Abstract

This research problem is related to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Manganitu, Sangihe Islands Regency. This study aims to examine the implementation of the 2013 curriculum on IPS subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Manganitu, Sangihe Islands Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research focus is the study of the 2013 curriculum implementation and the sub-focus of this research is the condition of facilities, teacher preparation, student readiness. The informants in this study were the principal, deputy principal in the curriculum field, subject teachers and students of SMP Negeri 2 Manganitu, Kepulauaun Sangihe Regency. Primary data were collected using observation techniques (direct observation), interviews, and documentation and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The data analysis technique used in this study was the Milles and Huberman technique. Determination of informants in this study using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The results showed, the condition of the facilities in the school was still incomplete, such as inadequate opening lesson packages so that students were not allowed to bring textbooks to their homes, inadequate internet networks, Lack of teacher readiness in implementing the 2013 curriculum implementation of learning methods boring, student dwellings that are far from school. So that the process of implementing the 2013 curriculum has not been maximal to apply.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the socio-economic condition of the fishermen community in Peling Sawang Village, West Siau District, Sitaro Regency which is still very low. The purpose of this study was to examine the factors that influence the socio-economic conditions of fishermen in Peling Sawang Village, West Siau District, Sitaro Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method that aims to make a qualitative description, a research method based on the philosophy of postpositivism, used to examine the conditions of natural objects. The variables of this study are the level of education, infrastructure, socio-economic conditions of fishermen. , fishermen's income. The population and sample in this study were the fishing community in Peling Sawang Village, West Siau District and the sample to be taken was 10% of 225 families, namely 22 families. The data collection techniques in this research are observation, interview and observation. The data analysis technique in this research is the case study descriptive analysis technique. Based on the results of the research, it was found that fishermen in Peling Sawang Village, classified as basic education (SD and SMP) as much as 87.73%. Fishermen families have many children, with the average child of each head of the family, namely 3 children. As many as 68.26% of dependents owned by fishermen families are classified as large, namely more than 5 people. In general, the fishing gear used by fishermen in this study is only traditional equipment, so that the catch they get is inadequate by using a boat and its reach is limited to waters that are not so far away, only 3-4 km

Abstract

The problems in this study are the declining condition of the plantations and palm plants, the uncertain income of the palm sugar craftsmen, the large number, the low educational background, the number of dependents that have to be financed by the head of the family and the government who is less active in supporting the economic activities of the craftsmen in Indonesia. Kalait Dua Village, South Toulongga District, Southeast Minahasa Regency. The purpose of this study was to examine the socio-economic life of palm sugar craftsmen in Kalait Dua Village, South Toulua District, Southeast Minahasa Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used were direct observation, interviews, documentation and FGD (Focused Group Discussion). The informants in this study were 5 palm sugar craftsmen. The data analysis technique used was the Milles and Huberman technique, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed, 1) The condition of the palm tree plantations in Kalait Dua Village, South Touluing District, Southeast Minahasa Regency was classified both in its existence and productivity. 2) The income condition is classified as high, namely 2,000,000 to 4,000,000 per month. 3) The level of education is low. 4) The level of responsibility of the head of the family is relatively low. 5) The role of the government has not been classified as good enough.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Socio-Economic Study of Coconut Farmers in Mangaran Village, Kabupdate Subdistrict, Talaud Islands Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results showed, namely: 1) the socio-economic existence of coconut farmers in the village of Mangaran has many benefits and uses for meeting their daily needs as well as main income besides cloves and nutmeg; 2) the existence of land accessibility is still inadequate so that coconut farming communities experience difficulties, especially in transporting coconut processing products to be marketed; 3) accessibility by sea still does not support, especially the existence of ships for the outbound transportation of the Talaud Islands district; 4) the selling price of coconut (copra) has decreased in 2018, below the standard of five hundred per kilo, so that the farming community is in trouble and is even embarrassed because they have to fail the panel; and 5) the role of the local government of the Talaud Islands district is still not empowering and striving for accessibility, both land and sea, and is not even able to minimize the existence of the selling price of coconut which has decreased below the standard of five hundred per kilogram. Therefore it is suggested that there should be efforts, especially by the local government of the Talaud Islands district, so that the existence of accessibility can support both land and sea, and even be able to maximize the selling price of coconut as the main income of coconut farming communities.

Abstract

The problem in this research is to determine the forms of local wisdom in preserving community forests in Tanah Towa Village, Kajang District, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi Province. This study aims to examine forms of local wisdom in Tanah Towa Village in the preservation of community forests. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques in this study were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the preservation of community forests was carried out. The people of Tanah Towa Village are still well managed and the existence of community forests greatly supports land conservation and maintains the availability of clean water in the village and improves the economy of the village community. The conclusion of this study is that there is a very close relationship between forest preservation and local wisdom in Tanah Towa Village so that there are 6 forms of local wisdom related to forest preservation, among others, traditional institutions in forest preservation, belief in patuntung kamase-mase simple), install ri kajang (rules), prohibition of cutting down trees, prohibition of killing and taking animals, and traditional rituals. And among the local wisdoms, there isasang Ri Kajang (rule) which has a role in managing all the activities of the Tanah Towa village community.

