The Baselang Journal is a scientific journal that publishes research results and/or reviews articles in the fields of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Environment. As well as presenting information on research results and scientific articles for sustainable agricultural development in Indonesia which are published electronically. The Baselang Journal is published by the Faculty of Agriculture, Muara Bungo University. The Baselang Journal is published twice a year, in April and October. The scope of the Baselang Journal covers general agriculture and the environment, namely: Cultivation (Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries), Agribusiness/Social Economics (Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries), Technology (Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries), and Environment. The Baselang Journal has implemented Open Journal Systems (OJS) since 2021 for all publishing processes in the Baselang Journal. Therefore, authors are required to register in advance and upload manuscripts online. Registration and login are required to submit the manuscript and its completeness online and to check the current status of the manuscript. Manuscript processing can be monitored through OJS by authors, editors, reviewers, and readers in real-time for all manuscripts.

Abstract

This research purpose is to analyze the effect of employee recruitment and placement on employee work productivity at PT Agro Wijaya Industri (AWI) Koto Rayo Village, Tabir District, Merangin Regency. Research used quantitative method. The research population is employees of PT Agro Wijaya Industri (AWI) and then,  research sample was 59 peoples of factory employees.. Result of the research showed that the Recruitment Variable (X1) obtained a value of t-count (2.701) t-table (2.003) and the Employee Placement Variable (X2) obtained a value of t-count (4.114) t-table (2.003), a simultaneous test obtained a value of F-count of 32.435 greater than F-table of 3,160. So it can be concluded that the recruitment (X1) and employee placement (X2) variables partially or simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the work productivity (Y) of PT employees. Agro Wijaya Industri, Merangin Regency. Based on the Summary Model output above, it can be seen that the R Square value is 0.537 or 53.7%. Where the dependent variable (Y) can be explained by the two independent variables at 53.7%, while the remaining 46.3% is influenced by other dimensions outside the research

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi agar-agar terhadap kulaitas selai lembaran terong ungu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancang Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan konsentrasi agar-agar terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yaitu 1% (A1), 1,25% (A2), 1,5% (A3), 1,75% (A4), 2% (A5) yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali sehingga diperoleh 20 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa selai lembaran terong ungu berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kadar air, kekeuatan gel, tekstur, warna, plastisitas, penerimaan keseluruhan, dan penerimaan keseluruhan menggunakan roti namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap total padatan terlarut. Perlakuan yang tepat dalam pembuatan selai lembaran terong ungu terdapat pada perlakuan konsentrasi agar- agar 1,75% dengan kadar air 15,01%, total padatan terlarut 116 ⁰Brix, kekuatan gel 75,024 gr/cm2, warna 4,03 (coklat), plastisitas 4,40 (tidak mudah patah), penerimaan keseluruhan 3,53 (agak suka), dan penerimaan keseluruhan menggunakan roti 3,80 (agak suka).

Abstract

The Vanda sp orchid is an endemic flower that is widespread throughout Indonesia. Generative propagation of Vanda sp orchids takes a long time because the seeds are very small and do not have endosperm. Tissue culture techniques can be used to propagate Vanda sp orchids. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of giving potassium nitrate (KNO3) and Thiamin on Vanda sp orchid explants on Murashige and Skoog (MS) media in vitro. The design used was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design consisting of two factors, namely KNO3 (Without KNO3 /control, 1,700 mg/l, 1,900 mg/l, and 2,100 mg/l), the second treatment Thiamin (Without Thiamin /control, 0 .1 mg/l, 0.5 mg/l, and 0.9 mg/l. The research results showed that the concentration of Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) alone had a significant effect on all parameters, the best treatment was at a KNO3 concentration of 1,900 mg/l with an average 4.08 shoots and a height of 1.44 cm, 5.56 roots and a root length of 1.35 cm, while the highest number of leaves was 4.50, the best concentration of KNO3 was 2,100 mg/l. Thiamin treatment alone had a significant effect on The parameter for the number of leaves was 4.33 at a Thiamin concentration of 0.5 mg/l, for the number of roots was 5.06 at a Thiamin concentration of 0.9 mg/l. The interaction between KNO3 and Thiamin had a significant effect on the number of leaves, 5.11 at the KNO3 combination. 2,100 mg/ and Thiamin 0.5 mg/l, while the number of roots was 6.22 in the combination of KNO3 1,900 mg/ and Thiamin 0.1 mg/l.

