Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between problem solving learning methods and student learning outcomes in trigonometry material. The type of research used in this study is descriptive quantitative, which is a study that aims to determine the magnitude of the relationship between problem solving learning methods and student learning outcomes in trigonometry material. The sample was selected using the cluster random sampling technique and obtained by 28 students. Research variables consist of problem solving methods (X) and learning outcomes (Y). The instruments used are tests and questionnaires. The test is used to determine student learning outcomes and questionnaires are used to determine the use of problem solving learning methods in the learning process. The data analysis technique used is Product Moment Correlation. The results of the data analysis obtained rhitung value = 0.7417 While the conversion results based on the rtabel value distribution table were obtained at the level of 5% which was 0.347 and at the level of 1 % of 0.478. So that it can be written into rvalue ≥ rtable or 0.7417 ≥ 0.347 at the level of 5% and rvalue ≥ rtable or 0.7417 ≥ 0.478 at the testing level of 1% or in other words, there is a strong relationship between problem solving learning methods and student learning outcomes in trigonometry material or a large coefficient of determination of 55.01%.

Abstract

Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) is a learning tool that places students as subjects in learning and the learning process uses real-world contexts as a medium in their learning so as to help students understand the material being studied. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of PMRI in the learning process to improve student learning outcomes in the Social Arithmetic material of students VII of SMP Amanah Bangsa. This research was conducted using Classroom Action Research, which is a study that aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes. The subjects used in the study were 30 people, namely the number of all grade VII students at SMP Amanah Bangsa. The instruments used are observation and test. After carrying out the research and going through the data analysis process, the results of the analysis showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes with the application of PMRI, namely in the initial test obtained an average score of 44.00 with a percentage of completion of 23.33%, increased in cycle I to 64.00 with a percentage of completion of 56.67% and increased significantly in cycle II to 79.00 with a percentage of completion of 83.33%.

Abstract

This research is backgrounded because of the lack of mathematics teachers in applying learning methods that are in accordance with the characteristics of students and the material to be taught so that it affects learning outcomes in the classroom. The purpose of this study is for the implementation of Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning in improving student learning outcomes in class X SMAS PGRI Bolo. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which consists of four stages, namely action planning, action implementation, obervation and reflection with a total of 25 subjects. The data collection technique is by conducting tests and observations. Observation is carried out by an observer to observe the learning activities of teachers and students and the test is used to find out the learning outcomes of students after participating in learning activities. After analyzing the data on learning outcomes, it was obtained that the average score of students increased, namely in the initial test obtained an average score of 51.52 with a percentage of completion of 28.00%, increased in cycle I to 68.24 with a percentage of completion of 60.00% and increased significantly in cycle II to 80.16 with a percentage of completion of 92.00%

Abstract

This study aims to find out the relationship of jigsaw-type cooperative learning model with student learning outcomes on the concept of opportunity in grade XI SMK Muhammadiyah Ambon The type of research used is correlational quantitative, namely research. The sample in this study amounted to 28 people. The instruments used are tests and questionnaires. Tests are used to determine student learning outcomes and questionnaires are used to determine students' responses to jigsaw-type cooperative learning models. Data analysis techniques used are Product Moment Correlation. The results showed that there is a strong relationship between jigsaw-type cooperative learning models and students' learning outcomes in the opportunity material in smk Muhammadiyah Ambon class. Hypothetical test results using correlation test Products moment obtained r of 0.8374. While the conversion result based on the table of distribution of rtable value is obtained rtabel value at the level of 5 percent which is 0.374

Abstract

This research aims to find out the development of interactive multimedia-based learning media in the material of class VII MTs Negeri Ambon. This research uses Research and Development with development models proposed by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel. The development research stage consists of 4 stages known as 4D models, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results of this study showed that interactive multimedia-based learning media was declared very valid, judging from the final results of the assessment of media validators and materials by 89 percent with criteria that are very valid or worth using without revision. Interactive multimedia-based learning media is stated to be very practical with the dissemination of student response questionnaires, meeting positive categories. Obtaining scores of 86.43 percent with very practical criteria and worthy of use without revision, interactive multimedia-based learning media is otherwise quite effectively used in known learning from student N-Gain results of 0.66 or 66 percent with moderate categories. Interactive multimedia-based learning media developed meets the valid, effective, and practical categories. It deserves to be used in mathematics learning on set material for students of class VII MTs. Negeri Ambon.