Abstract

The study describes the impact of sand mining on the environment in Ohoidertutu Village, West Kei Kecil District, Southeast Maluku Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results that the realization of sand mining in Ohoidertutu Village affected people's lives and even caused environmental damage and pollution. The research results explain 1) ownership of mining land is not clear, 2) sand mining does not have a permit, 3) the amount of the market price of sand so that mining is carried out without considering the impact on people's lives and the environment, 4) the condition of the mining area is very apprehensive, 5) sand mining is disturbing the existence of the community, 6) the village government is part of the sand mining, 7) the socio-economic existence of the community is disturbed by the loss of land and agricultural products, 8) sand mining hurts a negative impact on environmental damage and even pollution, loss of forest ecosystems, land and agricultural products, flooding, landslides and even disease outbreaks, 9) handling is still in the planning stage by the village government, and 10) solutions to closing mining land, hoarding, planting trees, cooperating with both the private sector and local governments.

Abstract

Peanut is a plant that has an important role in land and has a high selling value. Therefore it is necessary to take appropriate steps to develop peanut cultivation in the Panasen Sub-watershed by knowing the level of land suitability. The problems faced by the community are 1) lack of interest in the community to plant peanuts, 2) land-use change from agricultural land to lodging land 3) land evaluation has never been carried out for peanut plants in the area. The study used a land unit approach supported by soil analysis, plant growth requirements, and matching. The results showed that the research area was classified as suitable for peanut plants with a suitability class S2 (quite suitable) with a total of 4 land units, namely S2rfns (945.41 ha), S2sn (1675.15 ha), S2srn (938.05 ha), S2sn (13.45 ha) and class suitability of S3 (according to marginal) with 2 land units, namely S3s (12.95 ha), S3s (15.67 ha). The limiting factors for suitability class S2 are root media (r), nutrient retention (f), nutrient availability (n) and terrain (s). The limiting factor for suitability class S3 is the field (s). The limiting factor for N1 land suitability is nutrient availability (n), root media (r) and terrain (s). The limiting factors for conformity class N2 are the field (s) and the rooting medium (r).

Abstract

The problem in this research is that there is not yet a map of the distribution of customary tombs in Sesean Suloara District, North Toraja Regency. The results of the study explain that there are geographical and cultural problems that play a big role in determining the location of customary cemeteries. The research aims to describe the factors that influence the distribution of Toraja customary tomb patterns in Sesean Suloara District, North Toraja Regency. The process of descriptive qualitative research method with spatial approach (space) aims to analyze the distribution pattern of customary tombs in Sesean District Suloara North Toraja Regency. Analysis data is sourced from field surveys, interviews, observations and using GIS applications. The results of the parameter analysis of the distribution pattern of Sesean Suloara Subdistrict, North Toraja Regency, the nearest neighbor are 1.66 by paying attention to the continuity of the value of the analysis of the nearest neighbor. The distribution pattern of tombs in Sesean Suloara Subdistrict is an uneven (random pattern), distribution is identified along the Sapan-Pangli road.

Abstract

The research problem is to determine the ability of geography teachers in managing classes at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. This study used qualitative research methods with the research informants is geography teachers, amounting to 3 teachers with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that 1) the skills to create a good learning atmosphere, the geography teacher of SMA Negeri 2 Tondano have provided instructions, given admonitions, gave verbal and visual attention and focused attention in learning, 2) the ability of class mastery in the learning process with steps the teacher does, namely creating good interactions, creating a good atmosphere, creating learning flexibility and instilling discipline, 3) the ability to manage the interaction of learning activities, the steps taken by the teacher, namely focusing attention in learning, providing clear instructions about learning, providing reinforcement, provide motivation, and give admonitions and organize the learning space, 4) classroom arrangement skills with the steps the teacher takes in relation to class arrangement skills in the form of arranging student seating positions and preparing students to receive lessons, arranging the location of facilities who are in the classroom and organize the study room.

Abstract

The research problem is what is the form of the community's role in preserving springs and what factors influence the community's role in preserving springs in Budo Village, Wori District, North Minahasa Regency. The research method used is qualitative research with the informants are the government, community leaders, and residents. The results of this study indicate that: The forms of the role of the people of Budo Village play a role in preserving the springs in the village, including 1) by providing motivation and direction to residents, 2) giving the advice to preserve the springs, 3) maintain cleanliness and sustainable 4) maintain survival and provide assistance funds, 5) Be active in community service activities and provide assistance as needed, 6) Take part in preserving springs and being active in site arrangement activities. Some factors encourage or influence so that the need for efforts to conserve springs in Budo Village, Wori District. The factors meant include 1) springs as village assets, 2) springs as a source of life, 3) water as necessities, 4) water is very important for the population.
