Abstract

Technological character recognition or OCR (Optical Character Recognition) have had fairly rapid growth and many have been used. Although the text recognition programs are widely available, but the majority of these programs can only recognize the Latin alphabet. How to recognize Arabic characters are converted to text alphabet is still very rare. Though the existence of Arabic text recognition has many advantages, for example, for people who do not recognize the Arabic script, it can be used as an alternative way to learn. This text recognition application using Artificial Neural Network learning algorithms (ANN) which is backpropagation algorithm an effective character classification which described in this study. In this study, the application will be developed to recognize the character recognition of Arabic characters Hijaiyah bare particular letters and Arabic numerals. Algorithms presented in the program as a tangible example of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) will be implemented in the Java programming language (Java Programming Language). With a certain level of accuracy in operation, can be obtained results (output) character appropriate to the class learning formed through the "OCR Train". Once fully developed, the application will then be tested by establishing Hijaiyah characters and Arabic numerals which are stored as image / image. Then open the file with the appropriate type of artificial neural expected to recognize the text in images of text characters / images are tested.Keywords: Optical Character Recognition, Text Recognition, Java Language Programming, Artificial Neural Network, Backpropagation, Arab.

Abstract

The business world is growing very rapidly. To improve the efficiency of business processes in a company, it is necessary to smooth and timely communication. Thus, communication becomes something vital at this time. One issue that often arises is the lack of communication media that provided by the company. Thus, employees are difficult to establish communication between them to support the company needs. To have a communication medium is one of the goao of the company, in order to facilitate communication between the employees, where they can communicate each other either through medium of sound in which they can communicate without they have to move from the table their work and also can log their events, using this application, which their sound can be recorded and strored in server. Companies find it easier to monitor employees. Obviously this will be an advantage because the communications between employees will become more smoothly. Thus, employees at the company's communication issues expected to be resolved soon with the application.Keywords: VoIP, Client, Server, RTP

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has enabled the fulfillment of industrial demands which will operate with a high level of efficiency. The use of information technology in the industry is in managing the human resources, they able to manage data capture process, information processing, and process to calculate the remuneration. Specifically for attandence process capture data, we can be used biometric technology, or smart card technology. Biometric technology is the best option in terms of the data validity, but unfortunately, not every organization has sufficient funds to adopt a biometric attendance system. In solving this problem, this study will develop an attendance system that is cost effective, thus become more attractive for the small and medium organizations to adopt this system. Based on RFID technology, the system requires an RFID starter kit connected to a computer as a terminal. The process of employee attendance capture can be done efficiently, if just put the RFID card close to the RFID card reader. The system is also designed to support the employee shift system and the report of employee absences, increasing the effectiveness of human resources data processing to calculate the employee of remuneration. The system is expected to be an alternative solution for small and medium sized organizations to improve the quality of human resources.Keywords : RFID starter kit, RFID ID-12, employee attendance system

Abstract

The diesel engine is the ignition system of internal combustion. In principle this machine is an utilization of air and fuel. Then, the mixture fuel will burn by itself. To improve the ability of diesel engines, today many are using the turbocharger, which use for compressing air and speed up the release of the combustion gases. Turbochargers work by using a kick of flue gas. Exhaust gases which is out from the machine will out through turbine and rotate the impeller. The impeller is connected also with impeller of new gas turbine. As a result of the rotation of the impeller then the gas replacement cycle becomes faster. The Impeller in turbine can rotate very fast therefore it requires lubrication it self. Frequently found problem that damage the turbocharger because the channel is blocked by lubricating oils that dries as a result of turning off the engine, after the machine work without any cooling process. The solution to this problem is to install a turbo timer-based IC NE555 which can be organized timely for allowing the machine to spin for a while even the engine is ignition is turn off. By providing opportunity to the engine to work stationary this situation will reduce damage caused by a clogged drain lubricanting oil.Keywords : Diesel engine, Turbocharging, Turbo Timer

