Abstract

Artikel ini adalah ulasan yang merupakan buku pembacaan buku pedoman (buku pegangan) berjudul Buku Pegangan Komunikasi Antarbudaya tentang kajian komunikasi dan kerjasama antarbudaya yang ditulis oleh Alexander Thomas, Eva Ulrike Kinast, Sylvia Schroll Machl pada tahun 2010. Dalam ulasan ini diterbitkan Ditinjau tentang isi buku dan memuat tematik yang digagasnya, juga disajikan berbagai analisis studi kasus yang banyak terjadi di lapangan. Tinjau ini membahas berbagai macam hal yang ada di dalam budaya yang terjadi di seluruh dunia. Mulai dari komunikasi antar budaya, komunikasi antarbudaya, bahasa antarbudaya, manajemen antarbudaya, serta berbagai tidak intrinsik lainnya mengenai perihal multikultural. Tujuan dari ulasan buku ini memberikan penjelasan mengenai kajian antarbudaya dan sekaligus memberikan penjelasan - penjelasan mengenai aspek kerja sama antar budaya. Kita akan melihat pada segitiga dinamis dari interkulturalisme terapan, yang menentukan aspek - aspek diri, perbedaan, dan elemen antar budaya dalam ulasan buku ini.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to find out PT Adi Banuwa's Business Communication Strategy in Improving Company Targets. The data source in this study uses the main informants and supporting informants. The main information is the directors of PT Adi Banuwa, while the supporting informants are from the employees of PT Adi Banuwa. Data collection uses interviews, observation and documentation. Analysis of the data used is a qualitative analysis method with data in the form of a graph of PT Adi Banuwa's target companies from 2017 to 2019. The theory used in this study is based on the Instrumental Model Of Persuation theory from Hovland. Based on the graph, it can be seen that from 2017 to 2019 there was an increase. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, PT Adi Banuwa should be able to add more business communication strategies so that the objectives of the company can be achieved more optimally.Keywords: communication; business; company target.

Abstract

Through interpersonal communication, a person can convey what is in the mind's mind to others both directly and indirectly. As is the case with students from NTT with other students in the area at the University of Dr. Soetomo in particular the Faculty of Communication Sciences. By trying to communicate with other students, of course they have various ways or communication that must be done. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the interpersonal communication of NTT students with other regional students at the University of Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. The research method used in this research is descriptive using qualitative research approaches. From the results of research conducted, it is known the interpersonal communication stage of NTT students with other regional students at the University of Dr. Soetomo Surabaya, where an individual is in the social and cultural life of others so that the concept of adjustment that must be done by NTT students comes when communicating. The process of individual experiences in interpersonal communication with others makes thoughts, self, and emotions on the topic of communication that will cause socio-cultural conditions between individuals with other individuals different meanings.Keywords: communication; interpersonal; student.

Abstract

this study uses qualitative methods, using the interpersonal communication theory of Josep De Vito. The purpose of this research is to know how Interpersonal communication between Team Carl's Jr. Kertajaya with customers can improve the assessment. In the service undertaken by team Carl's Jr. With customers always involve interpersonal communication to facilitate the work process as well to achieve the desired objectives. This research shows that interpersonal communication involves several aspects of achieving attitude change, opinion change, behavior change, and social change. Some of these aspects occur in several stations that are in service ranging from cashier, dining team, marketing, as well as supervisors with customers. Interpersonal communication here is used by the team to get the ease of reaching the goal, the cashier to upselling, the marketing team in introducing new products as well as facilities for customer loyalty, dining teams to make customers more comfortable, as well as supervisors in ensuring customer convenience during transactions. So that good interpersonal communication will generate customer satisfaction and help improve the service.Keywords: interpersonal communication; service; satisfaction; valuation; feedback.

Abstract

Interactive media allows a reciprocal flow of information that allows users to participate and modify the contents of the information at that moment (Real time). This interactive ability is also owned by social networks like Facebook, Instagram and other social networks, this is what makes online media superior. Instagram is so quick to adapt to the development of this popular technology that is an added value for Instagram that is complete with chat features and active user status to be a facility that can turn on this social networking site. Instagram is also accessed via mobile or tablet, therefore Instagram is utilized as a very effective and very efficient marketing communication medium. Elsphotographysub is one of the photo shooters who use Instagram as a marketing communication service. Various strategies have been carried out to maintain the existence of competition in the photography industry which is currently in view of the market which is very potential in an effort to promote services widely. Although not too large, but Elsphotographysub has been well known by this audience as evidenced by the achievement of 1,311 Instagram users who have followed the Elsphotographysub diagram as of January 23, 2020 and for some people who have used Elsphotographysub services.Keywords: elsphotographysub; instagram; services; marketing.

