Abstract

Wireless Power Transfer is a way of sending electrical energy through air media, so that electrical energy can be transmitted from a power source to an electrical load without using a conductor or cable. The maximum distance that can be sent by the transmitter to the receiver is 5cm with a voltage of 1.3 volts. This proves that the farther the distance between the transmitter and the receiver, the smaller the voltage and the smaller the power that can be transmitted. Likewise, if the distance between the receiver and transmitter is getting closer, the voltage and power that can be emitted will be even greater.

Abstract

Stroke is a disease that has a long-term impact on people who experience it. Not only "sudden attacks" are feared, but also the consequences that follow. The condition of paralysis in certain limbs will certainly be very disturbing and even hamper one's life activities. The rehabilitation process takes a long time, so the patient experiences boredom. In the rehabilitation process there are several tools needed by post-stroke patients such as the use of movement aids and using memory training aids such as brain games. The accelerometer sensor and gyroscope sensor can be used to control post-stroke therapy games. With this stroke therapy game, patients are expected to be happier to carry out the stroke therapy process. This tool makes stroke therapy fun and can be done at home.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a private company engaged in the business of producing ceramics. The problem in the current warehouse is the presence of defective ceramic products due to irregular placement of finished products. Irregular placement of ceramic products, which can cause inefficiency in picking time and make it difficult for workers because of the limited space for movement that can hinder the movement of workers on the production floor. The above problems can be overcome by using the Shared storage method where goods are placed in the storage area closest to the entrance-exit (I/O) door. This method would be better used in types of factories that have the same product dimensions or not much different. The lack of good procedures for arranging goods in the warehouse causes problems in the warehouse, so that the warehouse seems cramped and less organized. The condition of the warehouse layout that is not based on a comprehensive layout design can lead to inefficiency in the time of taking and storing materials and making it difficult for operators to handle materials due to warehouse limitations. In this case, the process of placing goods in the warehouse at the ceramic factory of PT. XYZ will be arranged to reduce the forklift movement distance shorter which can be seen from the results of the proposed design on the layout of the finished product placement in the warehouse. Looking at the design of the proposed ceramic product warehouse layout, the percentage of total travel distance savings in the finished product warehouse is 37.76%.

Abstract

Induction motors are alternating current motors that are most often used in the industrial world. Induction motors are used as pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, and supporting other production propulsion equipment. The use of induction motors in industry is more profitable than DC motors or synchronous motors, one of the advantages is a strong and durable construction and easy maintenance and high efficiency. The problem of one of the open stator phases is one of the problems in the operation of an induction motor. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a study in the form of analysis and research in the laboratory to see how the opening of one of the stator phases affects the performance and temperature rise of the induction motor. The test is carried out by overloading the induction motor by 0.5 Nm; 1.0 Nm; 1.5 Nm; 2.0 Nm; 2.5 Nm; 3.0 Nm. From the research conducted, it can be concluded that, among others, the opening of a single stator phase results in greater motor losses and an increase in motor temperature. Motor efficiency is better when the motor is in normal phase condition.

Abstract

This final project discusses the design of a dipole microstrip antenna with Cohen-Minkowski fractals for a frequency of 433 MHz which can be applied to Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) Band channels. The microstrip antenna uses a substrate made from FR-4 with a thickness of 1.6 mm and a channel impedance of 75 . Antenna design and simulation using AWR Microwave Office 2004 Software. The results of the design using the Cohen-Minkowski fractal can minimize the antenna size by 29% iteration-1, and 40% iteration-2 so as to give a VSWR value of 1.02 for the dipole without iteration, 1.74 for the iteration-1 fractal dipole, and 1, 26 iterations of fractal dipoles. The return loss resulting from the antenna design is -37.7 for the dipole without iteration, -11.29 for the iteration-1 fractal dipole, and -18.69 for the iteration-2 fractal. Then the gain obtained from the antenna design is 4.78 dB for the dipole without iteration, 4.91 dB for the iteration-1 fractal dipole, and 4.78 dB for the iteration-2 fractal dipole. The radiation pattern generated from the antenna is unidirectional.

Abstract

In the medical image processing of brain tumors, it is not only focused on the results of CT Scans and MRIs but also supporting software for analyzing brain tumor diseases. Every medical device requires a high specification computer to analyze the disease and this requires a lot of computers so that it requires a lot of funds plus the efficiency of the time needed in the image processing process. ITK is software that will be used to analyze tumors. In saving funds and time efficiency, a centralized computer system based on a network is needed, namely SOAP web service technology. The data to be used is the result of MRI with DICOM format. The system consists of a client application and a server application, the programming language used is C # (C Sharp). The client will send a slice of brain tumor image data on the server and the server will process the image data by segmenting the image data with the threshold segmentation method that is already available on the ITK software and will display the results of segmentation and brain tumor area on the client. Based on the test results, the area of the brain tumor in a slice of 4.45 cm2 by increasing the threshold value will reduce noise and also affect the area of the brain tumor. In testing the system using a standalone computer, the processing time obtained is 2.12 by testing a network-based system using a web service with one client, the processing time is 4.16 seconds, but the results of the black area obtained from the segmentation process are as large as 28.89 cm2. In the addition of four clients, the time difference is obtained by seconds in progress.

