Abstract

Materials play important role in ELT. The preliminary data showed that there was no primary module included in the learning package and the English course material was irrelevant to their major (not an ESP material). This study aims to design the "Optic" topic of English Language Teaching Material for Physics Education Department at UIN Alauddin Makassar. This study applied Research and Development Method with ADDIE Model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). In order to analyze the data, this study used two research instruments, which are the document of Need Analysis Data and Evaluation Checklist. The subject of the research is the researcher and two validators from English Education Department. The data collection procedures included analysing, designing, developing and evaluating. The findings of this study demonstrate that the researchers have designed prototype syllabus as a blue print to design module. In designing module, the researchers applied three steps: selecting from existing materials related to the topic, writing our own materials related to the topic and modifying existing materials related to the materials.  Additionally, the evaluation checklist's results shows that the Optic units (syllabus and the module) have been carefully designed that fulfilling the needs of the students. The product is suggested particularly to use by lecturers in English Language Teaching classroom. It can also be used as a preliminary step for the future researcher to try out the Optic unit of the module in implementation stage.

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to (1) know the steps development of module instructional materials with the model Quantum learning on system of linear equation with three variables (SPLTV) (2) know the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of developing mathematical module with the model Quantum Learning on system of linear equation with three variables (SPLTV). This research was a Research and Development (R&D). The development model of this research was 4D (Four D Models) which consists of 4 steps, i.e: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The tryout subject in this research were 25 students in tenth grade of SMA Negeri 2 Tana Toraja. The instruments used in this research were validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, learning achievement tests (THB). The result of this research as follows: (1) The instructional material is very valid because it has an average for each aspect of 4.457 which is at an interval of 4.3  M 5 which is included in the very valid category, (2) Practical because the average percentage of student responses is 84.75% which is in the very good category and the average percentage of teacher responses is 81.25% which is in the good category, (3) is effective because the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes is 84% ​​in the very good category. Based on the results of the analysis obtained, it can be concluded that instructional materials with the model Quantum Learning on SPLTV have met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Abstract

This research is to find out the education that is carried out by the Luwu Communications and Informatics Service and the obstacles encountered in preventing the spread of hoax information among the District Community of Luwu. Research using descriptive qualitative research with data sources and in-depth interviews. Inside informant research, namely the Head of the Luwu District Communication and Informatics Service, Head of the Division Coding and Information Communication and Informatics Office of Luwu Regency, Head of Division Communication and Informatics Office of Kominfo Luwu Regency, and Founder of Media Digital Madrasah. The results of the study showed that the Regency Communications and Informatics Office Luwu has a pattern in educating the public. Role communicators as educators are carried out, and the community as communicants is given the understanding to prevent hoaxes. There are several mediums used in conducting education. But deep maximizing this pattern, the Luwu District Communication and Informatics Service has obstacles that result in less than optimal education in the middle of society. The blocks are obstacles. to communication, human resource barriers, and the last obstacle outreach budget.

Abstract

Living in Indonesia with its diversity of cultures, ethnicities, religions and other diversity demands high tolerance and mutual respect from every citizen. This long-standing diversity must be maintained and preserved. However, recently, with the unstoppable spread of massive information, this long-established relationship has begun to crack. Fake news, including hoaxes, has filled these diversity spaces, and not a few have attempted to create social conflict. This paper attempts to find out in general how fake news is formed and spread. But most importantly, this paper will offer tips on identifying fake news. This literature research is a continuation of previous research where the data source was obtained from the results of capturing fake news that had been published on online media and social media. The results of the study show that the dissemination of fake news begins with creating information adopted from public opinion, it was then formed into articles, flavored with false sentences, and spread via social media using anonymous accounts, so that people who read it spread it back to other communities and so on. Fake news can ruin a good relationship if each party does not verify and confirm information. Thus, digital literacy plays an important role to identify fake news.

Abstract

This article analyzes the dynamics of the growth of Arabic literature in the industrial era 4.0 and predicts its growth in the era of society 5.0. Based on a number of data it was found that even though Arabic is no longer the strongest language in international relations, it is still experiencing adjustments to the times, including in the industrial era 4.0. A number of indicators show that the dynamics of Arabic language and literature can survive and develop into the era of society 5.0, especially in terms of its use and utilization. If the principle of the industrial revolution 4.0 and the Era of Society 5.0 is the ability to adapt and improve human life, then the existence of Arabic literature enters cyberspace through a digitalization process that allows it to be read by the world community, even from this point of view it has developed from the previous era.