Abstract

PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa has been one of the leading providers of Enterprise Information Technology (IT) and Test & Measurement (T&M) solutions in Indonesia, which is located in Building Berca. Jl. Abdul Muis No. 62, Central Jakarta. PT Berca Hardayaperkasa has its own building as its headquarters. To maintain stability of the company's performance stable electricity needed, therefore as a backup power, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa pick the generator to maintain the stability of the tank where this generator diesel as fuel storage and current measurement of the tank volume is still done manually, which needed someone to come into a diesel tank to measure the volume of the tank using an iron rod is dipped in the tank and recorded disebuah form, then the results are stored in a recording of accounting regularly reported. Of these problems, the authors tried to make an experiment and manufacture of hardware and its software in the form of interface. Design method that is used as a process model or paradigm of software engineering in this paper is by using the method of the waterfall model of the system will assist officers in the generator tank volume monitoring in real time while also facilitate in making the report is based on the volume of diesel fuel tank level, besides the advantage of this system is the alarm that can inform the officer if a decline in volume at a certain level, not only that the system is also based on client - server which will allow officers to monitor the tank from any computer as long as the computer is connected to the network. After the experiment the authors conclude with the personnel system makes it easy to create reports and the officer can determine if a decline in the volume of the alarm through sent via email and voice alarm will sound when the volume of the tank is in levelcritical. Hopefully, this system can be used and further developed to monitor the volume of the tank at the pump. Keywords : Ultrasonic, Tank Solar Measurement

Abstract

PT.Tatalogam Lestari is a company engaged in the manufacture of metal tiles. In terms of procurement of raw materials, the company has several suppliers. Fulfillment of anticipation aspect on raw material requirements often changes with uncertain deviation. This situation led the company on the issue of supplier selection. Wrong decision on selecting suppliers has negative impact on the quality of raw materials, which will certainly have an impact on the company's losses. Therefore, it takes a decision support system that can perform supplier selection for PT. Tatalogam Lestari. This research uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to provide ranking value for each supplier. Abstract

Presidential Instruction No.3, 200 on Policy and Strategy of National Development, start to trigger the local government to immediately applying e-government in their area in order to utilize executing good governance and to improve the effective and efficient public service. Depkominfo(Minister of Communication and Information) provides a reference for developing and exploiting ICT in governance environment to measure the readiness of local government in developing the e-government. Reference made in the form of Indonesia e-government ranking (Pemeringkatan E-government Indonesia-PeGI). Since 2007, PeGI has been applied in provincial level. This research aim to see how they applied in regency/community level. The Research conducted is based on literature study and interview by using qualitative methodologies. The analysis conducted by assessing 5 dimension of PeGI’s. The Analysis look at the impact of conformity assessment inficator of PeGI, because there is an absence of impact assessment of 5 dimensions indicators of PeGI, which is still appropriate to be applied in regency/municipality level. In this research, it is recommended the regency/municipality level do the assessment of e-goverment in their regency/municipality by using indicator that stil fit. Abstract

This research is aimed to measure the students’ satisfaction of SIAK-NG. SIAK-NG is an information system to facilitate the students in Universitas Indonesia to plan the students’ studies. This is a Quantitative Research. Meanwhile the question of this research is do the students’ satisfy to the information security in SIAK-NG. The students’ satisfaction will effect to the quality of this University. Primary data was taken from the field survey by spreading the questionnaire to the sample which are selected. The researcher use Ramdom sampling in choosing the samples because it deals directly with the system. Secondary data obtained from various sources, both within the institution and outside the institution as well as books and records relating to the problem under study. The data obtained will be used for the descriptive data analysis with statistical methods. The test results and analysis are expected to provide results on the allegation the influence of variables on student satisfaction information security.Keyword: Next-Generation Student Academic Information Systems (SIAK-NG), Information Security, Student Satisfaction.