Abstract

In the implementation of construction projects, there are several methods of concrete implementation used, such as in situ concrete which is carried out in the implementation of casting at the project site so that it takes a long time and quite a lot of formwork. In addition, there is also a method of implementing pre-cast concrete which is basically the same as conventional concrete, but the production process is carried out in a special place for pre-cast production and then brought to the project site and installed into concrete to form a unified structure. So it doesn't take too long and is considered more efficient. This study aims to compare the cost and time of implementing in situ and pre-cast concrete methods on one of the bridge abutments of the Kuala Tanjung Multi Purpose Terminal Project using the data obtained in the form of image data, material prices, wages and equipment. And from the results of the calculation analysis, the results of the method of implementing concrete on one of the bridge abutments are that with in situ concrete it takes 7 days to implement with a total cost of Rp. 807,867,550, - and with pre cast concrete it takes 5 days to implement total cost Rp.612,345,190,-. So from this study, it was found that the comparison method for the implementation of pre-cast concrete was more efficient with a cheaper price comparison of Rp. 195.552.360, - and 2 days faster time for the work of one bridge abutment.

Abstract

A suitable telecommunications system to support a mobile communication system is a wireless communication system, which is a radio communication system complete with transmitting antennas and radio equipment. To be able to cover such a wide coverage, the coverage area is divided into sub-areas called cells. A collection of several cells is called a cluster, and several clusters will form a mobile cellular communication network area. The number of clusters in an area is affected by changes in parameters, especially the pathloss from the propagation environment. Planning in designing a communication network is needed to be able to see how much influence the parameter changes, especially the propagation attenuation factor and the number of clusters, is to make a computer program for cell planning. From the cell planning program, it can be obtained that the value of c/i is influenced by changes in the value of J when the value of n is 3.9. The value of c/i when the value of J is 3 is 6.5321. The value of c/i when the value of J is 4 is 8.4062. The value of c/i when the value of J is 5 is 9.8599. The value of c/i when the value of J is 6 is 11.0476. The value of c/i when the value of J is 7 is 12.0518. The value of c/i when the value of J is 8 is 12.9217. The value of c/i when the value of J is 9 is 13.6889. The value of c/i is influenced by changes in the value of n when the value of J is 15. The value of c/i when the value of n is 3 is 17.0167. The value of c/i when the value of n is 3.2 is 18.6698. The value of c/i when the value of n is 3.4 is 20.3231. The value of c/i when the value of n is 3.6 is 21.9761. The value of c/i when the value of n is 3.8 is 23.6293. The value of c/i when the value of n is 3.9 is 24.4561. The greater the number of cells, the greater the value of the signal ratio ratio (c/i) in the propagation. The propagation attenuation value is directly proportional to the signal ratio ratio (c/i). The greater the number of cells and the propagation attenuation, the greater the signal ratio ratio (c/i). The greater the value of the signal ratio ratio (c/i), the better the received signal quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of battom ash and fly ash in adsorbing artificial wastewater dye (PtCo) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) with three variations of adsorbent used in adsorption column. This research begins with the process of washing, drying and sieving adsorbent. Then proceed with the activation process of adsorbent using HCl 1 M which is heated at 90 0C for 1 hour accompanied by stirring. The adsorption system used is continuous (column) with up-flow flow pattern and using the pump to provide pressure so that the influent can pass through the adsorbent contained in the column. The characteristic analysis of adsorbent was done on moisture content, ash content, and iodine absorption. The highest moisture content and ash content obtained were 0.6% with fly ash adsorbent before activation and 0.285% with fly ash adsorbent after activation. Compared with SNI 06-3730-95 has been appropriate, while the iodine drainage from bottom ash was 35.38 mg/g and fly ash of 50.76 mg/g and none meet SNI 06-3730- 95 of 750 mg/g. The highest efficiency results in dye and COD were found in adsorption column with fly ash adsorbent with color value of 96.96% and COD concentration of 83.26%, followed by stratified columns with combined adsorbent between battom ash and fly ash with color values of 53 , 93% and COD of 62.82%, and adsorbent by using battom ash efficiency of highest color value of 53.03% and COD of 71.08%. The highest adsorption capacity was obtained by using adsorption column with battom ash and fly ash (BF) adsorbent of 8.42 mg/g, followed by fly ash (FA) of 7.53 mg/g and battom ash (BA) of 7, 37 mg/g.
