Abstract

The aim of the research is to increase the student learning matematics X3 classSMAN 1 Pangkalan Kerinci in the matter of trigonometry with the applicaition of guideddiscovery method. This type of reseach is action research class. The research was carried outon the X3 class SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kerinci and performed in two cycles of planning,implementation of action, observation and reflection. The research data were test result oflearning. The collected data were analyzed descriptively.The result of the research show thatapplication of guided discovery method can increase student learning outcomes. Learningoutcomes of students from cycle I to cycle II has increased 9,38 persen. Based on the researchfindings, it can be concluded that the application of guided discovery method can improvestudent learning outcomes in the matter of trigonometry.

Abstract

The purpose of mastery learning Applied method is to describe of learning hasdone by students to know about the arrange of random sentence to be a good paragraph andwrite based on the chosen word and sentence, based on perfectly spelling in a composition inthe learning curriculum, composition has done arranged based on topic and level of studentsin elementary school 002 Rumbai Pekanbaru the fourth grade to composition in Indonesianclass. Amount of students are thirty two cycles. The processes of this research divided in twocycles. The average of the first student completeness cycle is 66,7 and the secondcompleteness cycle is 76,4% and the result of the first cycle only 24 students 90,63% thesecond cycle only 32 students be 100%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' social skills through cooperative learningmodel with Intellectually Auditory Repetition (AIR) approach. Research subjects were 30eight-grade students of junior high school. Twelve students from the two groupsof them wereobservedby using social skills instrument.The students'social skills are comprised of fiveaspects, namely in the task, encouraging participation, taking turns and sharing tasks, activelylistening and asking questions. Data were analyzedusing percentage of every aspect ofstudents' social skills. Based on analysis of data obtained, 91.67 percent students are in highcategory and 8.33 percentin middle category of social skills level. Thus, the application ofcooperative learning model with intellectually auditory repetition in the learning of sciencephysics can develop social skills of junior high school students.

Abstract

The low achievement of students in SMAN 2 Siak Hulu on the subject ofColloids is caused by the lack of students’ involvement in learning the material. It needs astrategy that can make the students become active during the learning process. One of thestrategies that can activate the student is index card match active learning strategy. It hasbeen done a research in SMAN 2 Siak Hulu, Kampar, in XI science 1 class as an experimentclass and XI science 3 as a control class with pre-test and post-test design. The statistics datashowed that the value of t count was greater than t table which means that the hypothesis inthis study can be accepted, that is "The application of active learning strategies of Index CardMatch can improve the students’ achievement in the subject of Colloid in class XI Science ofSMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu".

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat percobaan momeninersia dan keseimbangan benda tegar. Dengan adanya perangkat percobaan ini diharapkandapat mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran fisika di SMA. Metode penelitian ini adalah metodepenelitian pengembangan atau R&D (research and developement). Validitas dan praktikalitasperangkat percobaan menggunakan validitas isi dan uji empirik. Hasil penelitian inimenunjukkan bahwa perangkat percobaan momen inersia dan keseimbangan benda tegartelah berhasil dikembangkan dengan validitas dan praktikalitas perangkat berada padakategori sangat tinggi, sehingga perangkat percobaan ini dinyatakan sesuai digunakan dalampembelajaran fisika di SMA. Namun demikian, perangkat percobaan ini tidak sesuaidigunakan untuk pengukuran teknis karena akurasinya masih rendah.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analysis the difference significance in enhancingbetween student’s mathematical understanding and communication from a pretest-posttestexperimental control group design by using Guide Inquiry Approach Learning (PIT) andConventional Approach (PK). This study involving VII th grader Junior High School inBandung, West Java. The result of the research show that : (1) Guide Inquiry ApproachLearning (PIT) significantly were better to enhance mathematical understanding andcommunication compare to approach learning dan students’ mathematical ability category;(2) There was no interaction between approach learning factor and students’ mathematicalability category in enhancing students’ mathematical understanding, but there was interactionbetween approach learning factor and students’ mathematical ability category in enhancingstudents’ mathematical communication; (3) Student’s scale shown that more student’s havepositive perspective toward Guide Inquiry Approach Learning.
