Abstract

Starting with trial and error, many young people who fall into drug abuse. he solution to deal with this social problem arose with set up various drug rehabilitation institutions for recovering patients physically, psychologically and spiritually. One method that is usually used is the method of music therapy as practiced by the Narcissus Narcotics Rehabilitation Institution in Parepei, Remboken.This study uses a qualitative method - Case Study with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that the role of church music in the process of recovering narcotics victims was urgently needed seeing that most victims were Christians.The type of music used in the recovery process covers various genres of music, but only part of it is used because it is adapted to conditioned the victim. The process of recovery of victims through music went well and produced good results as well where the music was very necessary in recovery which was also balanced with other processes.

Abstract

The study examines church music in Bethany Indonesia (GBI) Melonguane church service in Talaud Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out the role of church music for character education and church mission bearers precisely at Bethany Indonesia Church (GBI) Melauana Prayer Tower Church, Talaud Regency. From the results of the research exposure presented in the previous chapter, it can be concluded as a whole as follows: Church music has a good role in the context of the church's character education, this can occur because in the context of character education there are several understandings that the congregation should understand, namely; (1) Understanding music from the texts of the songs, (2) Understanding musicality, (3) Understanding theologically, and (4) Animation of music. Church music has a good role to play in the mission of the church. Every church must have its own mission. How to get the congregation involved in the mission of the church, namely by implementing any music sung (songs and songs) so that the music also lives in the soul of the congregation. Song texts that encourage the mission to be accompanied by musical understanding by singing it aesthetically good and theological understanding, the soul of a missionary from the congregation will appear, because the congregation first experience what is the prayer in the songs.

Abstract

Culture, customs and traditions in people's lives, are no longer seen as taboo or should not be tampered with, because of culture, customs and traditions become a bridge in preaching the gospel. Even the Christian community or church is growing in the midst of customs, culture and traditions. Thus there is a role or fair share of culture in the growth of the gospel message. The gospel penetrates all lines of human life including culture, customs and traditions, because "Jesus Christ comes first in all things". Jesus Christ is superior to all cultures, traditions and customs in the community. God bestows culture, customs and traditions in human life to be able to introduce Himself to people who are very limited in understanding God, so that the gospel can be preached by means of culture, customs and traditions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana implementasi pendidikan musik gereja pada kelompok paduan suara Nine’s Voice membentuk karakter kristiani. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang dilaksanakan di SMA N 9 Manado pada tahun 2018. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dari hasil analisis yang meliputi tiga tahap yaitu : reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan serta interpretasi data diperoleh indikasi bahwa kegiatan ekstrakulikuler paduan suara Nine’s Voice di SMA N 9 Manado merupakan salah satu wadah pembentukan karakter kristiani dengan diterapkannya pendidikan musik gereja yang didalamnya ada kompetensi pelatih, kepemimpinan, menejemen pengelolaan paduan suara serta kreativitas. Karakter kristiani terbentuk dari beberapa untuk yaitu (a) unsur lingkungan sekitar, (b) unsur kebiasaan.

Abstract

In a song, the lyrics or poetry is very important, because through the lyrics, it can be seen the message contained in the song, so that it can affect the feelings of those who hear it. The purpose of this study is to analyze Congregational songs that have Good News elements and see how the process of Internalizing Good News in Congregational Songs especially in the GMIM Eben Haezer Suwaan Congregation. This study used a qualitative method conducted at GMIM Eben Haezer Suwaan in June - August 2017. The research data was collected through Observation, Interview, and Documentation as well as the results of data analysis and interpretation of data obtained that (1) Does the song in the Congregational song have elements Good news. (2) What is the process of Internalizing Good News in Congregational Singing at GMIM Eben Haezer Suwaan. The findings of this study are recommended for the Jama'at regarding the function of Congregational Singing which is used in Internalizing Good News, also for evangelizers in using Congregational singing as a means of assisting the Jama'at in internalizing the Good News.
