Abstract

Human development is an important part of a series ofprocesses undertaken by a country or region to change for the better future. Human Development Index (HDI) becomesone of the benchmarks in assessing the success of human development. To support human development government must allocate an effective public budget. This study aims to see how the effect of capital expenditure on increasing HDI in Palembang City. The data used is the primary data for the period of 2013-2016. The analysis technique is simple regression analysis of two variables, namely HDI as dependent variable and capital expenditure (lag 1) as independent variable. The result shows that capital expenditure has a significant influence on the increase of HDI.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Effects of Training and Individual Attitudes to Work Motivation of Vocational Education Participants of Lembaga Pendidikan dan Pengembangan Profesi Indonesia (LP3I) branch of Palembang. The research usesPurposive Random Sampling method. Thus, the number of samples in this study are all participants of Vocational Education LP3I BranchofPalembang those are103 people for all majors.Methods of data analysis isMultiple Linear Regression method. The results show that training and individual attitudes significantly influence to the work motivation of Vocational Education Participants LP3I branch of Palembang either partially or simultaneously. In this research, training variable is the most dominant variable affectthe work motivation of Vocational Education Participant LP3I branch of Palembang.

Abstract

One of the tools used to know the company's financial condition is the financial statements. The financial statements describe the financial performance including the company's performance in generating profit. Interpretation of financial reporting can be done by measuring the ratio of the financial statements. This study aims to analyze the company's ability to generate profits through the analysis of financial statements through the level of profitability at PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk from 2011-2016. The data used is the financial statements of 2011-2016. Analysis technique using Profitability Ratio is ROA measurement, ROE, Profit Margin, BEP, and Margin Contribution. The result shows Profit Margin is good enough so that in every net sales Rp. 1.00 can generate net income. Return On Asset is productive so that the asset turnover Rp. 1.00 can generate net sales. Return On Equity is productive so that the average turnover of capital Rp. 1.00 can generate net income. Basic Earning Power is productive sothat the management of assets Rp. 1.00 can generate profit before tax. Margin contribution is good enough so that the management of assets Rp. 1.00 can generate gross profit.

Abstract

This research isconducted to find outthe influence of leadership style and organizational culture partially and simultaneously employees commitment at Sjakhyakirti University of Palembang. Data areobtained from questionnaires. The respondents areall staffs and lecturers at Sjakhyakirti University of Palembang. The results of the research analyzeusing Multiple Linear Regression which Leadership styles and organizational culture havea significant influence to employees commitment also leadership style and organizational culture simultaneously have a significant effect on employees commitment. It is suggested that the leadership of Sjakhyakirti University of Palembangmaintainsa participative and delegative stylesin orderto maintainthe affective commitment of the employees in University of Sjakhyakirti. The leader should pay attention to discipline and employees developmentbecauseit will certainly impact on the sustainability commitment of employees and lecturers in Sjakhyakirti University of Palembang.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how is the level of employment and the influence of economic growth, investment (domestic investment and foreign investment), and provincial minimum wage affect it in the province of South Sumatra. The analytical tool used is Multiple Linear Regression with data obtained is secondary data that is economic growth, domestic invesment, foreign investment, provincial minimum wage, and number of labor in South Sumatera Province during period 2006-2015. The results showed that the absorption of labor force in South Sumatra during the period 2006-2015 has a fluctuated value. More than 50 percent of the workforce is absorbed in the agricultural sector. The rest is mostly absorbed by the trade and services sectors. Based on the regression result, it is found that economic growth, domestic invesment, foreign investment have a significant and positive effect on employment, while provincial minimum wage also has significant influence but has negative relation to employment in South Sumatera Province.

Abstract

Strategy management of improving the service quality of property tax management and acquisition cost of land and buildings (BPHTB) at Departement of Revenue Palembang is a research which aims to find out the strategies done by Dispenda in improving the service quality of PBB and BPHTB. This study uses qualitative descriptive research with SWOT analysis and Litmus Test. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the strategies in improving the service quality of property tax management (PBB)and Acquisition cost of Land and Building (BPHTB) of Departement of Revenue Palembang are Socialize to the tax payer community regarding the awareness of the payment of property tax and acquisition cost of land and building; Improve internal controls to create property tax and acquisition cost of land and building service in accordance with the applicable rules and procedure; and Increase the number of supporting facilities and infrastructures such as counter payments for the tax payers.

Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of Pension Fund Investment Quality to the Increase in Pension Fund Income, which aims to determine the level of corporate earnings more optimal. The object of this research is Yayasan Dana Pensiun Karyawan PT. Pusri Palembang which organizes a Definite Benefit Pension Program. Techniques used in this research are ratio analysises, those arefunding ratio,profitability ratio and trend analysis. While the techniques of data collection of used are field studies through observation, interviews and literature study. This indicates that the Pension Fund of PT. Pusri gain income from 2013 until 2017. However, this does not affect the level of funding quality which is still at levelIII. Instead, an increase in profits will impact on improving thequality of better financing. Suggestions that can be given by the writerto Dana Pensiun PT. Pusriare, itshould increase the amount of wealth to finance more than the amount of actuarial liabilities, the founder should reduce the deficit that occurs so that the quality of funding increases so that the income or obtained more optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of debt to equity ratio, current ratio, firm size, and returnon asset to dividend payout ratio. By using 4 indicators as independent variable is debt to equity ratio, current ratio, firm size, and return on asset and dividend payout ratio as dependent variable. The sample wastested as many as 45 Companies Included in LQ 45 Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange for 5 years from 2010 to 2014. The test was performed by using multiple linear regression analysis of SPSS for Windows Version 22.0. Based on the results of the study showed that the simultaneously independent variables have a positive and significant influence on the dividend payout ratio. Based on the results Partially, the variable debt to equity ratio, current ratio, firm size, and return on assets have a positive and significant effect on the dividend payout ratio.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of the relationship between work discipline on employee performance. The population in this study were 120 people and the sample was 92 people. The analysis technique is done by qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results of this study can be concluded that the relationship between work discipline and employee performance using the product moment correlation analysis tool obtained rxy correlation value of 0.997. When consulted with r table 0.997 it is at 0.80-1,000 which means that the relationship between work discipline and performance is very strong. The influence of work discipline and employee performance using the determination coefficient determination formula obtained a value of 99.4%, meaning that work discipline has an effect of 99.4% on performance. While 0.6% is influenced by other factors not examined. The magnitude of the qualitative analysis of work discipline and employee performance in table 8-16 concerning work discipline questions in table 17-27 about thequestion of employee performance, it is concluded that the work discipline carried out by employees is still not good. Thus it can be concluded that work discipline has a role in improving employee performance.

Abstract

This research was done in order to investigate the effect of compensation variables which are; salary and benefit, facility and honour toward the productivity of employees at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, the objectives of this research were: a) to investigate the effect of compensation variables which are; salary and benefit, facility and honour toward the productivity of employees at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, and b) to investigate which independent variable was dominant in affecting the productivity of employees at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. The research method used was causal. There were 100 employees used as the relationship between variables was measured by using multiple linear regression analysis. The research findings in general showed that the variables of compensation which are; salary and benefit, facility and honour significantly affected the productivity of employees at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. Partially, the salary and benefit variable had a dominant factor toward productivity of employees at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang.