Abstract

In the sophisticated technology ere, digitazation, virtual and online things become normality following current and future expectations, such as the slogan “world in our grip”. As information management institution, library is no longer focused on building physical and conventional services but must develop itself flow the times. Librarians play an active role in making innovations and services for users. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of digital literacy in the era of society 5.0 of librarians. This study is a qualitative research by using literature study approach. Therefore, the data were gathered through previous studies conducted by researchers or academicians. In reality, the context of digital literacy for librarians who have long been part of the library, but the digital phenomenon that is basically related to digital media users is still not optimal in its utilization in the society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Islamic business ethics concept has begun to be applied in various business sectors. This study to determine Islamic business ethics and its implementation in sharia hotel in Makassar City. This research method is descriptive qualitative at Hotel al-Badar Syariah Makassar with 7 informants. The results found Islamic business ethics is in accordance with the Tauhid concept in worship facilities; the balance concept on the payment of salaries and hotel rates; the free will concept on price promotion strategies, service discounts and non-Muslim guests; the responsibility concept on prayer times reminders, provision of prayer facilities and equipment and excellent service; and the ihsan concept on sharia accommodation support. Implementation it is applied to: rules and hotel names labeled sharia; facilities to support compliance; and services by greeting, being polite in information, responding to complaints, dressing politely, and collaborating with partners labeled sharia. The conclusion of this study is the Islamic business ethics concept is in accordance with the principles of monotheism, balance, free will, responsibility and ihsan, as well as its implementation in sharia hotel management in Makassar City through rules, facilities and services, so that it can become a role model for hotels that want to change be sharia hotel. The implication of this research is that the existence of a sharia hotel can eliminate the impression of negative things attached to the hotel business and the importance of halal certification as a sharia-based business legality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study: (1) To describe the improvement of students' narrative essay writing skills before using serial picture media (2) describes the improvement of students' essay writing skills after applying serial picture media iMattoanging, (3) analyzes that there is an effect of applying serial picture media to the narrative essay writing skills of students of class . This research is a comparative quantitative research with the approach of Pre-Experimental Design with the type of One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Sampling was carried out using saturated sampling technique, namely 21 students. The research instruments used were performance tests, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics by conducting a T test. The results of the study through IMB SPSS Statistics Version 24 showed that students' narrative essay writing skills before using pretest serial media images obtained an average of 48 in the less category. . The results of students' narrative essay writing skills after using the posttest serial image media obtained an average of 88 in the very good category. The effect of using serial picture media on students' narrative essay writing skills can be seen from the hypothesis test which shows t count = 10.087> t table = 1.72 with a real level = 0.05 so that t count is in the H0 resistance area, which means H0 was rejected and the HI hypothesis was accepted. The implication of the research is that superior teachers know and understand the principles of learning and mastering the skill of writing narrative components as a guide for managing a good class.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of developing Virtual Class learning media. The material is presented in the form of an interactive model using the Learning Center Area.  V-Class is an alternative means in the web-based learning process in the form of supplements/additions from e-learning learning applications. The V-Class application that will be made is expected to be an alternative to additional learning media, in addition to books to facilitate the teaching and learning process, and even useful as a means of communication between students and lecturers and between students. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) model with an Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation model. The product developed is a virtual class learning model.  The results of the comparison will show the advantages and disadvantages of the existing Learning Management System, making it easier for lecturers to choose a Learning Management System application that is considered appropriate for lecture needs.

Abstract

The research examines and analyzes the lack of public behavior in using public transportation in Makassar City.The research aims to identify and analyze knowledge, attitudes, and quality of service on behavior using public transportation. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach located at the city service center. Total sample of 150 respondents using stepwise analysis method. The results showed that people's behavior using public transportation was at a moderate level, the average knowledge was in the moderate category, while the average attitude and quality of service was in the low category. Service quality was the dominant factor influencing behavior in using public transportation.