Abstract

The use of the SPSS 21 (Statistical Product and Service Solution) program in learning can assist students in conducting statistical data analysis. This research aims to find out the application of SPSS 21 program as a data processor in improving student learning outcomes in statistics material class XI SMK Muhammadiyah Ambon. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research, with the number of subjects used in the study amounting to 31 people. The instruments used in this study used tests and observations. Observation is used to find out the condition of the student learning process using the SPSS 21 program and test questions are used to find out the student learning results obtained after carrying out learning using the SPSS 21 program. The results of data analysis are known that learning using SPSS 21 is better when compared to the classical learning process. Student test results experienced an increase in learning results, namely on the initial test the average score obtained by students was 49.84 with a completion percentage of 16.13 percent, and increased in the implementation of cycle I tests where the learning process was carried out using SPSS 21 with an average score of 61.85 and a completion percentage of 61.29 percent, and increased again in the implementation of cycle II tests with an average score of 79.03 with a completion percentage of 90.32 percent.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to design a theoretical approach to the existing techno-ontological logical emotions of university mathematics teachers working in universities in Ecuador. The research was qualitative. For the selection of the sample, a random selection was carried out under the criterion of intentionality. Twenty (20) students and eight (8) mathematics teachers from different universities participated. For data collection, we used a participatory digital observation guide and an open-ended interview. Three categories emerged from the results: the andragogic retrotopia of being a mathematician, the emotional scar in teacher training and the educational perception of the university student. We conclude with a theoretical approach in which the deficit of professional digital training in mathematical sciences allows the emotional logic of the Ecuadorian teacher to drive her to portray an academic being that generates hatred and rejection in the university educational community.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the mathematical concepts that exist in traditional arul games. This research is an exploratory study with an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and literature studies. The results showed that in traditional games arul found mathematical concepts including the concept of division, fractions, comparison, the revival of two circles, the determination of the center point of the circle, the unit is not standard, half hollow ball, circle, chance, distance, speed and time. The mathematical elements contained in traditional games can be used as learning materials in the classroom so that it is more contextual and a means in preserving local culture.

Abstract

Learning mathematics at Muhammadiyah Ambon Junior High School tends to be monotonous and does not motivate students. The teacher in his learning only conveys the material he teaches, regardless of the level of understanding of the student. One of the better ways that can encourage students to be actively involved in finding concepts in the teaching and learning process is to do learning using a spiral approach. With a spiral approach in teaching and learning activities oriented to students. The learning process starts from the easy and concrete and goes into the difficult or abstract. That way, it will train the mindset of students in solving every problem in the world of mathematics. This research aims to find out the differences in student learning outcomes between students who are taught using the spiral method and the teaching method of the concept of class VII of Muhammadiyah Ambon Junior High School. The type of research used is quantitative with a sample of 56 people consisting of a control class of 28 people and an experimental class of 28 people. The instruments used are tests and observations. Tests are used to determine the learning outcomes of students who are taught using lecture methods and spiral and observation methods are used to find out the learning conditions that take place. The data analysis technique used is to use two-party t-tests. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was obtained that there were differences in student learning outcomes between students who were taught using spiral methods and lecture methods of the concept of class VII of Muhammadiyah Ambon Junior High School. The results are based on the results of hypothesis testing conducted using the t-test with the result of thitung obtained a value of 7.024. While the conversion result based on the t value distribution table is in the two-party test, obtained a ttabel value of 2.000.

Abstract

Thinking is a series of mental processes of many kinds such as recalling things, fantasizing, memorizing, counting in the head, connecting some understanding, creating a concept or predicting various possibilities. Reasoning ability is a thought process that seeks to connect known facts or individuals to a conclusion. This research aims to find out students' reasoning ability in solving problems in statistical materials with a Realistic Mathematics Approach Class IX SMP Negeri 209 Jakarta. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with the number of subjects used, namely 1 person. The selected subjects are students who get the highest scores from the process of conducting tests carried out on 37 students. The instruments used are tests and interviews. Tests are used to select subjects and interviews are conducted to find out the student's reasoning ability in solving problems on the opportunity material. The data analysis technique used is to use qualitative data analysis, namely using the stage of data collection, data presentation and conclusion draw. Based on the results of data analysis conducted on subjects, peers, and subject teachers, it was obtained that the subject in learning and in the process of solving questions during the interview process used reasoning skills. In this study, the subject met the indicators of reasoning ability used in this study, namely the ability to submit conjectures, the ability to compile evidence, provide reasons for solving problems carried out, the ability to draw conclusions, and the ability to check the correctness of the answer.
