yang mengintegrasikan kemampuan dinamis, kinerja produksi, dan UKM manufaktur, menegaskan kontribusi unik dari penelitian ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi yang berharga bagi pemahaman kita tentang pentingnya kemampuan dinamis dan kinerja produksi dalam meningkatkan kinerja UKM manufaktur.Kata kunci: Kapabilitas dinamis, kinerja produksi, efisiensi biaya, kualitas, fleksibilitas, kecepatan produksi.

Abstract

Abstract. The primary purpose of this paper is to explore how redesigning product packaging can increase customer purchase intention. The uniqueness of this research is the use of neuromarketing principles in redesigning product packaging, and the context that will be discussed is a social enterprise product. The methods used are mixed methods consisting of qualitative methods, experimental design, and quantitative methods. The principle of neuromarketing discussed in this study is eye-tracking. The quantitative research will then test the relationship between product packaging and purchase intention. A new packaging design was created for RASI product. For a long time, RASI (Beras Singkong or Cassava Rice) has been an iconic product for Cireundeu due to its heritage and unique culture. The eye-tracking experiments strongly correlate the new packaging design and product purchase intention. This article resulted in a new packaging design by applying the neuromarketing principle in a social setting.Keywords: Design, product packaging, neuromarketing, purchase intention, social enterpriseAbstrak. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana mendesain ulang kemasan produk dapat meningkatkan niat beli dari pelanggan. Keunikan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan prinsip neuromarketing dalam mendesain ulang kemasan produk, dan konteks yang akan dibahas adalah produk kewirausahaan sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode campuran yang terdiri dari metode kualitatif, desain eksperimen, dan metode kuantitatif. Prinsip neuromarketing yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah eye-tracking. Penelitian kuantitatif kemudian akan menguji hubungan antara kemasan produk dengan niat beli. Desain kemasan baru diciptakan untuk produk RASI. Untuk waktu yang lama, RASI (Beras Singkong) telah menjadi produk ikonik dari Kampung Adat Cireundeu. Eksperimen pelacakan mata sangat berkorelasi dengan desain kemasan baru dan niat pembelian produk. Artikel ini menghasilkan desain kemasan baru dengan menerapkan prinsip neuromarketing dalam lingkungan sosial.Kata kunci: Desain, kemasan produk, intensi membeli, kewirausahaan sosial, eye-tracking