Abstract

One of the basic needs for agricultural products is rice. In Indonesia, rice is the most important food for the development of the country's economy because rice is the most important staple food in this country, covering more than half of the population. The aim of the research is to find out how much influence the harvest area (X1), rice consumption (X2) has on rice crop production (Y) in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. Secondary data was obtained through the South Sulawesi Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The method used is multiple linear regression analysis in the Cobb-Douglas function using the SPSS version 22 program. The research results show that harvest area (X1) partially has a negative and significant effect on production. Meanwhile, rice consumption (X2) partially has a positive and significant effect on production. Indonesian people's recommendations must also be balanced with rice production and consumption that can meet food needs.

Abstract

Pengembangan pertanian bawang merah sebenarnya dapat berupa harga konsumen, sehingga harga bawang merah di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dilihat tahun 2019-2024 yaitu pola yang mengandung unsur trend dan memprediksi stabilitas harga kepada konsumen. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis trend dan memprediksi harga bawang merah di Sulawesi Selatan. Data sekunder diperoleh melalui lembaga atau   instansi terkait, seperti Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Dinas Pertanian Tanaman Pangan dan Dinas Perkebunan Propinsi Sulawesi Selatan serta sumber-sumber lain yang dapat menunjang penelitian ini. Data sekunder juga dikumpulkan meliputi data sekunder pusat informasi harga pangan strategis (PIHPS) nasional. Hasil penelitian bahwa Trend perkembangan perubahan harga bawang merah mulai periode Januari 2019 sampai Desember 2023 adalah cenderung meningkat. Hal ini ditandai oleh koefisien regresi yang positif sebesar 62,535. Memprediksi harga bawang merah pada bulan Januari sampai Desember 2025 dengan harga bawang merah sekitar Rp. 23.427 perkg – Rp. 24.115 perkg. Tahun 2026 sampai Desember 2026 sebesar Rp. 24.177  perkg – Rp. 24.865 perkg di Sulawesi Selatan. Dengan demikian, produsen meningkatkan produktivitas bawang merah sebagai antisipasi peningkatan permintaan yang besar dan memungkinkan konsumen mengendalikan biaya ketika harga bawang merah sedang tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi tingkat produksi padi sawah dan faktor produksi apa yang paling berpengaruh terhadap produksi padi sawah dan penelitian ini dilaksanakan di desa Malapari Kecamatan Muara Bulian Kabupeten Batang Hari. Dengan menggunakan data primer dan data skunder. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode accidental sampling dengan 40 petani sabagai responden. Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah luas lahan, benih, pupuk, pestisida dan tenaga kerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa luas lahan, benih, pupuk, pestisida dan tenaga kerja secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap produksi padi sawah dengan nilai f-hitung f-Tabel (f-hitung 460,821 f-tabel 2,49).dan luas lahan merupakan faktor  yang paling berpengaruh terhadap produksi padi sawah dengan nilai t hitung 2,536 t tabel 2,03.

Abstract

Land use change commonly occurs as a logical consequence of regional development. Widely known drivers include government policies, as well as physical, social and economic causes. The research sets its goals to (1) Identify land use change in Bungo Regency between 1993, and 2011; (2) Predict 2011 and 2025 land use based on Markov Chain and measure their accuracies; (3) Evaluate the regency’s 2001-2011 land allocation.This research found that land use in Bungo was substantially altered during 1993-2011 period. Forest declined about 87,754 Ha or about 18.84% of the test site. Three biggest raises were oil palm plantation (8.84%), rubber plantation (5.89%) and upland agriculture (2.23%).Based on the results of the multinomial logit analysis, it is indicated that the factors that play a real role at the 70% confidence level, the additional factor is the distance of the regent street. These included distance to regency-managed road, slope, soil type, and land allocation in spatial planning. In general, this research suggested that about 44.1% of 2011 land use was in agreement to respective land allocation. It was discovered that Markov Chain was able to predict 2011 land use in high precision (about 98.5%).
