Abstract

Introduction: Insomnia in the elderly can cause weakness, dizziness, and fatigue. In addition, the psychological impact of poor sleep quality is anxiety, irritability, disturbed concentration, and stress which can increase the risk of suicide. Poor sleep quality can cause nursing problems Sleep Pattern Disorders. One of the interventions that can be given is education on rest activities, namely physical activity or sportsMethod: The method used to achieve a literature review. The literature search was conducted on the PubMed, Science Direct, Google ScholarResult: The results of 10 articles on the types of exercise used include aerobic exercise, elderly exercise, sports, low-intensity and high-intensity physical activity. most articles do exercise for 30 minutes, 2-7x a week, for 3 weeks. The quality of sleep in the elderly has increased after doing sports exercises with an ap value <0.05.Conclusion: Exercise can be an alternative to improve sleep quality in the elderly  Keywords :Elderlysleep quality,Exercise

Abstract

 Introduction:  Exclusive breastfeeding is the process of feeding infants in the form of breast milk alone without other additional foods until the baby is 6 months old. Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify the determinants of exclusive breastfeeding practices. Methods: The design of this research is a cross sectional study. Purposive Sampling 125 mothers with child aged < 24 months. Data were collected between June and August 2022. Statistical analysis using chi square test, multivariate logistic regression was used to identify the determinants of the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Results: Determinants of exclusive breastfeeding are enabling factors use of health services (p value = 0.000; Exp.B = 2, 207); reinforcing factors : husband's support (p value = 0.001, Exp (B) = 7,800); and  the role of health workers (p value = 0.002, Exp (B) = 11.833). Conclusion: There is a relationship between  enabling factors and reinforcing factors with exclusive breastfeeding in rural communities. It is necessary to immediately implement and enforce a joint policy between the government, health workers, empowering family support by increasing awareness and creating a supportive environment for the success of exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Investing in child nutrition is critical to human resource quality because nutrition is a source of future growth, cognitive development, academic performance, and productivity. Nutrition education is one of the efforts to promote a healthy diet for life and should be started as early as possible. This community service activity aims to increase the understanding and awareness of school-age children regarding balanced nutrition. This activity was carried out at the Sobyor Nature School, Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City, East Java. The results of the activity showed an increase in the knowledge score of the participants after health education was carried out using the method of lectures, discussions, and puzzle games. More community service activities involving parents and schools are expected to expand health education efforts.

Abstract

The demand for accurate laboratory examinations is increasing. However, other than laboratory personnel, there is still a high number of medical staff that are unaware of it. Even though they play a very important role in the pre-analytic aspect of laboratory examination, that is blood drawing.  In this review, we elaborately explain common mishaps in blood drawing practice and some components that need more attention when collecting blood for laboratory examination.