Abstract

Campus and understanding of radicalism that supports something new. The emergence of radicalism on campus is not without a long process. Radicalism arises because there is a communication process that occurs with networks that exist outside the campus. The radical stigma in higher education later became a special discussion at the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. The labeling of several tertiary institutions exposed to radicalism has an impact on the image of tertiary institutions. The reports that make a bad image on campus are allegedly exposed to these radical understandings. College students parents were not silent, some then persuaded to resign from campus. This research has aim to analyze the structure of discourse according to van Dijk in reporting the issue of radicalism among college students on the Kompas.com news portal. In this research, an analysis method with Van Dijk's view will be used. Van Dijk analyzed the text structure with three levels (Macro Structure, Superstructure, Micro Structure) so that the results of the analysis would be sharper. The results of the analysis can conclude that the construct of the news discourse made by Kompas.com in terms of text is included in the live news that is the actual news.Keywords: critical discourse analysis, campus, Kompas.com, radicalism, van Dijk.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what is in the news on social media by using framing analysis. The media used were Kompas.com, Liputan6.com and JawaPos.com media in reporting Wolfgang Pikal to resign from the Persebaya training chair. This study focused on the poor performance that occurred in Persebaya in the last six matches and the factors that caused the decline in Persebaya's performance. Through framing analysis of Zongdan Pan and Kosicky methods with several elements, namely syntax, scripts, thematic, and rhetorical. And using Ralf Dahrendof's conflict theory with several elements, namely capital decomposition, labor decomposition and the emergence of a new middle class as a unit of analysis in the discussion This study shows that the media as a reflection of reality. the results of this study will show how the media presents a picture of the news that has been loaded on social media.Keywords: framing, performance, conflict, reality reflection, supporters.

Abstract

Corner Village is a program from one of the local television channels, JTV, which is the most controversial and famous since it was first aired. The program uses Suroboyoan Language which is known as an inappropriate language educatively. Even so, Kampung Corner's rating is still high. The purpose of this study was to measure the effectiveness of the use of the Suroboyoan Language in the delivery of the Pojok Kampung JTV news as information on the community of Gayungan District, Surabaya City. This type of research is quantitative research. The total population of this study was 25,937 people. Then determine the sample with the Slovin formula in order to obtain a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used random sampling. In this study data collection was done by questionnaire technique. Data analysis techniques are done by simple tabulation, coding, editing. The results of this study are that the use of the Suroboyoan Language in the Pojok Kampung News Program has been considered effective by the research respondents who are spectators of the Pojok KampungNews program. This can be seen from measurements using the EPIC method, namely empathy, persuasion, impact, and communication.Keywords: suroboyoan language, news submission, pojok kampung.

Abstract

This research is titled Bonek communication behavior in building image in the community. Bonek is a football supporter of the Persebaya Surabaya team, supporters are an inseparable part of a football match, people's interest in watching and supporting their respective clubs in the stadium is one a form of loyalty support for the club. In social life Bonek often gets a negative stigma from all forms of behavior, this means Bonek Communication Behavior plays a role in shaping their image in the eyes of the public. This type of research uses qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study are by interviewing , observation and documentation. Abstract

Community life in Indonesia is still very much attached to patriarchal culture, where women are positioned as subordinates under the authority of men and stereotypes that negatively label women. Until finally causing social irregularities in the form of cases of sexual harassment against women at work. Utilizing digital media, Never Okay tries to empower women by calling for justice towards assault and harassment of women. With the discourse developed in an article on the story of the disease, this research focuses on how women are depicted in each article posted on the site neverokayproject.org. Utilizing qualitative studies using Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis method in unpacking the ideology behind the writing, researchers can conclude that by structuring the discourse in such a way that the article is deliberately made to influence the reader's opinion, especially supporters of the feminine movement.Keywords: patriarchy, sexual harassment, never okay, feminism.
