Abstract

Sexual violence against children is an act related to sexual activity committed by adults against children which can harm the child and provide a threat to the child so that the child is forced to comply with the wishes of the perpetrator of the crime. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to explain or factually describe the topic of the study. This study aims to describe the family background of victims of sexual violence. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire in the form of several questions containing the research objectives. The sample of the study was 52 parents whose children experienced sexual violence or harassment. The results of the study describe the family background of victims of sexual violence in this study, namely those from families with low economic levels, and negligence of parents towards their children, namely in the form of lack of supervision and lack of closeness (interaction) between parents and children.

Abstract

Empathy is an individual ability to identify and understand about people’s feelings, so a person can see and feel other people’s feelings from many perspectives without losing control of themselves. The purposes of this research is to know about Empathy of Millenials Generation in Pekanbaru. It was a descriptive analytical statistic that involves 145 participants, which uses disproportionate stratified random sampling technique and Interpresonal Reactivity Index (IRI) scale that contains 20 items. The result shows that Millenial Generation in Pekanbaru have empathy in a medium range or average percentage 31,7% from 46 participants. There are significant differences between each age range (significancy score = 0,014, p < 0.05), the average score in 25-29 years old is the highest than other age range. There are no significant differences of averages empathy score based on gender, spare time, and language. We can conclude that Millenial Generation in Pekanbaru is not good enough in understanding other people’s feeling and put themselves up to other people.

Abstract

The mental health of an inclusive teacher must be considered, because the demands of an inclusive SD teacher have more challenges such as lack of facilities to teach child with dissability, lack of knowledge about child with dissability that affects the mental condition of an inclusive SD teacher. This study aims to determine how the mental health picture of elementary school (SD) inclusion teachers in Pekanbaru. Subjects in this study were 182 teachers selected using cluster sampling. This study uses the Mental Health Inventory scale (MHI-38) compiled by Viet and Ware (1983) and adapted by Faizah and Amnah (2007). The analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate the mental health of inclusive elementary school teachers in Pekanbaru is mostly in the medium category of 42.3%, meaning that most of the inclusive elementary school teachers have mental health that is neither high nor low either. The majority of psychological well-being and psychological distress are in the moderate category. When viewed from the age, length of teaching, and the work status of teachers it was found that there were no significant mental health differences, where the mental health of teachers tended to be moderate.

Abstract

Student education does not always run smoothly, partly because of the influence of rejection of being excluded from school and peers, rejection leads to alienation. Alienation is a feeling condition in which someone feels not part of anything that no one cares about by staying away from something. This study aims to determine the relation between self compassion and alienation in students senior high school 11 pekanbaru. The research subjects is120 students of senior high school 11 Pekanbaru. The sampling technique in this research was using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data collection process uses two scales, the Alienation scale is arranged by haldun (2018) which amounts to 15 items and self compassion scale is arranged by Hasanah and Hidayati (2016) which amounts to 24 items.While the statistical analysis data used in this research is the peason product moment. The result of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of rxy is -0,186 with p is 0,042 (p<0,05). It can be concluded that there is a negative and significant the relation between Self Compassion and Alienation in students senior high school 11 Pekanbaru. Where the correlation value is negative, it’s mean more high self compassion, the more low in students, the opposite more low self compassion, the more high alienation.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how people with physical disabilities understand the meaning of patience in an effort to live life. Using qualitative research with a phenomenological research design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, namely 6 subjects consisting of men and women with physical disabilities. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis method uses an interactive model which consists of three stages, namely data condensation, data display and conclusions: drawing. The results of this study conclude that the meaning of patience for people with physical disabilities is trying to stay calm, not complaining and not doing bad things and not doing things that are forbidden by Allah SWT by surviving and struggling, limiting themselves, Refrain from people's ridicule and always be optimistic about life. The factors that affect patience in people with physical disabilities are religiosity and social support.
